Stayed 4 nights

The house was better than we expected. Very roomy; wonderful back yard with plenty of space and seats; the beds were very comfortable as well as the furniture; easy walk to the beach and bay; we love that we could bring our golden retriever; communication was fast and very helpful. Upstairs balcony was wonderful. It was helpful that there were two thermostats, one upstairs and one downstairs. They were four of us and extra beds for additional people….ample parking on the side of the house for four cars. Though the house is located on route 35 south, we did not mind the traffic at all. Close to downtown Lavallette. A very enjoyable stay overall!

Enjoyed vacation! Very responsive on issues we had. We had an ant issue, but we somewhat resolved (hint: used Dawn dishwashing liquid in spray bottle)

My family of 9 had an enjoyable stay at the Lavallette Beach House the only thing that didn't cooperate was the weather but that didn't stop our fun. The house was perfect since it allowed us to have visitors and up to 2 dogs. We were visiting Jersey for my cousin's birthday and to have some beach time since we live in the desert. My family is originally from the area so having a house for friends and family to visit really allowed us to rest and sleep in instead of drving up and down the Parkway. The house had plenty of parking on site and on the street. It was quiet, yes there were cars that drove by in front of the house but it wasn't noisy or disturbing to my sleep. The house was also quiet. I couldn't hear conversations from other rooms or bathroom noises. Yes, we would hear the water from the shower but that seems to be pretty typical as well. The Kitchen provided seating for 8 around the island and plenty of couch and chair area. The outdoor seating area is spacious and provides another 6 - 8 seats. There were also sufficient amounts of plates, serving dishes, glasses and mugs. The beds were comfortable. I slept well. The location is perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and a great community. I have to give a shout out to Tracy, the Property Manager, she went above and beyond for us. Top Notch customer service and response. She even brought us an ironing board.

My family and I have rented many VRBO’s and I rely heavily on the reviews from prior renters when making a decision to book a stay. Ninety-five percent of the time the ratings match our expectations. This is a rare time that the overall rating (9.8) made by 10 renters did not. Our biggest issue was the noise which (to our surprise) was not mentioned in any of the reviews. When you book you do not know the exact location. The primary bedroom faces Route 35. While the other bedrooms do not face Rt 35 the road noise affects them as well. Also, the walls are very thin and you can hear people in the bathroom and bedrooms. Aside from the noise, the house needs some TLC. For example, there are lightbulbs and thermostat batteries that need to be replaced, the toilet paper holder in the primary bathroom is broken, the chairs on the primary balcony are falling apart, one of the living room chairs has legs that are very loose, there are 4 wine glasses and about 6 tall glasses (for a house that sleeps 12). Aside from the noise all of these concerns can be easily rectified. On the upside the owner and manager were very responsive. They responded quickly to questions and brought us blankets when some of us were cold at night. The location provides easy access to the beach, bay and restaurants. The beds were comfortable, and the heating and cooling is adjustable to your comfort level. The main room was bright and sunny and there was plenty of space for all of us to gather at the same time.
