Hotel Thalfried

The receptionist was incredibly unhelpful. No one spoke English and when our German was not enough there was no understanding or customer thinking. Just a constant repetition of the words she knew we did not understand. When there was a problem with the payment via Hotels.com she had no interest in helping to try to solve it. Just to get a credit card. We had an apartment and even though there is a small kitchenette there is no plates, glasses, cutlery etc. Completely empty. The staff in the Biergarten was very nice and the food was great. We brought our dog and even thou it said dogs were allowed if you paid extra the receptionist made it very clear that she did not want it there. It is also not allowed in the restaurant but it is welcome in the Biergarten. And the servers there loved her. A lot of stairs so if you have any issues with that it can be hard. The pillows where horrible. Gigantic and hard or gigantic and super soft. We got one of each. The curtain in the bathroom does not hide anything and the people in the Biergarten could see straight into our bathroom on the second floor. The balcony was large and nice though quite simple in it’s furnishings. There was absolutely no information about anything in the room. I would not recommend a visit. We could live with most of it but the lack of service and customer service from the receptionist overrides all of it and left a dark feeling over the whole stay.

Amazing welcome, the owners went out of their way to accomodate us. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, breakfast is great: fresh and a lot of choice.

Das Hotel befand sich in einer ruhigen Tallage. Der Empfang war freundlich und nett. Das Zimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber. Wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Im Restaurant war das Essen gutbürgerlich und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Preise waren angemessen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und flott.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön, die Inhaber des Hotels waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.
