We stayed here for a murder mystery party I threw for my husband's 30th birthday party. It was the perfect setting for this event. Plenty of space and a large fridge to hold all the food needed! It had gorgeous views and the windows in the living area were phenomenal! All in all, it exceeded my expectations for this event!

It was a family “girls weekend “. We all had a fabulous time. It was an extremely hot and humid weekend and the house stayed nice and cool. Steve’s house is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed watching all the wildlife meandering through the backyard.

This house is in a quiet location very close to Adventure Land and Walmart. The space was perfect for our 4 teens to spread out and do their own things. There’s a nice yard and patio space as well. We highly recommend this house for large family stays!

We met my parents there for a long weekend. The yard in late May is more beautiful than the pictures show. So nice to sit outside on the porch and relax. Easy access to Des Moines and surrounding area; drove around Drake University where my Dad graduated 60 years ago. Great location with good restaurants nearby. Lots of new of new stores and development in the Altoona and Ankeny area. Not a bad drive up to Ames/Iowa State and Reiman Gardens either.

Charming older property with a great view. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of off street parking for our 3 vehicles. Steve was exceptionally great to work with. During the first day of our stay one of the 2 AC units went out (during the hottest, most humid days) and he was immediately responsive and had a new unit installed by the next day, updating us on the progress the entire time. The home had a large kitchen with lots of counter space for our meal prep. Both the kitchen table and the dining area had ample space for the 6 of us to sit, eat and play games. The check in process and access to the property was simple and Steve even walked me through an issue with my account. The property is close to all the things one would need such as Walmart, Target and Hyvee and plenty of dining options.

We came to town for a week for a cattle show at the state fairgrounds. We were super pleased with how easy it was to get to and from and anything we would need to stop for was conveniently along the way. House was super comfortable and spacious for our family. Also very private. Things that might just be helpful for a family to know if you're traveling with really little kids or older adults is that the main entrance is up a nice rock stair case. It wasn't an issue for our family but if my parents would have been along it wouldn't have worked out. If we ever find ourselves back in the area we will surely be looking to stay here again.

I needed extra space to host a couple of relatives coming into town for a visit. The house is on a spacious piece of property with plenty of parking. Peaceful and quiet while close to everything. It’s perfect for a weekend retreat. Large kitchen and dining area ideal for meals and games.

We met up for an early thanksgiving with 4 young children. This property was perfect. Spacious and clean, in a beautiful neighborhood. The property manager was responsive but not invasive. Highly recommend.

Myself, with my 2 longtime best friends, stayed 3 nights at the home, from the 13th to the 16th. We visited the Fair, enjoyed some shopping and a lot of time together. The house is welcoming, the reservation process and communication with the owner were hassle-free and prompt. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable. The location was easily accessible and very quiet. I would recommend staying here, 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms offer a great deal of privacy and space.

Highly recommended for a place to stay! This was the first time we rented a house unsight unseen for our vacation and this house did not disappoint at all! The house was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was great! We will be back!

Really enjoyed our stay. Home was very close to activities we had planned, which made it very convenient. Everything worked as expected, property was very clean! Check in and check out was a breeze, Steve was great!

Our visit was a mix of funeral concert and family gathering. This property was so very accommodating with room for us all. So many activities just around the corner, but we felt so safe and tucked away. It was a incredible fall weekend. Great time to visit this area.

This was a repeat stay at this beautiful home! We stayed here last year and loved it so we booked it again for this year. We will definitely be staying here again. The house is located in a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood and you feel like you are out of city limits. There is so much room for you and your family to spread out and have some privacy! And the endless windows allowed for a great view!The host is so nice and his communication was top notch! He was always available with any questions or inquiries. We had a large group that traveled into the area for a car show and we decided to rent a house rather than a hotel and we couldn’t have been more happy with what we got with this property.Great communication with our host and it was exactly what we were looking for, looking forward to staying here again

Awesome stay per usual! Quiet location, great wildlife. Our host shoveled the walk for us during an Iowa snowstorm! This was more then expected as they had already allowed us to add a night at the beginning of the trip to beat the storm! Great stay.

Charming older property with a great view. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of off street parking for our 3 vehicles. Steve was exceptionally great to work with. During the first day of our stay one of the 2 AC units went out (during the hottest, most humid days) and he was immediately responsive and had a new unit installed by the next day, updating us on the progress the entire time. The home had a large kitchen with lots of counter space for our meal prep. Both the kitchen table and the dining area had ample space for the 6 of us to sit, eat and play games. The check in process and access to the property was simple and Steve even walked me through an issue with my account. The property is close to all the things one would need such as Walmart, Target and Hyvee and plenty of dining options.

The property was just as expected or a little more spacious in fact. Had all of the items that we needed and very clean. We were in town for the National Finals Rodeo at the Fairgrounds and was an easy commute.

Myself, with my 2 longtime best friends, stayed 3 nights at the home, from the 13th to the 16th. We visited the Fair, enjoyed some shopping and a lot of time together. The house is welcoming, the reservation process and communication with the owner were hassle-free and prompt. It was very clean, spacious, comfortable. The location was easily accessible and very quiet. I would recommend staying here, 3 separate bedrooms and bathrooms offer a great deal of privacy and space.

This was a repeat stay at this beautiful home! We stayed here last year and loved it so we booked it again for this year. We will definitely be staying here again. The house is located in a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood and you feel like you are out of city limits. There is so much room for you and your family to spread out and have some privacy! And the endless windows allowed for a great view!The host is so nice and his communication was top notch! He was always available with any questions or inquiries. We would highly recommend this host and this property for your vacation accommodations! Thank you.

We stayed here for a murder mystery party I threw for my husband's 30th birthday party. It was the perfect setting for this event. Plenty of space and a large fridge to hold all the food needed! It had gorgeous views and the windows in the living area were phenomenal! All in all, it exceeded my expectations for this event!

What a great place. The house was plenty big enough that’s for sure. I was in town for work and found this gem. After work I could go there and unwind in complete silence. They have a really nice bar down the road that you can walk to and literally everything that you would need like a place to eat or shopping was right down the road. It was a perfect location and highly recommend for workers or a family that wants to get away and not be inconvenienced. I really enjoyed this work trip and will stay here again if I’m ever in the area.

We met my parents there for a long weekend. The yard in late May is more beautiful than the pictures show. So nice to sit outside on the porch and relax. Easy access to Des Moines and surrounding area; drove around Drake University where my Dad graduated 60 years ago. Great location with good restaurants nearby. Lots of new of new stores and development in the Altoona and Ankeny area. Not a bad drive up to Ames/Iowa State and Reiman Gardens either.

Our stay was outstanding with the house well described and functional for our family. It was quiet and full of windows allowing us to see the abundance of birds, rabbits & squirrels, as well as a deer walking through the creek bed. Everything about our stay was excellent including the communication and directions. We would recommend this to friends and family! Great experience!

We were looking for house that was in a quiet area on the east side of Des Moines metro. This house was perfect. When the blizzard hit, we watched it from the large living room windows. Actually saw 15 deer cross the creek. Nice place to chill. Steve was great, responding to any messages we sent his way.
