Scenic lakefront retreat with water access, private dock, grill, W/D & fireplace

BEWARE….as a long time VRBO customer and Lake George vacationer I was totally disappointed with this property. Advertised with boat dock, we were shocked that the dock was unavailable. Having trailered a boat three hours you can understand the hardship we encountered trying to find a marina to take the boat for the week. Propane fireplace was not working and took the manager 4 days to have someone look at it and get it working! Oven did not work. Biggest disappointment was with the Vacasa manager they were uncaring, not helpful and rude!

House was great! Outside had VERY limited access to lake. Not sure why they wouldnt build on too of boat house for sitting area like most around them

Warning - VACASA property management property. Not owner managed. No interactions will be through VRBO and communications mat result in you having to call a 1-800 call center rather than the simplicity of using the VRBO app. The property would have been great, but it was clear the the property management company doesn't care about the renters like a VRBO owner would. The driveway was a dangerous, unsalted sheet of ice. The porches weren't shoveled at all leaving them completely unusable due to the foot of ice. The steps to the lake, all 67 of them, were completely uncleared despite the proximity and access to the lake being a major selling point. We've stayed at tons of properties in snowy areas during the winter and have never seen one this unprepared for renters. It's like they thought no one would rent in the winter or they forgot we were coming. If you need anything, like the property manager to address a broken garbage disposal and a clogged sink, well they won't answer on VRBO, instead they want you to call their 800 number and wait on hold. We never heard back during our stay, maybe your results will vary. All in all, snow removal aside, it seems like a great property and cool owners... But VACASA, their property manager company ruined it for us.

We loved our stay. 67 steps is a fantastic property; quaint, bright, and peaceful. Kitchen was fully equipped, bedrooms were sparkling clean and beautifully furnished, and the house was warm and welcoming. We highly recommend this home.
