Property is clean, Modern and have a great pool and hot tub. The area at night doesn’t feel safe, but the Hotel experience is worth it. The rooms are spacious and clean. Kids enjoyed it. Felt safe and secure in the rooms and smelled clean.

Everything about checking in went smoothly. The night clerk was professional and friendly. He explained everything clearly. The comfort of the room was amazing. Nice and cool. Water pressure could have been stronger but still ok. Pool was clean. Hot tub was perfect. The breakfast bar was delicious and clean. The lady working there was friendly and funny. I felt bad for her on Sunday because she tried to keep up with how busy it was but everyone still ate good.

Great hotel and staff. As I arrived at around 12pm, my room wasn't ready as such. They stored my baggage and I went off to watch the baseball. My room was ready when I got back. The pool area is great along with the gym. Breakfast was good, great selection without going over the top & the cinnamon scrolls are something you must get. Easy to walk to & from downtown + surrounds. Will book this hotel in the future when I am next in town.

The rooms were clean but there was mold in the showers and I had to beg for dry towels. The front staff was great. The view was entertaining because we looked at all the druggies in the streets but I never felt unsafe.

The best stay at a hotel I have experienced, with my family in a long time. The employees here, top notch. So friendly and very helpful. Whatever we needed or questions we had they were on top of it. The room, actually looked like the pictures. Clean, roomy and everything worked properly and didn't look beat down. We got our room cleaned while out and looked great to return too. Love this place, highly recommend.

Hotel is nice and new. Front desk very friendly and helpful. Nice room, awesome bed and had all the amenities needed. Only bad experince after the second day we notice some tiny ants on the bathroom floor and some crickets too. Did not hurt anyone but they werent pleasant. Overall ok

This was the dirtiest holiday Inn express I’ve ever stayed in. The floors and area behind the beds were so dirty. There were craft beads and crumbs, including whole corn nuts, on the floors from people who had previously stayed. The bathrooms had hairs on the floor and the baseboards were dirty. We had to wear slippers the entire time because the floors were gross. The fridge kept leaking onto the tile floor and carpet and my we almost slipped. Housekeeping forgot to give us new towels and take out our trash, which was pretty annoying. I ended up getting really sick during our stay so I just didn’t even have the energy to complain to the front desk. We can usually count on Holiday Inn Express and I was really disappointed by this let down.

The daily breakfast was done very well, eggs or omelets, bacon or sausage, breads, muffins, fresh fruit, cereal, milk and juices. The staff was very professional and friendly. My room was well prepared and housekeeping was very considerate and efficient. The carpet in my room was FILTHY! It needs a good shampooing or replacement. I took off my socks and shoes, walked around in my room for a couple hours and the soles of my feet were black from the dirt in the carpet. Three times in three days I took a shower and brought black footprints into the shower from the CARPET!

No apology, no explanation, no offer of reimbursement or compensation. This completely ruined our trip. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

What I missed is the safety box, my room does not have it and I assume is not part of options provided by hotel, my bad, I did not verify when I selected it. In summary I do recommend this hotel, it looks in Avery week shape and personnel is very kind.

The TV (cable service) was not working. When I called the front desk, I was told they were working on it. The next night TV was still not working. Third night was after to move to another room, it was the last night there so it wasn’t worth it to pack and move to another room. It would’ve been nice to come to the room and be able to relax and watch movie or Netflix after a long day. Went to the front desk and ask if they could do something for me they offer a 20% discount on the whole stay, but I have not been able to verify if I get the discount or not since I booked through Hotels.com.

I booked this hotel last minute- as we were coming into town for a concert at the Arizona Financial Theater. We stayed for the weekend. We really enjoyed our stay. Brad at the front desk was exceptionally helpful and nice. We were glad to see him throughout our stay. The breakfast offered had some items you dont find elsewhere- soy milk, greek yogurt, and a coffee machine that grinds per cup! The room was clean and beds were very comfortable. We appreciated the free, close parking and the convenient proximity to our venue and also the freeways to get anywhere we wanted to go. We will definitely choose this hotel in the future!

My check in was a bit disappointing. Upon check in I asked the front desk agent if I could please get my 2 rooms as close as possible since I was traveling with teenagers. He immediately said “No” that he wouldn’t be able to do that for us. I thought that was strange, I understand if the hotel is at full occupancy (i myself work in the hospitality industry for 17 yrs) I did check in pretty early at 3pm. And parking lot was completely empty I’m sure a bit of an effort would have gone a long way. We ended up getting 1 room on the first floor and the other room in the second floor. Once we settle in our rooms we noticed most of the rooms on the first floor were empty since the maintenance man had multiple room doors open. Very disappointing and uncomfortable since I had to be checking on my teenagers on a different floor just to make sure they were ok and safe.

Holiday Inn Express is a nice, comfortable hotel to the west of Downtown Phoenix and adjacent to government office buildings. However, it is somewhat isolated from Downtown Phoenix attractions so be careful walking at night time.

Visited the area for a concert. Venue was within 15 mins. walking distance. So I didn't have all the extra hassle that goes along with the parking garage and fees.

excellent hotel- room, breakfast, customer service-hotel itself is 10 out of 10..only 1 mile away from all the hotels/restaurants downtown BUT the area it's in is NOT walkable. Lots of shady houses on one side and homeless people . We only used uber/lyft to get around

This was a great place for one night stay. The pool was incredibly warm for January and the spa. The breakfast was one of the best free hotel breakfasts I have seen. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, but the sheets were not the cleanest I have ever seen (still good enough for me to feel comfortable sleeping, but clearly on the older side with some stains that did not come out in the wash). Shower was great with good pressure and hot water. Overall, a superb stay.

Pros: clean, comfortable bed, TV w/ Google Chromecast, fridge, quiet Cons: Not the prettiest area, limited (but free) ungated on-site parking lot, and buffet breakfast was probably one of the worst I’ve had and with limited options (frozen pastry, burnt omelettes, potatoes were akin to a chopped up MDF board, orange juice was heavily watered down, etc.), no toiletries in the room.

The front desk staff member at check in (930pm check in, female staff member) was excellent. Friendly and inviting. Hotel was a good value with a nice breakfast. Shower wasn't fully cleaned , other than that great stay!

I had asked for a first-floor room and they accommodated me. Check in was wonderful, very easy. The room was immaculate; the bedding was superb. Our room faced the street and was quiet. Our favorite item was the coffee machine in the lobby; it freshly ground and brewed our coffee. We went for a class for the company I work for, and the room we used was wonderful and clean. We didn't use the pool or sit in the lobby, but both looked great. We also jetted out before the breakfast, but if it was anything like the rest of the hotel, I am sure it was great. Another fun fact is that it was only 20 mins away from the new Buccees!

Room was nice, price was great, breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Some of the carpets around the elevators could use a cleaning as well as inside the elevators but overall it was a nice stay. I give it a 7 out of 10
