Confort Arenal

The grounds were beautiful, we loved the pool and the view of the volcano. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The staff was helpful and knd. We enjoyed the breakfast.

This was a great quiet property. The swimming pool was great. It is away from the downtown but that wasn’t an issue. That is what made it super quiet. The receptionist lady was so sweet, breakfast was great and the air conditioner worked great. The only issue I had was they did not have an ice machine. So I picked some up at the local grocery store and put some in the little freezer. I would stay here again.

Best location, best view to volcano. Nice garden with hanging bridges, a lot of animals and fruits trees, flowers. Best for the cost. I will back there again.

The people managing this property are very nice, eager to help. Breakfast was good,served hot at your table. It had fresh fruits, toasted bread with jam, gallo pinto, fried plantain and a slice of tomatoes. Sometimes there was Avacado and cheese too. I saw scrambled eggs too. Not sure if any other non vegetarian items were there. Hotel has pool with beautiful views of volcano and also a small hanging bridge. But the room we stayed in (villa) had issues. When we checked in, I noticed water on the kitchen counter and a pot next to it with some water in it. I didn’t paid attention and cleaned the water and put the pot away and instead out my stuff there. And left for dinner. Later when we came back, I realized that Kitchen roof was leaking a bit that side and there was water all over my stuff. Luckily everything was in ziplock so no loss. But a heads up at check in Or a note would have been nice. Kitchen and bathroom were decent size so I would not have used that space if I knew. Stove in kitchen looked ancient so I didn’t even attempt to use it. There was blender and microwave and full size fridge that we used. Another issue was that bathroom has no hooks, not even to hang your hand towel. Room has only one power outlet that I could see. So mostly we used outlets in kitchen to charge phones. there was no place to hang towels to dry so you have to call them to get replacements. No iron or hairdryer in the room. location of the hotel is very good but rooms need updating.

The whole stay was amazing. The views like no other, great hospitality and food. Could not recommend this hotel any more. Made our time in Fortuna so pleasant as a family of four. The views to the volcano are unreal. The villa was beautiful, the parking spacious and secure etc. We did not want to leave.

This is a beautiful spot for the price. I stayed in the Villa and loved the convenience of having a kitchen with the extra space to store my son's wheelchair. Staff are all very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was their typical meals of eggs, gallo pinto (rice & beans), and grilled plantains with toast. They also serve a nice plate of fresh fruits with breakfast. Wifi was good in our room, and the view of the volcano from our window was absolutely stunning. Landscaping is very lush and well maintained and lovely to walk around in. I saw a lot of hummingbirds and other exotic birds on the property every morning. It is located very near the hot springs (less than a mile), Arenal volcano, and Mystic waterfall park are less then 2 miles away. Plenty of restaurants and small open diners (a.k.a. 'sodas') nearby, including coffee shops, markets, liquor stores, & souvenir shops. I would definitely stay here again.

Very accomodating staff. Beautiful grounds. Lovely swimming pool. Staff really went above and beyond to make are stay wonderful. I highly recommend Confort Arenal.

This property was good for the price. You got a beautiful vieuw of the Arenal volcano. They got a pool, beautiful nature, they even got a hanging bridge. Free breakfast was good. The room had airconditioning and was very welcoming. Although the room was not very sealed we got lizard and worms that came in our room. That was a bit disturbing but other than that it was a good stay for our 1 night stay.

We had an okay stay. It was convenient and comfortable enough for a couple nights. There is no housekeeping unless you ask.

This place does not do house keeping unless you remind them . This explained the 5 inch cockroach in my room

Horrible.Très sale, la porte de la cuisine qui donne à l'extérieur a un jeu de 3cm, de même que la porte principal. SI vous aimez les araignées et les cafards vous êtes servis, nous avons eu les deux. Fuite du plafond dans la cuisine, l'eau s'écoule sur les cables électriques de la cafetière et autres appareils électroménagers. La douche est tellement investée de cadavres d'insectes qu'il n'est pas possible de prendre sa douche. Impossible de dormir du fait des matelas dans un piteux état. Nous avions réservé pour 3 nuits, nos deux enfants étant très choqués, nous avons dû faire une sortie anticipée dès la première nuit. L'hôtel n'étant tellement pas agréable qu'ils ne souhaitent pas rembourser les deux dernières nuits. Zero service, zéro compréhension, horrible, à éviter.

it was very clean property i loved it the interior inside the room and outside it was very clean and professional staff, room, bathrooms was very clean bed sheet, bed was comfortable, property is very beautiful and clean, from room balcony amazing view, breakfast was amezing tasty rice and beans as i am vegetarian had good choice of breakfast staff was very friendly, pool was clean and beautifully decorated. will go there again. very close to places.

Staff were very friendly but due to some language barriers communicating some dissatisfaction wasn't possible. Rooms were somewhat clean but there was some kind of dust nest in the light fixture about one of the beds. Also was not advised of construction going on next to our room so it would wake us up at 7am. Kitchenette is not fully equipped so come prepared or don't expect to use it fully. Breakfast was ok and not made to order like it says. Location was good and close to town and most attractions.

La Fortuna is a really nice city to visit and it’s a nice area. My stay at Confort Arenal was Not the worst but it was Not the best or most comfortable experience either. I was struggling to go to sleep at night with their air condition unit NOT working properly at ALL. Wi-Fi was Not working either. Every time I needed to open and close the main front door of our room to exit or enter room, I was getting attacked by wasps and mosquitoes right outside the door. A huge flying bug got through the window of the shower so that was scary and bothersome to me. The breakfast staff employees were nice and courteous but the main staff employee from the front desk, he and I had a language barrier difference that was very difficult to to communicate and understand eachother as I speak English as my native language and he only spoke in Spanish and No English at All.

It has a beautiful pool area rhat is well maintained. The breakfast in the morning is filling. The staff was willing to make accommodations for my daughter's food allergies.

Our stay at Confort Arenal was very pleasant. It is on a beautiful property at the base of the volcano which we could see right out our window. The staff was very helpful and friendly and took care of our needs. Room was clean and comfortable. Included a good and generous breakfast served individually (not a buffet). The facility grounds are beautiful and it was very quiet. A bit out of town from La Fortuna, which we enjoyed because it was peaceful, but convenient to drive into town when needed. Very near all the sites to enjoy.

Very accommodating staff

The place was nice, but when I arrived they checked me in, and said it was ready. I went to my room, to find the cleaning lady clueless as to why i was sent over. Aside from that, someone besides the cleaning lady was parked in my space, which was also a little annoying. I went back to the office, and they offered me another room, which was nice.

Despite a mixup of pictures and room descriptions the manager of the hotel honored the reservation. We were able to sort this out so others would not have the problem. The view is outstanding and the staff really wants your visit to be enjoyable.

We were so grateful because the front desk staff was responsive with our request when we had late check-in after 9pm. The bedroom was ok but a bit outdated in our opinion, but it’s very close to some good restaurants in the area.

Staff are so warmhearted and helpful.Our car cannot be started due to running of battery.Staff Antony tried to find a mechanic for us even we cannot speak Spanish. Luckly , Daniel from Swissland and Dannis from Costa Rica lent us a big hand. They not only provided the cable and tools but also worked together to boost my car .They were travelling with family and also living here. We did not know each other previously. This beautiful place is full of nice people with the warm hearts.

Personalen och fin utsikt, bra läge utanför la Fortuna

Es un lugar rústico y sencillo, pero muy cómodo. Rodeado de vegetación. Solo llegar al cuarto con las maletas resultó un poco difícil, ya que es sobre tierra y piedritas, y las ruedas se atoraban. Hay que transportarse en taxi, porque está un poco retirado del pueblo. El personal tiene un trato excelente que ya hace sentir como en casa, sobre todo Hazel, quien nos atendió súper amable y alegre los días que estuvimos.

Confort Arenal was beautiful! The property has an amazing view of the Arenal Volcano. Staff is friendly. The traditional Costa Rican breakfast is delicious and served on a patio with a view of a small tropical jungle full of monkeys who are out eating between 6am and 8am. There are also many interesting birds on the property including turkeys and crested guan. The rooms are minimalist, but comfortable. Warm shower. Great lunch or dinner and ice cream across the street at Soda la Palma. Many activities nearby. Awesome food options and nightlife in Fortuna.

Un super rapport qualité/prix avec une vue incroyable sur le volcan. Très belle piscine, petit déjeuner copieux et extrêmement bien situé à côté du volcan, cascade et parcs. Le personnel adorable avec le sourire. Je recommande ++++ vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés

If i could give confort Arenal 1000 out of ten i would. Staff was the friendliest and their treatment of guests is very personal. The breakfast was delicious. There were so many plants and facilities are well kept. You felt in an nature oasis. Already planning our next visit with the whole family. The rooms are so spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was gorgeous with a perfect view of the volcanoe. Felt like home! Thank you Geysel and all staff for the amazing service and stay.
