The house was perfect. My friend and I stayed here for a long weekend away to celebrate her birthday. The house was beautifully decorated, comfortable, clean and peaceful. Having the double outside decks was great for sitting and enjoying the view of the small lake outside. The beds were super comfortable and the house had everything we needed. The owners were great about sending recommendations of things to do in the area and making us feel at home. They were even very accommodating when I needed to add a day to my trip unexpectedly. All told it was a great visit and we would definitely stay here again.

Great communication with the host and a very clean place. We didn’t realize that it was an attached house so there wasn’t much privacy on the deck, and the furniture out there was pretty beat up. However it was very quiet and a residential neighborhood near the highway.

Exactly what we needed. Our trip was only my girlfriend, dog, and I, and specifically for the Bourbon Trail and the Lakehouse was perfect. Very clean and quiet and more than enough space for us. Also in a convenient location with a nice overlook of the lake to enjoy a coffee or stiff whiskey. Would definitely stay again if we're back in the area.

We travelled to spend Thanksgiving with family. The location of the property was excellent, it was well furnished, well kept and the beds were excellent--that is actually a little unusual in our experience. It was also very easy to get in touch with the owner who also responded promptly. Finding a pet friendly property was what made this trip possible.

This little house was nestled in a quiet neighborhood and overlooked a pretty little lake. The place was spotless and had all amenities we needed for the weekend. The bed was amazingly comfy and large. We were close to restaurants (we ate at Sonny's and got our free bottle of barbecue sauce!) and groceries which was great. The teip down to Lexington was easy and convenient. Our only small critique is the landing and kitchen rugs kept teipping us so we moved them fir our stay. Id recommend this lake house to anyone.

Since this was rated a "10 exceptional", we had high expectations. Needs some love...kitchen rug is a tripping hazard, posted as a non smoking property, but there was a definite old smoke smell, could be in the old stairs carpet or the walls. UpUpdatedpaint

The apartment was just as the pictures. The kitchen floor was really dirty (we had ants in the kitchen) and the lake was covered in thick green algae. Otherwise, it was just what I was looking for - relaxing great location on the bourbon trail.
