City Express Plus by Marriott Merida

Spacious room, very clean. Rooftop swimming pool has a great view over the city. Staff is very helpful. Breakfust is okay, could have been better.

Tiene un serio problema con la insonorización de las habitaciones. La piscina tenía el agua turbia y el fondo y paredes sucias. Creo que falta supervisión de los detalles. Por lo demás muy buena disposición de parte del personal

I have been at Marriott properties for many years. This one does not live up to Marriott standards. On top of all this. They have a roof top bar by the pool. I went up there two times and more than half of the time there was no one to serve you anything.

We loved staying at this hotel. Staff are attentive and all seem to go above and beyond. Everyone is friendly and no real issues arose during our stay. The rooms are modern and clean. The rooftop pool and bar are a great addition to a city centre hotel. There's also great places to eat and entertainment right by the front door. Easy commute to Cancun via the ADO bus service that stops directly at the hotel.

No funciona el aire acondicionado en áreas comunes , falta mantenimiento en general. Lo que hace aceptable este hotel es el Personal , excelente personal .

Ice machine did not work! Wasnt adviced that in order to use shuttle one needs to sign up ahead of time.

El hotel muy bien ubicado m. Lo que es increíble y para no volver, es que a pesar de que estábamos a 45 grados centígrados, apegaban el aire acondicionado de elevadores y pasillos y recepción ! Entrar al elevador era como entrar al infierno. Una vergüenza hacerle eso a tus huéspedes. Los pobres empleados no saben ni que decir. No volvería.

very nice hotel , upon entering the room i notice the air conditioning was turned off being in MERIDA where temperatures are super hot this is not ok after turning the ac on the room never got cold for the 3 days stay some smell in the room and dirty floor with hair and particles had to tell the room keeper to clean the floor after the first few minutes after arrival, front desk was very helpful and very nice also the continental breakfast was very nice not going to stay there again do to the air condition and cleaness .

The shower head was full of mineral buildup. The rooms have no natural air. The staff doesn't know English. And there was an outdoor party with noise until 2 am, we called the reception to call the police and they did nothing. And the breakfast included is not really breakfast as it only includes cold breakfast and not warm which is charged extra.

Estuvimos hospedados 5 días , y ni un día tuvimos toallas completas . Todos los días teníamos que llamar para pedir toallas y tapetes y nos decían que no llegaba la lavandería. muyyyy incómodo . Nunca me había pasado. Le falta mucha limpieza a los baños. Cómo que tienen poco personal y las regaderas dejan mucho que desear en limpieza .

Le falta mantenimiento porque las camas y todo esta excelente solo las paredes algo sucias y el baño también

La gente de recepción no tiene buena actitud. La limpieza de la alberca es fatal, muy sucia, llena de moho y verdin. La limpieza de la habitación excelente

Un poco decepcionante la verdad :( La ubicación del hotel está bien, y tiene todo lo que necesitas, pero...Internet me funcionó bien. A mi llegada, el cuarto no estaba bien limpio (suciedad en el escritorio, marcas de vasos..). Me envié un bulto al hotel, pero en recepción dijeron que yo no estaba hospedado y no lo recogieron :/

La regadera estaba con moho en alguna de las esquinas, no tenían aire acondicionado en el elevador

The staff was warm and helpful. I found the property and the room in need of some paint and a good cleaning. Floor was kind of icky. Looking at the door & tables, I could see fingerprints from previous users. Not to the level of clean I would expect from this type of hotel. The layout of the room, with the blackout shades & comfy bed was great. Overall, I would stay again but lower your expectations. It’s not 5 star.

Los cuartos muy pequeños

Modern hotel. The beds are very comfortable. The location is great. Be aware that the bathroom doors are glass AND see-thru. Not good for privacy.

No refrigerator or coffee machine in the room!

La única queja es que no hay cajones ni clóset para guardar la ropa y eso es muy incómodo si vas de vacaciones

Tiny rooms, strange glass doors on bathroom which are see through and don\'t have a latch, no mini fridge, included "breakfast" is a joke so expect to have to find that elsewhere. Internet was fairly reliable apart from usual login nonsense and A/C worked well.

Two things were off-putting: a) The shower floor gets slippery when showering and the hotel did not provide non slip mat, treads or any safety accessory or feature. b) The sun in the Merida region rises rather early and it is generally very intense. Unfortunately, the room does not have curtains that completely block the sunlight and it is difficult to get up late.

Stayed 5 days in this hotel in January 2026. This is my first stay in this hotel and this is my honest review. I read many reviews before booking. Overall I am happy that I chose to stay here. The pluses: Central location, friendly staff, good air conditioning, large rooms. An iron and hair dryer is also available. The free breakfast is not that great but not bad. There is an issue with hot water. You need to keep the hot water tap open for a long time to get hot water. I will stay in this hotel again.

Every single hotel staff member was extremely accommodating. They received packages for us, helped us set the room up with a crib and went above and beyond to provide free shuttle service. We really enjoyed our stay and we are so thankful for their compassion.

Primeramente no había ac la entrada ni en el lobby, el recibimiento en la recepción todo muy bien, el único problema fue al día siguiente cuando fuimos mi familia y yo al desayuno , las personas encargadas del comedor , no son amables en lo absoluto, la razón por la que hice la reservación por medio de Expedia fue porque la página de Marriott estaba congestionada . La forma como nos tratófue un poco muy ruda, lo último que necesito cuando esto descansando n vacaciones es que algún imbecil o unos imbeciles porque su supervisor fue el que lo mandó hacia nosotros ,venga y me diga que no puedo servirme de el desayuno porque esa parte no estaba incluida en la reservación, como si no pudiera solventar el costo, lo que hice fue ir a otro hotel (holiday in express y nos quedamos 4 noches adicionales , definitivamente

This hotel was perfect right from getting off the ado bus right there. Was checked in and on rooftop pool in 5 minutes. Everyone organized, pleasant and very friendly and helpful. Look forward to returning

Hotel was clean and the area was nice and walkable. The service was awful. Staff weren’t aware about the promotions the hotel had, and took forever to get items such as towels for the pool. They were very weird about the breakfast items. The hotel staff generally felt poorly trained and understaffed. I would not stay here again.

Me hospedé para un trámite de visa. Me llevaron de manera gratuita a el consultado y CAS, tienes que programar ambos viajes con anticipación, pude imprimir algunos documentos que me faltaban, el personal siempre fué accesible, la habitación la limpian diario, volvería a el mismo hotel sin problema.

En el check in me cobraron mi reserva de nuevo y tuve reclamar para mi devolución por error del recepcionista que no estuvo atento a la hora de mi llegada, me hicieron la devolución pero ahora tendré que esperar a recuperar mi dinero de 15 a 45 días , Felicitaciones a Simón!!!

A nuestra llegada el recepcionista no, nos explico que para subir al elevador, es necesario escanear la llave, un huésped nos explico. La llave no estaba activada, regresamos a recepción para que se active y al momento de abrir la hab. estaba ocupada, por lo que, nos regresamos a la recepción, evidentemente con una queja mayor, ya que, llevamos 2 niños con nosotros y fue muy desagradable que nos hayan dado una habitación ocupada. Se pidió hablar con el supervisor en turno y, el recepcionista nos comento que no estaba y me dijo que era imposible que estuviera ocupada. Le dije que, en la habitación había maletas, las camas desechas, zapatos tirados en el piso y que por favor nos diera otra habitación porque teníamos niños que ya estaban cansados y querían descansar. Nos dio la hab. 515 y ya subimos a la habitación. En ningún momento se acerco el supervisor a hablar con nosotros. Nos retiramos a comer fuera del hotel y a nuestro regreso el mismo recepcionista se acerco con nosotros y nos pidió unas disculpa, nos brindo el desayuno completo para el día siguiente a lo que se le pregunto cual era el desayuno completo y nos menciono que incluía las dos barras. Bajamos al desayuno nos pidieron el núm. de hab., se las brindamos y las meseras nos dijeron que de la barra caliente solamente podíamos agarrar (huevo) y la barra fría. A lo que no era lo que se había acordado con el recepcionista. Para haber sido nuestra primera vez en su hotel fue una experiencia desagradable.

Súper bien ubicado, está en el interior Plaza Paseo 60, existe un patio en planta baja con tiendas y varios restaurantes y se encuentra en zona segura. Su ubicación facilita el acceso a varios destinos en corto tiempo

Great location just off Paseo Montejo. Rooms very clean and staff is friendly. Great courtyard with several restaurants, grub, and brewery. Live music in the evenings. Shuttle service and double decker city tour bus on site. Enjoyed our week stent in Merida.

Excelente ubicación para descansar o turistear en Mérida, la conveniencia de estar dentro de un centro gastronómico permite que se pueda comer en diferentes restaurantes sólo bajando del hotel. El personal muy atento y amable.

Location is great. The general area is noisy at night, however. There is a club nearby that plays very loud music late at night. Staff were helpful when we needed anything. Some of the towels need to be replaced.

Great place . The ADO terminal at “calle60 Paseo” is right next to this hotel , which was very convenient for us coming from Playa del Carmen. It has great restaurants around . The hotel has a modern look, it’s very clean and it feels very safe . Nice atmosphere at night with lovely live music . We will definitely come back to this place in the future .

Un lugar muy bien ubicado, limpio y agradable entorno. A una cuadra del paseo Montejo, lo cual es espectacular. Me gustó.

Good find! Clean, tidy & modern. It’s in a great location, just above the Paseo 60 ADO bus stop. My only suggestion would be a toaster at breakfast. But overall very good and would definitely recommend!

El desayuno es terrible, solo son productos frios. Dos tipos de fruta, jamon, queso, pan y cafe. Nada mas, lo demas es pago

Las habitaciones sencillas pero cómodas. Les faltan clósets. Pésimo servicio de desayuno, no re abastecían efectivamente lo que se iba terminando, si ofrecen desayuno para sus huéspedes deben estar atentos a que nunca falte nada en el servicio, pero considero que esto es porque el personal en cocina es muy poco para la cantidad de gente que se hospeda en estas fechas en el hotel.

Nos gusto la ubicación, cerca de Paseo Montejo, los desayunos, no están buenos solo fruta batida, el café más o menos no hay buen pan. Fuimos al Merci diario.

Hotel location is great. The facilities are good. The Staff was polite but did not know how to handle problems with our room reservation and made us wait in the lobby for about 30 minutes. So we had to ask for the intervention of the hotel manager to help us to get the room. The complementary continental breakfast buffet is fine but finishes at 9:00 in weekdays and the items are limited. There is not decaf coffe.

Muy mal el servicio del desayuno incluido, solo se tiene derecho a tomar de la barra fría y pero lo peor es el horario, SOLO DE 6 A 9 se la mañana, por tal motivo mi familia nunca lo pudo tomar.
