Great location and layout of the property. It was clean and tidy on our arrival, also well equipped for our holiday. It was setup (pet-friendly wise) for our travelling dog. Livingroom A/C not functioning properly. Was repaired promptly by office management. Late checkout would have been good but the late fee was over the top. We exited before 10am. We would stay there again as beach access was spot-on.

* 1BR House, 2BR Cabin, outdoor kitchen and eating area were exactly as advertised;* Bedrooms, bathrooms, linen were all clean and comfortable;* Kitchen cupboards and drawers - hard to stay on top of in this area, evidence of the small bush cockroaches "visiting", easily dealt with by dumping everything we needed into dishwasher;* Perfect location with 50 metre walk to beach, and 50 metre walk to local cafe, small shops;* We would definitely stay again.

Great location and proximity to beach. Loved the property layout for two families with the additional outdoor kitchen which was such a hit with our family. Unfortunately the premises had some serious concerns. Cleaning was a horror story which we observed on day one when my daughter’s dust allergy immediately kicked into overdrive. I have never experienced a situation quite like it. Beneath the beds was a thick layer of dust (not exaggerating) which points to the cleaning team and lack of inspection by the management team. I must acknowledge the responsiveness of the office who assisted with getting in first one cleaner who did half a job and then another cleaner who did a great job. The shower in the studio had a leak which flooded the floor and in the end we couldn’t use it. Once they get the cleaning and some repairs done the premises will offer a lovely stay. The office offered a late checkout as a result of the cleaning issues which we were unable to take advantage of due to prior arrangements.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here with our adult daughter. Fantastic layout if the premises was better than any where else we had stayed. Well stocked kitchen and outdoor kitchen was a great touch. Very comfortable beds and view to the beach was a wonderful bonus. Highly recommend this property and will look forward to a return visit. Thank you to our hosts for living up to all advertised expectations.

We had an enjoyable time at Fingal Bay. The property is in a fabulous location only 50m from the sand, and the booking / check-in was very smooth. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the cleanliness and maintenance of the property (blocked overflowing gutters in the covered sitting area, BBQ could not be made to work, water leaked into the laundry area and we observed 3-4 cockroaches during our stay). Nothing some more diligent pest control and maintenance couldn't address so hope it is fixed for future guests as really is a lovely spot.

Loved the separate dwellings that allowed us some time away from the kids :-) The only negative was that the fry pans probably are past their use by date and need replacing (think I recall seeing that in another guest's comments before our stay). Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd time at Fingal bay beach house over the New Year period and it was amazing with both our elderly mothers who occupied the studio and my husband and I occupied the main house, we spent majority of our mornings and afternoons either out in the breezeway or on the front deck watching the beautiful waves roll in. This has to be one of the best holiday rentals we have stayed in at Port Stephens for functionality and position, close to the water for that amazing beach walk, places to eat, grab a cold afternoon beverage or just a quick drive into shoal bay for some of the most beautiful Greek food at Atmos with a sneaky gelato at the jetty gelato. Highly recommend booking this place won’t disappoint. I have given a 3 star for cleanliness due to our arrival of having to clean under the dinning table/lounge with food still visible and clean the toilet from previous tenants that had been missed by cleaners but it was the only downfall of our holiday.

The 2 bedroom unit did not lock which meant anything of value had to be stored elsewhere. One of the hair dryers was not working. It would be helpful to provide coffee pods for the coffee machine.

Check in was seamless. Kitchen could use salt and pepper together with glad wrap. Unfortunately there were ants in the property, particularly the kitchen. Black mould found in the second bathroom prompted us to depart early. There was also a broken toilet seat in the studio. The lounge in the main house needs replacing as you sink very deeply when you sit on it…not comfortable at all. Overall we were disappointed.

Fantastic location with views of the beach and close to cafe and beach walks. Great fenced yard for our dog to enjoy. Comfortable beds and couches. Bathrooms clean and modern. Kitchen had everything we needed. Unusual set up with 2 separate buildings but it wasn't a problem. Very relaxing stay.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay here with our adult daughter. Fantastic layout if the premises was better than any where else we had stayed. Check in was seamless. Kitchen could use salt and pepper together with glad wrap. Unfortunately there were ants in the property, particularly the kitchen. Black mould found in the second bathroom prompted us to depart early. There was also a broken toilet seat in the studio. The lounge in the main house needs replacing as you sink very deeply when you sit on it…not comfortable at all. Overall we were disappointed.

Great location and layout of the property. It was clean and tidy on our arrival, also well equipped for our holiday. It was setup (pet-friendly wise) for our travelling dog. Livingroom A/C not functioning properly. Was repaired promptly by office management. Late checkout would have been good but the late fee was over the top. We exited before 10am. We would stay there again as beach access was spot-on.

We had an enjoyable time at Fingal Bay. The property is in a fabulous location only 50m from the sand, and the booking / check-in was very smooth. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the cleanliness and maintenance of the property (blocked overflowing gutters in the covered sitting area, BBQ could not be made to work, water leaked into the laundry area and we observed 3-4 cockroaches during our stay). Nothing some more diligent pest control and maintenance couldn't address so hope it is fixed for future guests as really is a lovely spot.
We had an enjoyable time at Fingal Bay. The property is in a fabulous location only 50m from the sand, and the booking / check-in was very smooth. We stayed for my mums 60th birthdayUnfortunately on the first night after purchasing 270 worth of food, we discovered that both the oven and bbq weren’t in working order. I tried to contact the host. However there was no response. The next morning I called the port Steven’s office and was told a man named Aaron which I assume is a maintenance worker was coming to have a look. However he never came. Due to poor weather, our small children and the fact that the fridge was full of food we were unable to go out for meals which made things particularly difficult. Great location. House is run down, dusty and poorly maintained and poorly managed.

Fantastic location with views of the beach and close to cafe and beach walks. Great fenced yard for our dog to enjoy. Comfortable beds and couches. Bathrooms clean and modern. Kitchen had everything we needed. Unusual set up with 2 separate buildings but it wasn't a problem. Very relaxing stay.

Excellent quantity of glasses. I think some additional spare toilet paper considering 6 adults for 5 days could have been provided. Minor point though. Location and facilities were excellent and all of us thoroughly enjoyed the location and proximity of the beach.

Absolutely amazing location. Main house was really beautiful with a stunning balcony looking out to the ocean. The listing was not clear enough around the layout of the two houses. We stayed with young kids and it was challenging. A photo of the property layout and a clear depiction of how separate they are would have been helpful. The second house with the two bedrooms had a very damp smell that we could not get rid of with open windows and fans on.

The house was very clean, the kitchen adequately stocked, the yard was pet secure, the layout of the house is great for a family (unless the children are very young), the proximity to the beach is fantastic, at times there was quite a bit of traffic noise because the house is located on a main access road to the beach. All in all we would stay there again.
