It was 40c on the afternoon we arrived, and it was fantastic to find that the aircon was on and the house cool inside. It is a beautiful location, far away from everything, and had everything we needed to feel at home.

A beautiful cottage in an idyllic setting. Just a short drive from Canowindra but into sheep and pasture country, away from people and noise. Janey and Peter are wonderful hosts and the cottage is well-equipped for a short (or longer) stay. Comfy bed, well-equipped kitchen, large TV with comfortable lounge seating. Beautiful surroundings and sunsets to savour. Highly recommended.

We loved our two night stay at Chaffcutters Cottage. Janey and Pete were great hosts. Excellent communication. The cottage was quaint and had everything we needed. Canowindra was just a short drive away. A very peaceful and relaxing stay. We will be back on our next road trip north.

The area's natural beauty can be seen at Nangar National Park and Conimbla National Park, while Canowindra Historical Society Museum and Canowindra Age of Fishes Museum are cultural highlights. Cowra Japanese Garden and Lachlan Valley Railway Heritage Centre are also worth visiting. Practice your golf swing on a nearby course, or enjoy other activities in the great outdoors, such as hiking/biking trails in the area.
