We want to book this place for next year...I believe that says it all.

Loved my time on the lake! The neighbors were great and so was the cabin.

I wasn’t pleased to arrive after many delays with flights and car rental to find that I couldn’t manage the lockbox, either one. Though I got a quick response when I called the number provided, there was an 11/2 wait to get into the property. I texted with someone several times, and it was finally suggested that perhaps the codes were reversed. Ultimately, they were, and after numerous tries, I finally did get in. It wasn’t easily managed though. Even though I was assured that someone was on their way to help me, they never arrived. I bought a few groceries on the way in so that I could heat up something after a long, long day. There was no microwave, and no directions on how to use the gas stove. I couldn’t get it to light. Thankfully, I had some crackers that I had bought in the airport! I bought creamer for coffee in the morning, because all VRBO‘s supply some kind of coffee or a coffee maker. Yes, there was a coffee maker, but no coffee. The woodstove was disconnected, and the thermostat didn’t work so there was no heat. It was a rainy, cold night. I tried to make the best of things by having a hot bath in the beautiful clawfoot bathtub, but the hot water only lasted for 10 minutes which translates to 4 inches of warm water in the tub. I am not happy, and no refunds have been offered to me, even after communicating my displeasure to the agency.

Charming cottage in a beautiful location. We loved the warmth of the decor and furniture. Very comfortable, beautiful views, clean, and secure. Would highly recommend this property to friends and family (and anyone really looking for a peaceful tiny retreat space). If you have an appreciation for fine craftsmanship and history, you’ll love this cottage. The beautiful farmhouse sinks in the kitchen and bathroom - as well as the clawfoot bathtub with original fixtures are beautiful. The wood paneling and fishing elements reminded us of our childhood with grandparents. We awoke each morning to the sound of Loons on the lake- and a gentle breeze lulled us to sleep each night. We will be back!

The place is small, but mostly functional. There is a gas stove and oven which may need to be lit manually, and no microwave, so plan food accordingly. Also, there are plenty of dishes and pots, but no dishwasher, so using paper is more sanitary. The swimming area is small but adequate. If you have a boat, this place would be a dream. We brought our own paddle boards and enjoyed paddling out to other areas of the lake where we could jump in. But Sebago is a Boater's Lake and there are lots of boats. We were there midweek, so it was relatively quiet. I suspect if you fish, this would be a great place to dock fish as well. In addition, we rented kayaks from Sebago Kayak in Raymond (10 min away) and that was a lot of fun.
