Very nice boutique hotel in Fritz Farm area of Lexington, close to a variety of restaurants and shops. We traveled with our 2 small dogs, hotel is pet-friendly with a $50 fee. We would definitely stay again.

Very pleased with this location. Fun and safe surroundings, walkable to restaurants, most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! Very clean. Breakfast was amazing! Pet friendly with a designated area for dog to potty. Would definitely stay here again. You do pay a separate $50/night parking garage fee.

We arrived to our first room and realized there was not a mini fridge in our room so we got moved to a new room. Our new room had hairs all in the shower, floors were dirty, room was extremely hot, and sheets and rugs in the room felt very damp. During our stay housekeeping came in and only made one bed instead of both and didn’t tuck the sheets in. Around the hotel you could tell was very used and needed upgrading. The restaurant downstairs is very good and the complimentary fruit water each day was a great perk.

The location of this hotel was great! Plenty to do without having to drive all over. My room was OK. Kinda dusty, the table by the window, light fixtures by the bed and the mirror in the bathroom room. The room also had a musty smell. Never did get decent hot water and the water pressure was poor. Took showers without adding cold water to the hot water. Overall a solid 8/10

I’ve stayed here many times. The location is incredibly convenient as it’s in an upscale, outdoor shopping community. There is a decent bar/restaurant on-site as well. Some areas of the property could use an update as they are showing a lot of wear. The room cleanliness was a bit questionable (especially the bathroom). Upon checkout, I realized I had left several pieces of jewelry in the room. The staff was kind enough to find/hold them for me…BUT, in order to pick up my items, I had to return to the location on 5 different occasions as the person in charge of lost & found items was unavailable. In between these visits, I called on 8 different occasions to make sure my items were still there, and to confirm a pickup time. Each time I called or came by, I had to give all of my information regarding the stay & the items in question. The staff (especially a gentleman who I believe to be the front desk manager) were honestly pretty rude, and didn’t even try to hide their annoyance with me returning to get my items. It’s a shame because I have probably stayed at the property 50 times since it opened.

Beautiful decor, exceptionally friendly staff, clean and quiet. I did not sleep well, the mattress was not good (way too soft like an elephant had slept there). But we will likely stay thera again - I did mention to the gentleman at checkout this concern.

Great location. Nice modern hotel. Nice bar and there is a restaurant in hotel. Parking around side of hotel so in inclement weather it’s not ideal. It really is a great hotel but HUGE negative was AWFUL and water pressure. Took so long to wash hair. Room was pretty small. Not much space for luggage for two people. Right next to shopping area and dining options. Starbucks very close. Close to major highways.

Everything was excellent. The only downside is lack of privacy in the bathroom because of the barn door, which leaves nothing to imagination. It has side gaps, does not close fully and allows all unsavory sounds through. For a young couple, this is definitely a big downside.

We loved our room. Very spacious, the beds were really comfortable and most importantly it was very clean. We didn't partake of the breakfast bar other than coffee, but it looked great. The staff was very friendly, also a major plus. The location of the hotel was great. It was within walking distance to several places we went, and a very short drive to others. Overall, this was one of the better hotels where we've ever stayed.

Very clean and well maintained. Toiletries were great. Beautifully decorated place with personal touches. The only complaint was the noise. The A/C unit was super loud and woke me up every time it kicked on. The rooms didn't drown out the hallways noise well, so if you are a light sleeper, you may have trouble resting.

Cute boutique hotel in an excellent location with a nice bar and very friendly staff. I’ve stayed at this property many times over several years. The hotel could use some updates as rooms, hallways & elevators are visibly worn. The beds are not the most comfortable. I also didn’t have hot water for the majority of my stay, but likely just a fluke as it’s never been an issue during previous stays.

Great hotel, especially for the price! My only complaint was with our shower because it never got hot. It was very late and an inconvenient time for us to address it so we took cold showers and went to bed. We did tell the front desk at checkout. They apologized and would've gave us a discount but couldn't because we booked through Expedia.

The hotel is located in a great place. Lots of shopping and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and trendy. The bed was comfortable. The only thing that was terrible was the shower. Zero water pressure. It was one of the worst showers I have ever had. I love a 112236 shower to wake up and this was disappointing. Would probably stay somewhere else next time. Everything else was fantastic.

The only complaint i have is about the rooms air conditioning and venting system. The air conditioning stayed cold, but the room was so humid. Even with the air conditioning running. It was so sticky in the room that my glasses had a film on them after cleaning them.

Have stayed here before. Nice place and well located. Only had one issue with one person at the desk. C.G. we're his initials. Only spoke to him twice and it seemed like I was asking so much of him to help me. One time was for the $20 food/bar credit I wasn't given at check in. The other was about local info. Just acted like I was putting him out.

We were there for one night. The hotel was cozy and comfortable. The bartender,Ginger, was very friendly and conversational. We enjoyed chatting with her and they had my favorite beer on tap! Check- in was a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable. All the staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again.

My friends and I stayed for a girls night in Lexington. When we checked out, we were told that they could not give us a receipt but to wait about an hour and receive one from Expedia. When I asked the total bill, so that my friends and I could share the cost, I was told that it was confidential. Seriously, they would not tell me how much my credit card was charged and I was supposed to wait until I was an hour away from the hotel to maybe get a receipt, and also be unable to clear this up in person. This is really ridiculous and unacceptable Customer Service.

We were staying at this hotel with friends from out of town. They had never been to Lexington and we chose this hotel for its convenience to other restaurants and proximity to Keeneland. Our room was “ok” we booked through Expedia and was given a handicap accessible room. Water pressure was not good on the 4th floor, our friends had NO pressure on the 5th floor to shower. It took 15 minutes for the water to get hot (on the 4th floor) We had no special requests or issues other than the water, our friends were not so lucky. They were treated HORRIBLY by the front desk gentleman (if you can call him a gentleman) they were overcharged for their room, treated like a criminal when trying to find out the room rates they booked through Expedia vs what a 1 night extension would be. All in all their stay was a cluster f**k The restaurant staff was AMAZING and the food was very good. Highly recommend that this hotel train their hotel front desk staff to be as polite and accommodating as the restaurant staff!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times but this stay was the worst one. My husband and I checked in on Saturday evening at maybe 6:15. We visited our daughter as this was this purpose of the trip from Ohio. At 8:30 Sunday morning there was a knock at the door, we did not answer, I got out of bed at 10:00 to take a shower, not sure what happened but in the middle of the shower, the water started trickling. Ok, I overlooked that. Come Monday morning at 8:30 there was a knock at the door again, we didn’t answer, they proceed to open the door, but I had put on the night lock, so they were unable to get in. I was in disbelief. Check out time was 11:00. When I was checking out, I mentioned to my experiences with the clerk, who apologizes multiple times, and also stated that she will talk to the house manager (not sure what will become of it). Not sure what happened this trip, but is was definitely an eye opener. Hopefully they will get their act together.

Though the Origin Hotel is in a suburban area, rather than in downtown Lexington, we found it a wonderful option - it is no more than a 10-12 minute drive from downtown and also from the interesting Chevy Chase neighborhood near the Un. of Kentucky, where there are many restaurants. The Origin is in a large commercial development called the Summit at Fritz Farm, a walkable area of good restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is clean and feels very new and up to date.

I had high expectations because of the fact there are only 7 Origin Hotels in some pretty exclusive areas… the location of this hotel is fantastic being in the Fritz Farm complex which offers great dining and shopping.. but the hotel doesn’t offer any amenities like a coffee bar or any kind of breakfast other than the restaurant… the hotel is very clean and modern and beautiful but it’s just missing something from what it could be. The bar and restaurant was never crowded but the service there was pretty bad.. very slow to recognize your presence and even longer to get drinks etc. I really expected more.

The hotel is very nice. 5 stars, for location and decoration. Rooms were clean. We rented 2 rooms that joined that was awesome to keep the family together. No one came in to make our beds, take out the trash, give clean towels, etc for a 4 day stay. Disappointed with the “buffet style for breakfast”. I am not sure why, when this hotel has great breakfast options.

I did not like that on the weekend the bar/rest closed at 11pm and there were no other options open late nearby either. The hotel is lovely and the staff are very friendly and accommodating.
