In the information it said that it had a restaurant next door, it didnt, I felt I was going to a very run down area and even the taxi driver bringing me was surprised. That said it was a comfy night and the staff were very helpful

Friendly staff and the place was clean and tidy. The outside is a mess. Don't book breakfast, they don't actually offer it. It's fine for a night but I wouldn't want to stay much longer simply because of the lack of facilities.

It’s a hotel on a retail park so I didn’t expect too much. It was clean and comfortable, very basic. There was a lovely restaurant next door which was fine to take the kids in upstairs. There was a bar downstairs (beneath the restaurant) with a live DJ set (Saturday night) but we heard nothing from our room at front of the hotel, right next to the bar. Breakfast in a bag - as expected, porridge, water, fruit, croissant Family room £65 - happy with that

Hottle Review – Stayed with Family (2 Adults, 2 Children) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5) We stayed here as a family (2 adults and 2 children). The room was simple but neat and spacious enough for our needs. Cleanliness was good, and the location is convenient. Parking was reasonably priced at £5 per night, with occasional discounts available. The overall price was fair compared to similar accommodations — we paid around £90 for one night. Most of the staff were friendly, especially one lovely lady working the Sunday morning shift on June 22nd. I regret not getting her name, but I want to thank her and hope the hotel management appreciates her excellent service. Breakfast wasn't a buffet and had limited options, but given the price, it was acceptable and we were satisfied. There are a few downsides to be aware of: No lift No gym No air conditioning. This could be an issue in warm weather — the room only had a fan, which didn’t work well when temperatures rose. In summary: Room: Simple, clean, and spacious Cleanliness: Good Location: Convenient Price: Fair Staff: Mixed — some average, one exceptional Breakfast: Limited, but acceptable Facilities: Lacking A/C, lift, and gym Overall, a decent stay. The staff were efficient, welcoming and happy to help. We wanted a cheap & functional room and that’s what we got with a bonus of a fan. The parking was fantastic value - £5 for 24hrs and an easy walk to The Stadium of Light mainly along a pedestrian route. Definitely great value and superb staff.

As I pulled into the car park it dawned on me that I had stayed there before but it had been a Premier Inn back then. I am not sure why it was no longer part of that chain but it hadn't really changed. It was the same as it used to be. It was clean and tidy and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One word of warning: On their website they say they are in walking distance of the city centre amenities such as the Emporium Theatre (which is why we were there). We used Google maps to plan our walk and when it suggested it would take 50 mins we decided that was a little too much of a stroll to the theatre and back. Other than that this is a very good, value for money, hotel with lovely staff.

The hotel has recently been changed over from a migrant hotel back to a functional hotel. However very little has been done to bring it back to a functional accommodation. I would not take a UV light to either carpets or beds. It is clear the place needs a full refurb. When you arrive the first thing you notice is the derelict pub next to the entrance. The receptionist who would prefer to be somewhere else and has an attitude akin to the tired and unwelcoming property. The rooms are dirty, we did not take our shoes off in the room, as the carpet was covered in stains. The saving grace was the cold ridden receptionist in the morning who went out of her way to make breakfast pleasant. Will never stay again!

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a warm attitude, the member of staff on desk on arrival was very friendly with my 4 year old daughter whom is very talkative and loves meeting new people. Our room was to a good standard - clean, spacious and had everything we needed including an en-suite bathroom, a TV, toiletries and a fan which kept us cool during the night. We had breakfast in the morning which was up to a good standard and the member of staff on the desk at breakfast time was incredibly friendly. Overall I’d give the property a 9 out of 10. There was only one issue which was the location, it wasn’t the most ideal for our plans for the next day but the overall experience was excellent and I would return again providing that the location is convenient for our plans.

Rooms clean and comfortable enough, staff good at check in, very rude at breakfast, we didn’t bother staying for breakfast in the end we walked to the retail park and ate there. Sign on reception said 20 minute walk to Stadium of Light but it’s definitely 30-40 minutes. Would I return, no not really.

Room was dirty and very hot . I had pre booked a cot no cot in room so had to got to reception. No milk sugar one cup and spoon for a hot drink when there should be two. Paid for cooked breakfast to find out it's only continent breakfast reception staff was helpful. Would i stay again no not for me over priced and not what i was looking for in my stay

Enjoyed my stay there and booked in for the next 3 weeks. All the staff are very friendly and helpful while still being professional. It as got to be one of the comfiest beds I have slept in in a hotel, highly recommend this hotel to everyone

The staff were outstanding. It could of been a 5 star hotel. The gent on recreation offered to carry bags. Advised on the local area. Asked how we were and about our day. There was even an Easter delivery to the room. Unexpected but very lovely. All the staff went above and beyond here. Thank you for the most pleasant and happy stay at a hotel in a very long time.

There was even an Easter delivery to the room. Unexpected but very lovely. All the staff went above and beyond here. Thank you for the most pleasant and happy stay at a hotel in a very long time.

The hotel has recently been changed over from a migrant hotel back to a functional hotel. However very little has been done to bring it back to a functional accommodation. I would not take a UV light to either carpets or beds. It is clear the place needs a full refurb. When you arrive the first thing you notice is the derelict pub next to the entrance. The receptionist who would prefer to be somewhere else and has an attitude akin to the tired and unwelcoming property. The rooms are dirty, we did not take our shoes off in the room, as the carpet was covered in stains. The saving grace was the cold ridden receptionist in the morning who went out of her way to make breakfast pleasant. Will never stay again!

Very dated, you definitely get what you pay for here. Rooms clean and comfortable enough, staff good at check in, very rude at breakfast, we didn’t bother staying for breakfast in the end we walked to the retail park and ate there. Sign on reception said 20 minute walk to Stadium of Light but it’s definitely 30-40 minutes. Would I return, no not really.

The staff were efficient, welcoming and happy to help. We wanted a cheap & functional room and that’s what we got with a bonus of a fan. The parking was fantastic value - £5 for 24hrs and an easy walk to The Stadium of Light mainly along a pedestrian route. Definitely great value and superb staff.

As I pulled into the car park it dawned on me that I had stayed there before but it had been a Premier Inn back then. I am not sure why it was no longer part of that chain but it hadn't really changed. It was the same as it used to be. It was clean and tidy and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One word of warning: On their website they say they are in walking distance of the city centre amenities such as the Emporium Theatre (which is why we were there). We used Google maps to plan our walk and when it suggested it would take 50 mins we decided that was a little too much of a stroll to the theatre and back. Other than that this is a very good, value for money, hotel with lovely staff.

In the information it said that it had a restaurant next door, it didnt, I felt I was going to a very run down area and even the taxi driver bringing me was surprised. That said it was a comfy night and the staff were very helpful

It’s a hotel on a retail park so I didn’t expect too much. It was clean and comfortable, very basic. There was a lovely restaurant next door which was fine to take the kids in upstairs. There was a bar downstairs (beneath the restaurant) with a live DJ set (Saturday night) but we heard nothing from our room at front of the hotel, right next to the bar. Breakfast in a bag - as expected, porridge, water, fruit, croissant Family room £65 - happy with that

A good budget hotel to stay. Staff are friendly and helpfull. The only thing is that the breakfast is just reheated and not cooked fresh there. Omelete was served cold as it was not cooked properly from frozen but in general not a bad place to stay. Short distance to Newcastle as well.

Friendly staff and the place was clean and tidy. The outside is a mess. Don't book breakfast, they don't actually offer it. It's fine for a night but I wouldn't want to stay much longer simply because of the lack of facilities.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted with a warm attitude, the member of staff on desk on arrival was very friendly with my 4 year old daughter whom is very talkative and loves meeting new people. Our room was to a good standard - clean, spacious and had everything we needed including an en-suite bathroom, a TV, toiletries and a fan which kept us cool during the night. We had breakfast in the morning which was up to a good standard and the member of staff on the desk at breakfast time was incredibly friendly. Overall I’d give the property a 9 out of 10. There was only one issue which was the location, it wasn’t the most ideal for our plans for the next day but the overall experience was excellent and I would return again providing that the location is convenient for our plans.

I was a bit dubious at 1st, we had the breakfast but it seems the do each individual person at a time on the 1st day, but the 2nd day the had some warmers, its was nice. Rooms were tidy and clean. Looks like an old premier inn taken over by best west. I over heard some say they only had it couple of months. Will stay again.

So the outside of the building was alittle rough around the edges but my family didn't let that bother us You have pay for parking which is strange for a hotel in my opinion but it was only 5 pound for 24 hours. we checked into our room It was fairly clean but could tell the room is in need of some TLC. Problems came for sleeping. As we were a family with a young daughter. We had the window open due to no air con. Our room was directly over the entrance and smoking area. So throughout the night we were getting smoke smells in our room and also bad language from other people staying. I would have asked to move room but we were set up and daughter was trying to sleep. The morning breakfast was Alittle strange. Really not alot of options but the hot food which consisted of sausage , omelette and bacon were very nice. Drinks were just in a tiny fridge. Overall the breakfast was okay but the hotel states hosts corporate events and honestly can't imagine this in its current setup. Overall I would love to come back in 6 months time to see if the hotel improves on any of my comments but sadly I wouldn't want to pay again for that experience.

Possible the worst hotel i have stayed at for the money I paid so much so I paid for 2 nights and chose to stay at another hotel instead of staying the 2nd night . Makeshift bar / reception only offering pizza as the adjacent pub looked like it had been closed years ago . Rat droppings all around the building ... I could go on but I've got a life to Live and they had a cheek to ask for parking payment on virtually empty car park 🙃
