The property was brand new and very nice. Nothing broken or crappy yet.

Nice hotel. Pool appears to need a little attention. Nice, clean room with lots of space. Outside sitting area could use a little clean up. Very satisfied with hotel and location. Looking forward to free breakfast.

Hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Offered a great hot and cold breakfast in the morning, the pool is open late. Fitness center is open 24/7.

The staff was super friendly and informative. The pool was too cool to get in, thought it would be heated. Other than that, the stay was great. Room was nice and clean, staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Great stay.

The hotel was quiet and beds were comfortable. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The pool was too cold to swim in, however there was a very nice and clean little gym which we could exercise in. It even had a nice water station! However, there was one complaint. Your computer. There was only one pc and it was very difficult to go online with. I needed to pullup information so a very nice person helped us get on the internet. When we went to pull up the email we needed to print, the pc was not connecting to the printer! So we then tried to print from our phone, and this did not work. It told us to try a USB so we tried that and nothing. We had no time left after all this, to try and find some place else to print this email and had to go without our much needed parking pass. This was very frustrating. Please fix your computers, or do not offer them at all. We were counting on it working.

We had an excellent stay. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable. The shower was great after a long day of work. Breakfast was delicious and kept well-stocked. It couldn’t have been better!

This location is very clean and the staff is AWESOME! From the first smile at the front desk to continued communication, this place is one to come back to.

We would stay at this hotel again. Trinia who checked us in was kind, welcoming, and friendly. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The only little downside was the elevator floors needed cleaning even after we were there over night. Also, not sure who the young man who was on the floor the late evening we checked in but he was cleaning rooms and my bag strap broke and he was so sweet and kind and helped me to my room. This little simple thing was well appreciated and deserves to be recognized.

My sheets had a hint of cigarette smoke smell.

Clean, quiet, comfy bed, pleasant staff. Not much dining nearby but doesn’t matter when the property is so clean and safe.

This was my second time staying at this particular Holiday Inn Express. I very much like the facility, the staff and the free breakfast, however the beds have no support and lean downward toward the head. This is not good for the elderly or those who have acid reflux. The mattress is so soft it bends in the middle which makes it difficult to sleep on your side. I ended up with a back ache. Also, the comforter on the bed is far too heavy with no other option; either you had to use it or just sleep under a sheet.

Nice hotel with friendly service. Breakfast was good with many options. The bed was awful though, I found it very uncomfortable. A good hotel but the beds could be better.

It is so noisy. The guests around me are very loud and the walls are thin and you can hear conversations all around you

Would definitely stay here again. Hotel seems fairly new. We had a king bed, mattress comfy and the room was huge. Fantastic shower

Room was quiet, darkening blind was awesome. Slept great.

The staff was friendly, and the room was super clean. The only thing I didn’t like is that the walls are really thin-I heard someone snoring loudly and it made it hard to get to sleep. But I did, and breakfast the next day was really good. I would stay here again, with earplugs!

We had to leave before breakfast was offered so that was disappointing. The area was nice and clean though and the rooms were spacious. We would stay here again.

There are no phones in the room, if you need something you have to go to the front desk to request it.

New hotel with a couple of minor growing pains (our room didn't have a phone and the lock was misaligned to the door jam). Also, they tried closing breakfast early (tisk tisk), but otherwise very nice and enjoyable.

Overall good, there was a double booking of my room the last night.

Staff was very friendly, and the room was clean, and cozy, with the bed being very comfortable!

Reservation was for 3 rooms, had to wait for front desk to work it out. Stayed 4 nights. 2nd night it was so noisy,kids running, slamming doors, adults yelling,knocking so loud, complained to front desk after waiting several min and was told we should of complained to night shift staff, very very rude. Offered a parcel refund but was told since we booked through Expedia it couldnt be done. Short of staff as noticed, towels in hallway x24 hrs, dead leaves in hall x24 hrs, garbage overflowed in dining area, pool area had towels all over floor and no one in pool area. Reception stated "uh no we are not short staff.Don't know why you would say that."very rude. Kimberly was our housekeeper and she is such a good housekeeper, did our room 203 for the first 3 days, never an issue. Always left the room spotless. On the 3rd day we had harmony and she came in took the tip and left the full garbage cans, never made the bed, didnt refill anything..just took the tip and left. On the other 2 rooms we rented for family service was none existent 303,403. Breakfast was great all but one morning biscuits hard as rocks, pancake machine broken, no juice, was told maint was fired. Parking lot had cigarettes butts on ground, garbage full. Staff kids use the pool very loud, splashing everyone sitting in chairs, sign says no children under 16 without parents,no parents and all three under 13, doing cannon balls into the pool, left towels everywhere and we picked them up. Checked out 7/7 by Ms Rude

Overall a good stay, I had a couple of issues and each time there was no one at the front desk to speak with and I had to wait each time, the second time I waited for approximately 5 minutes!!

Check your credit card when you come home. They double charged me and it took a month of me calling (they won't call you back) to straighten out. And watch for that deposit to show at a later date. The actual stay was fine, but will never go back because of the billing issue.

The facility is near a very popular lake. Many of your guests are trailering their boats and it would be geat if the parking lot was set up to accommodate truck and trailer combinations.

The hotel is new and very clean. Breakfast was great, lots of options. The location was quiet and away from a lot of traffic, but close to restaurants and shopping.

Mini family vacation while dropping off at SIU. Made a great homebase in Murphysboro, which had good restaurant options and access to Parks. Breakfast was excellent!

It was good. Just make sure you know this is Murphysboro and not Carbondale. The 2 holiday inns are about 15-20 mins away from each other, so be careful.

Easy access to hiking, wineries and shopping! Very friendly staff and breakfast was excellent!

This hotel is newer. Very nice. Quiet area. Stayed here while visiting my son at college. It’s a little out of the way that the college but less expensive and nicer than hotels that are closer

Stayed with family over night to check out SIU-C. Very convenient location. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. We would stay again.

I showed up for the free breakfast 20 minutes before it closed. I asked the employee but she said they had no more plastic knives and they were not serving hot oatmeal because their oatmeal cooker was broken.

Free breakfast was below expectations, day 1 not enough for the day started at 630 and no bacon and eggs after 645. Day 2 no bread or pancakes at 650 & eggs were cold.

Everything was great. We had a great breakfast everyday.

I come here often no labels on food. No other meat options. It’s 2024 get with the program.
