Although the hotel’s exterior looks a little grim, inside is a different story with very friendly staff, pleasant refurbished rooms and excellent food. A patio with a lake view on a warm evening is an added bonus. Easy to find and ideal as a stopover either before or after a ferry it’s excellent value and recommended!

I stayed here with my teenage sons, the hotel was easy to reach by car and there was parking on site. The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Beds were very comfortable, we had a great walk around the lake that was behind the property. Rooms very clean and welcoming. Was easy to reach the War memorial from the hotel. Would stay here again and would recommend it.

I arrived late but the staff were very helpful. There’s a nice park beside the hotel which was great for walking the dog. The overnight charging for the car worked perfectly as well

La fenêtre de la chambre ne ferme pas correctement tu entends le sifflement du vent. Et toile d'araignée dans l'angle de la fenêtre et le rideau qui passe devant le radiateur en chauffe ca sent l'incendie

chambre 23 petite chambre exiguë non chaleureuse avec radiateur derrière le rideau, pouf en guise de table de nuit et 2 planches pour la penderie ... on voit que l'on a fait du home staging : cache misère. la chambre a été juste repeinte avec rajout de papier peint. literie qui grince, douche moisie, porte serviette qui ne tient plus… chambre qui sent le tabac et ventilation bruyante. je trouve le prix cher par rapport à la prestation. sinon les parties communes restent correctes, bon petit déjeuné, et personnel accueillant et serviable. je n'ai pas vu le cadre extérieur.

Séjour très décevant. Réservation non respecté (vue sur lac demandée). Après réclamation et insistation, nous avons eu une chambre vue Lac mais la réceptionniste a dû y faire le ménage car cela n’avait pas été fait avant. Le prix de la chambre ne vaut pas le prix : rideau sale, douche qui ne fonctionne pas correctement, les éléments étaient dévissés rien ne tenait. Et quand le lendemain matin vous indiquer votre mécontentement, on ne comprends pas notre réaction

The members of staff were very friendly and equally helpful when we asked for advice. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom not only had a bath, but also a great shower. The breakfast was great. I would definitely return to this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others visiting Dunkirk.

A nice hotel in a quiet location just off the main road, rooms were nice and staff very friendly and spoke good English, however there is no soundproofing from the army accommodation upstairs and we were kept awake till after midnight.

Food - both dinner and breakfast - very good indeed for a relatively cheap hotel. Waiting staff fairly useless, partly because of poor English. My main course at dinner was not what I ordered (however, it was very good) and my second glass of wine was not the same as my first (and it was terrible). Room comfortable and fine for a one-night stay, but it was very small.

Staff were friendly. Property was rundown with unkept surroundings. Room was damp and amenities in the room poor. No water pressure in shower and curtains not wide enough to pull. Food not great. Hotel in need of complete refurbishment.

Hotel was ok. Meal was average but they had a bus load of teenage girls and put us in a room between then all so we were subjected to dozens of screaming girls running up and down the corridor. Additionally when we paid our bill the receptionist said the payment didn’t go through, I showed her the confirmation charge on my phone but she insisted that she couldn’t see it her end - so I repaid using the actual card on the basis that they would refund me if I had paid twice. Watch this space.

Hotel was ok. Meal was average but they had a bus load of teenage girls and put us in a room between then all so we were subjected to dozens of screaming girls running up and down the corridor. Additionally when we paid our bill the receptionist said the payment didn’t go through, I showed her the confirmation charge on my phone but she insisted that she couldn’t see it her end - so I repaid using the actual card on the basis that they would refund me if I had paid twice. Watch this space.

Eigentlich ein nett eingerichtetes Hotel, leider im Zustand etwas vernachlässigt. Alle Türen sind verzogen und nur mit sehr viel Druck und Lärm zu schließen. Der Klodeckel wackelte und die Fernbedienungen für den Fernseher waren rätselhaft. Bei unserer Ankunft nach 16 Uhr waren die Zimmer nicht fertig, das wurde aber sehr nett und zuvorkommend geregelt. Das Frühstück ließ kaum Wünsche offen, für ein Hotel dieser Kategorie herausragend.

We had a lovely room with a nice view of the lake out back. Breakfast was good. The service was excellent. The only problem was that our toilet was running. Easy fix and an excellent stay.

I stayed here with my teenage sons, the hotel was easy to reach by car and there was parking on site. The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Beds were very comfortable, we had a great walk around the lake that was behind the property. Rooms very clean and welcoming. Was easy to reach the War memorial from the hotel. Would stay here again and would recommend it.

Although the hotel’s exterior looks a little grim, inside is a different story with very friendly staff, pleasant refurbished rooms and excellent food. A patio with a lake view on a warm evening is an added bonus. Easy to find and ideal as a stopover either before or after a ferry it’s excellent value and recommended!

I stayed here with my teenage sons, the hotel was easy to reach by car and there was parking on site. The hotel was quiet and safe, staff were very pleasant and customer focused. Pleasant hotel with lovely view of the lake. A bit noisy due to near a main road. The restaurant was good served nice food. Staff were helpful and spoke some English. Room was clean, only downside was there were only one pillow and when we asked for more they could only find one extra which was poor.

Frühstück für diese Kategorie eher ungenügend. Rühreier extrem weich und bacon eher lasch. Ansonsten die Auswahl sehr übersichtlich. Definitiv keine 16 € pro Person wert.

We verbleven 1 nacht. We kregen een mooie kamer op het gelijkvloers. Alles was proper en netjes. Personeel was heel vriendelijk. Mooie omgeving naast een meer. Was leuk voor wandelingen met de hond. Het eten in het restaurant was lekker maar de menu was beperkt. Het ontbijt was gevarueerd en lekker. We keren daar graag terug.

The members of staff were very friendly and equally helpful when we asked for advice. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bathroom not only had a bath, but also a great shower. The breakfast was great. I would definitely return to this hotel and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to others visiting Dunkirk.

Staff were friendly. Property was rundown with unkept surroundings. Room was damp and amenities in the room poor. No water pressure in shower and curtains not wide enough to pull. Food not great. Hotel in need of complete refurbishment.

The staff and the hotel itself were excellent. Breakfast was amazingly delicious, as was the dinner. Walking outside at the lake was very relaxing. A short drive into anywhere you want to go in Dunkirk was very easy

Bonjour, L’accueil était parfait, rien à redire sur ce point. En revanche, plusieurs éléments ont fortement dégradé mon séjour. Il n’y avait aucune climatisation dans la chambre. Il faisait pourtant frais dans les couloirs et à l’extérieur, mais la chaleur dans la chambre était insupportable. Le seul moyen de se rafraîchir était un simple ventilateur. Il est possible d’ouvrir les fenêtres, mais l’hôtel étant situé juste à côté du lac, les moustiques arrivent immédiatement. La chambre est également très petite, tout comme le bureau. Celui-ci est tellement étroit qu’une fois un petit ordinateur posé dessus, il ne reste pratiquement plus aucune place pour travailler. Enfin, la salle de bain mériterait clairement d’être rénovée. L’ensemble paraît vieillissant, avec notamment des taches au fond de la douche et un sèche-cheveux complètement hors d’âge. C’est dommage, car la qualité de l’accueil était excellente, mais le confort de la chambre n’était vraiment pas à la hauteur. Un b&b hôtel est bien mieux et moins cher.

A really easy and convenient place to stop when travelling using the train or ferry from/to the UK. Room small but clean and functional. Staff very helpful, easy and safe parking. The breakfast had lots of different options and great coffee. Would definitely recommend and use again for an overnight stop.
