We stayed in the lodge. The rooms had 2 comfortable double beds. The setting is beautiful and quiet and the dining room has a great view of KY Lake. The dining room serves breakfast every day and lunch and dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. We only ate breakfast in the dining room and it was great. They offer 3 or 4 options with the ability to mix and match for an additional small fee. They host a trivia game Friday night and have a game room with video games, pool, ping pong and shuffle board. The pool looks very inviting and overlooks KY Lake.

The cabin is clean, bathroom sparkling. Staff were welcoming, friendly, approachable, and helpful. Pet friendly with no hassles, comparatively small fee. Family friendly, Delicious!, hot breakfast (free entrée in lodge restaurant). We arrived very late, so checked in over the phone with no hassles. Not so great is the 10am check out for cabins. Strange, somewhat long, steep steps down to most cabins were difficult for those with disabilities to traverse. If needed, ask for cabin with fewer steps or if they have one that is fully accessible. Overall, we enjoyed it so much we stayed two extra days.

It was a beautiful, clean place, with such friendly staff. The cottage I stayed in was quiet and clean. Even when our large group was eating together in the dining room, ordering it all at once, the staff did not become flustered. The grounds were immaculate. I can't wait to visit again next year

We checked in to a foul smell and a dead mouse in our unit. We were put into another unit but had to wait 2 hours for maintenance to fix the key maker. After check in the air had been off and it was 80 degrees in the unit and the vents were closed. We had to have maintenance come and open the vents and ensure the air was working. It took 6 hours for the unit to reach 74 degrees. The breakfast was free but service was not good with only three choices

This is a very bare bones stay. No extra pillows or blankets. No artwork on the walls. There were sticky traps in the kitchen that had a dead mouse on it in plain view by the fridge.

3/5 Ok Our cottage was dirty, spiders and webs everywhere around front door and in patio. Had to clean before i could enjoy it. Drawers in kitchen were dirty. Dishes felt nasty. Found numerous spiders and a few ticks in cottage. No driveway for our cottage, where others did have them. Had to park on street. Power went out during our stay and was still out when we left 10 hours later. Hotel did not even offer any compensation for the inconvenience of the situation. You had to drive back and forth to the main office for clean towels etc. Expedia says this cottage sleeps 6, it only sleeps 4.

167 for 7 hours if that cause there was brown recrusle spiders one bit me crawled up on the couch and I got a huge mark on me now I’d like a refund honestly we had to leave it was mine and my husbands 14 yr anniversary he has stage 3 throat cancer thought this would be perfect but it wasn’t. The porch by the door was breaking off as well.

This was one of our best trips EVER! The staff throughout the entire park were so nice and friendly, the restaurant was great, and everything was super clean. The rooms are a little small, but we had enough room for the weekend. We WILL be back.

A very clean hotel. The pool was clean and the pool towels were nice. Our room was nice, but the toilet was loose from the floor and rocked a bit each time you sat on and got up from it. The grounds of the resort are kept very nicely and the location on the lake is wonderful. The included breakfast was just okay. They have preserved the charming 1950's decor and style.

I’ve stayed here many times over the years the price is about mid range, the place is clean, but very dated. It needs alot of TLC, but you can bring your dogs with you.

The park, lake and property grounds are beautiful. We stayed in the main building and the staff was very pleasant. The only drawback was that we couldn't get on the internet and had to use our phones as personal hotspots. Otherwise, I would say that this resort was a great value.

I think there were only three other guests on the Wednesday we were there. This was a stop on the way to our final destination and the place looked really great on the app. In reality it was a little run down and could use some TLC. Im not complaining it was not that bad.the check in person was great. There was no Wi-Fi or cellular service I n the room. We had to go out to the lobby to get service. The person at the desk put a call into maintenance about it and told us the had just installed routers in the rooms recently. We were there only one night so we just did with out. All in all we would go back again and stay longer

Our stay was very good. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. Everything we needed was pretty much supplied. The service was really good also. The only real issue was the air conditioning unit was very noisy. It woke us up multiple times each night, both nights of our stay. The unit could really use an overhaul.

The staff is extremely friendly, the lodge room was clean and comfortable. Our room had a nice view of the lake. We were pleasantly surprised with the hot breakfast that was included with our room and the dining room staff couldn’t have been nicer. This is our go-to place when we stay in the Kentucky Lake area.

The only thing we did not like was the bed. We thought we had a queen or king bed. It was a double bed only. Comfortable but we needed more room. Did not sleep well for fear of falling off the bed. The tv remote system and directions for use was a joke. Had to call for assistance and the 2nd room we reserved for my sister didn’t have correct remote in room to operate the tv.

Property nice and clean service was good. Food in the restaurant was excellent. The facilities just need some serious maintenance and updating. Was also disappointed in the view from the room. The trees have overgrown to the point you can’t tell you are even lake front.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage while we were there to ride side by sides at Turkey Bay OHV trails at LBL. Super convenient drive across the bridge to the Park. The cottages are a little bit dated (as pictures show) but very clean. Area is very quiet. Staff was super accommodating! We had 2 trucks with trailers. Parking by cottages was good for us but may be tough when there are more people in the other cottages. Staff offered us the option to park trailers up by main resort office if we needed more room to park. Breakfast was included at resort restaurant and was GREAT!! Marina and Burger place were less than a mile from our cottage. We loved the enclosed porch on the cottage for hanging out in evenings. Only “con” would be the mattresses. They were pretty hard and uncomfortable. If you are particular about your mattress you may want to bring a mattress pad. We will definitely stay there again & will recommend to anyone staying in the area! Thanks for a great weekend!

Terrible experience due to poor customer service and neglected upkeep. Arrived for check in to a dark lobby. “We haven’t had power for four days and can’t have any guests”. This after we made reservations a month in advance and drove 5 hours to get there. They never even called to alert us, nor did they have any options ready for us. Staff was helpless and sadly clueless, with no regard for customers. Luckily we got a cabin for one night at another resort. We returned for our second night as power had been restored. Cabin was somewhat in good repair on the inside, and everything was in working order to be fair. But the state of repair of the wooden deck was a bit scary, and sadly the hiking paths were in a similarly bad state of repair. We definitely will not return to this place. On the bright side, the resort who bailed us out for the first night was excellent for the same price and we’ll be going back there again.

The lake resort park is a more dated version of Lake Barkley's accomodations. We stayed in a cottage that,was the perfect size forbus as a couple celbrating our anniversary. The biggest issues were with our shower. The tub (and the bathroom sink) didn't drain well. Initially, there was a shower curtain hung that was too short and let water all over the floor. Because they hung a single panel curtain, and the shower is very narrow, you couldn't have the exhaust fan running or the curtain would blow onto you while you washed. The faucet sprayed water all over even while the shower head was on. Because of this wasted water, the hot water ran out quickly. After we informed the front desk, they did replace our shower curtain with a longer one (although it was still single panel), and they fix the sink drain and slightly improved the tub drain. On the plus side, the shower head was great! The cottage had a nice kitchen, dining table, and couch. The TV mounting and location in both the living room and bedroom could have been better, but it was sufficient. The bed was comfortable. The best thing about Kenlake is the location. There is easy acces to most things in the area. Staff were pleasant enough... although the restaurant staff got easily overwhelmed during the Saturday morning breakfast rush. Hopefully this resort park will get an upgrade now that Lake Barkley Resort Park is about down with their renovation.

It is an older property owned by the state of Kentucky, has not been updated, but it still had a charm. The old doors on each room, it was simple and very clean. Breakfast in the restaurant was fresh and prepared just as requested. So good. My waitress was the sweetest. I was at my daughter's wedding and the desk clerk called to see if I was still coming because it was so late. She was so welcoming. I heard some staff talking about how long it had been since they had gotten a raise. I felt so bad for them because each one I met gave their all to make my stay wonderful. They are the heart of the Kenlake and the as representatives of our state. They were a big part of my very restful stay for the mother of a bride. If you love simplicity, beautiful views, a good peaceful walk and friendliness, this is your place. Blessings!!!

Location was great for distance to Land between the Lakes main road. Would have been nice to have a microwave but everything else was great. Arrived early & the clerk went ahead & checked me in so I could rest up & get out of the heat. Looking forward to going back

Our stay was great even with the weather getting bad. It is a great place to stay. We had a view of the lake from our window. There was a nice deck with tables where we watch the ducks over looking the lake as well.We will definitely come back again. You can't go wrong if your looking for a good place to stay. It was really peaceful and easy place to relax.

The place is quite and has nice view. The property is outdated, but it is well Maintained and clean. The staff are very nice and the breakfast is very delicious. The location is excellent and is very close to the land between the lakes.

There is not much in the area, so you had to drive at least 15 miles in any direction to get dining varieties and fuel. We enjoyed our stay. Wish there was a fridge in the room to keep food/drinks cold.

Bathroom was a little cool since the heat comes from a unit under the window on the other end of the unit but leaving the door open fixed that. Breakfast was good and very reasonable! Staff was very friendly too. Room had no refrigerator or microwave.

we had a really nice weekend, my only complaint would be that there is no mini fridge, and no actual vending machines. I do wish the resturaunt were open a little later but the food we had WAS AMAZING and portions were EXCELLENT
