Royal Day Plaza Hotel

Pros: Very clean hotel (you can always see the staff cleaning). Breakfast is good, some of it is repetitive as expected. The pools are a good size and as the hotel wasn’t busy, it was nice to have the pools mostly to ourselves. A little play area for the kids including a trampoline (although a little dated). Pharmacy, cafe and local shop were all next door. Good size fridge in the room. Staff are friendly and were always willing to help. In particular, a lady who was always at the swimming pool area who would stay in the play area with the kids. Also another lady in the swimming pool area who would usually make drinks, she was always smiling and very friendly. The lounge/restaurant has a large screen tv both inside and outside where they screen football games including premier league. Cons: the towels in the room, although were clean but were no longer white. These really should be changed. Sometimes staff don’t bring you the right order (most likely because they don’t write them down) and some are quite lacking in English so sometimes a little difficult for my wife to communicate. We stayed in the suite and found the lighting in the living room to be too bright especially at night when you want to just wind down on the sofa, no lamp in sight to turn on instead. This is not a non smoking hotel (most are not in Egypt anyway) so expect guests to smoke in communal areas. Overall a good hotel but needs a few improvements to make it a great hotel.

Thought I could upload a video that I took of the remove, but only pictures area allowed. First time in Egypt & this property is about 30 minutes from Cairo. I loved my stay. The staff was friendly & super helpful. The room was very comfortable. We had the royal suite & had a living & dining room, with a two-bedroom apartment, with three balconies; one attached to the living room & one to each of the bedrooms, which overlooked the front of the property. Very enjoyable at night. The breakfast spread was amazing, lots of options & made to order omelette. Everything was perfect. You walk through a metal-detector upon entering, but you realize its for the safety of all. There's a game area on the first floor & a store, for gifts. The pool is nice & relaxing. Plenty of parking. There's lots of new developments happening in the area, so while it is a pretty quiet area now, in a few years it may become busier. A few restaurants literally two minutes walking distance. A lovely area, by far. Will recommend & will definitely stay here again, when in Cairo. Will be my go-to hotel. Love this place!!!

Clean property in a quiet area. Most guests are local business travelers, not tourists from other countries. Most of the staff spoke basic English and willing to help in any way they could. Being that we were two female tourists, we felt safe staying here. One restaurant onsite with room service available. Not far from Mall of Egypt which is an easy Uber ride away. About 50 minute drive from airport and Old Cairo. 35 minute drive to Giza Pyramids.

It's very out the way, so make Uber your best friend. The hotel is clean and staff helpful,breakfast food is very limited and same every day. There is no bar,it is a dry hotel(no alcohol). Small shops nearby for essentials but again no alcohol.

Great service. The chef made the best omelette and very friendly every morning. Every staff member from reception, to house keeping to the door men were absolutely brilliant. Great restaurant meal options and room service option too, decent pricing. Will definitely come again. Thank you Royal Plaza Hotel.

Nice stay in general,the room is clean and spacious,stuff are polite and helpful. Breakfast is decent with acceptable variety.

Internet not working properly . TV not working . The room not clean and i had to call them to clean the table from remaining food from previous customer .

It’s a pleasant surprise to be at RDP Hotel. The staff was super helpful for my midnight check in and helped tremendously to orient me to the facility. Very attentive breakfast staff! Very nice, good hot water and very clean. I do recommend it!

door nop was broken, and they refused to fix it. there is no bathrobe and no sleepers they are allowed to smoke in the lobby and restaurant I cannot breath

Internet is Norma very strong and each time it disconnect. All others are excellent

Unfortunately, my experience with Royal Day Plaza was extremely disappointing and started off on the worst possible note after a long and exhausting 30-hour journey. We arrived at the hotel around 7 AM, as a family with two young children (ages 3 and 5), hoping to check in and get some much-needed rest. To our shock, the duty manager on site, Mr. Muhammad Rageb, greeted us with an attitude that can only be described as unprofessional and completely lacking in hospitality. From the very beginning, his tone was aggressive and dismissive. Rather than welcoming us, he immediately began insisting that we would be charged extra for our 3-year-old child—something we’ve never encountered in any of our travels. He then told us that we couldn't check in yet unless we paid an early check-in fee. While I understand hotel policies, the way he communicated this was rude and unnecessarily confrontational. I calmly asked, “What is the problem?” and pointed out how exhausted we were after our trip. Instead of offering any empathy or support, he responded arrogantly, saying “I’m the manager and I can do whatever I want.” There is much more to say, simply dont recommend this hotel. You

This hotel is an oasis in the desert! As a solo female foreigner, I felt safe, protected. The staff was always present. I read former reviews about a poor breakfast, so I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of food offerings plus a made to order egg station was especially nice. I have to say the staff spoiled me! It was clean and just perfect for my needs. I highly recommend this place!
