Hotel Virgen Del Mar

Nice hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast. Lots of dining options just outside.

Excellent position for restaurants and beach. Staff very friendly and buffet breakfast very good choice.

Thought it odd that Expedia sent me a message a few days before our reservation to say "It\'s not to late to cancel without losing money" This may have been a subtle warning and maybe Expedia should remove this property from the Mojacar listings... We knew the Hotel was basic but the room smelled of stale cigarettes, the tub was permanently stained as was the tile floor grout. The bed was ok and the sheets were clean. The breakfast was the bare minimum. The Hotel is located across from a disco that thumps til 2:00am and the area is party central so when it empties out so do the loud drunks. The air-conditioning is beyond it\'s best before date. The only positive is the location to the beach and parking, although no direction was given about anything let alone how to get into the parking lot. I\'m surprised how this property earns the "Expedia Recommended" list.
