Room was comfortable and clean. 3 star was due to it being very dark. More lighting would have been a simple fix. As well as the parking. You can not always get a place to park even though you are staying over night.

Hotel parking lot was packed, nowhere to park ANYWHERE. I found a spot around 11pm. I went to my car the following morning, and there was damage done to the hood of my rental car. Hotel did nothing about it. They overbook, cause havoc, then wash their hands of any damages. Pathetic.

Beautiful property and super nice rooms. Everyone was very friendly, the spa experience was amazing, and the restaurants were delicious as well. Got to use the gym, which honestly had everything you could possibly need, and all the equipment was not dated at all. The room had a mini fridge which came in handy, there was a microwave to warm food up in downstairs in the lobby, and a nice selection of snacks to choose from. 10/10 would come back here, and would recommend this place for solo travelers, friends looking to go on a spa getaway, or families (ideally without little children, just to maintain the peaceful vibe of this place- but I’m sure children are welcome lol)

My wife and our two kids stayed at Château Cartier Hotel & Resort for a Family Day long weekend combined with Valentine’s Day — a perfect opportunity to ski and step away from our daily routine. We really enjoyed the comfortable beds and having TVs in both rooms, which allowed us to relax and watch the Winter Olympics together in the evenings. The highlight of our stay was definitely the spa located on the ground level. My wife and I spent Saturday there from 5 pm to 10 pm, and it was exactly what we needed — relaxing, well-maintained, and a great atmosphere. One of our absolute favourite features was the ritual sessions in the dry sauna — something my wife and I truly adore whenever we attend spas. It added a special and elevated touch to the entire experience. The spa bar and the lobby bar both offered excellent cocktails, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The location is also very convenient. The hotel is close to Mont Cascades for skiing and near the Rideau Canal for ice skating, making it a great choice for a winter family getaway. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.

This is in the full suburb environment but so close to Ottawa downtown. It is convenient for tourists. I wish the hotel could provide swimming pools as a regular hotel/resort service.

The staff is amazing. I have received a professional and courteous check-in and checkout. The staff met around is also friendly and professional. The beds and sheets were clean and spotless. The bathroom is clean as well. The only thing is the room floor and the support chairs were not clean as I expected. Maybe give the cleaning staff more time and be aware that it takes effort. I did not want to lower the rating because of all the other positive things done. All the best

The double queen suite was large, but bathroom was quite small and don't get me talking about the tiny fridge tucked inside the closet! Overall the stay was comfortable, however, the floor was not clean, we noticed a lot of white hair beneath the fixed furtniture, making us believe a lite sweep is barely done after each guest. The bathroom was rather small and dated, with a broken clothing string, and no ceiling fan.

Given an early check-in which was nice but the room had not been cleaned in months based I the spider webs and dust bunnies on the wood floor & walls. I was given another room which also had not been cleaned. After complaining - twice now - was told our room would be “refreshed” after I left to get to the spa. Would have preferred to have waited on a clean room over going through this.

The room looked clean when you walked in, but there was a lot of dust in the not so visable spots On the toilet, coffee maker, TV etc The air vent in the bathroom above the toilet was gross :( Could use better cleaning Beds were great !

Staff was lovely and the location was perfect but our room was not properly cleaned. Our terrace was full of cigarettes and beer caps all over the table. Our bathroom had package wrappers on the floor clumps of hair around.

Hotel is ok! Showing signs of age, would need redecorating, some new furniture, some new windows, etc… Room was also ok, very large, clean, matress a bit soft for my taste, shower plumbing fixture was not the best. Heating and AC unit very loud, we had to shut it off for the night, so morning temperature was very cold. Also no heat in the bathroom? Hotel was very quiet, pleasant staff. Tried the on site japanese restaurant Kato for dinner, very pleased, good food, sushi and sashimi and many other choices, nice wine selection and prices were reasonable! A plus, we had a table next to the 4 sided fireplace, which was very pleasant. Area around is not walkable, shopping and restaurants are about 10 to 20 min. by car. Free parking a bonus, no indoor parking options though. Koena spa on the premises seems great, but did not try.

The fan in the room was on all night. Too hot or too cold. Super noisey. Didn’t sleep Had a shower and then faucet fell off in the Barth tub. The bathroom was flooded all the way back to the bedroom We didn’t have to check out until noon but left at. 8 am. And. Still have another. 7 hours to drive. Totally exhausted

Nous étions trois sœurs et avions deux chambres côte à côte. C’était parfait. La chambre partagée à deux, les lits séparés par une porte française nous donnait une belle intimité. L’autre chambre avait un petit salon nous permettant de jaser et luncher ensemble. Belles grandes pièces. Le site est beau. Le personnel serviable. Bémol pour les voitures électriques, j’ai eu beaucoup de difficulté à pourvoir obtenir l’une des deux bornes. Le système serait à repenser et des bornes additionnelles devraient être envisagées.

The hotel was great. My only negative feedback is that is was noisy: HVAC clicking and clacking through the vents woke me up a few times (it might have been loose baffles), you could hear lots of voices from the hallway, and car noises from the main road (no sound-proof windows??). But I would stay here again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Felt safe and was quiet. The only complaint was the bathtub mat was peeling off and it drained very slowly. Other than that really enjoyed our stay, would definitely come back.

The property is beautiful and the food and drink selections were good but we found it a little on the pricey side. On the most part the staff was very nice and pleasant but we also had a couple of not so nice front desk staff. We had an issue with our air conditioning not working on our first night and we had to call the front desk three times to get it working. The first call to the front desk about the AC the lady said she had to call us back. We waited over an hour in our room and she never called back, so my husband called the front desk again. They finally sent a technician up to look at it and in our limited french we understood he would fix it from the basement in the control room. He then opened our window and left. We went out for dinner and when we came back to our room we were expecting the AC to be working but it still wasn't and it was super hot in our room even with the window still open. I went down to the front desk again and was told by a male desk clerk that there was nothing they could do tonight as the technician had gone home but that they would send the technician back up the next day and if it couldn't be fixed they would put us in a new room. No one came the next day, so we went down to the front desk again at 1 pm and finally it got fixed. That first night was a rough sleepness night as it was too hot to sleep and we were not impressed. Other than that, we loved the spa and enjoyed our time there.

Check in and overnight was smooth sailing. However breakfast was a nightmare. 3 staff members working the floor of the restaurant with a maximum of 10 tables and the service was atrocious. No one gave us menus or water. Once we asked for menus, another server took them away moments later, but didnt take our order. 15 mins later, we flag someone to take our order. Then watched as our food and 2 other tables orders sat in the window for just under 20 mins. All while they servers ran around filling coffee pots with other coffee pots, and the creamer station and the jams ect. We got up and poured our own water after awhile. When the food finally arrived, it was cold of course. We requested a manger, one was not working until a hour later. Once we went to enjoy thehot tubs,1 out of 3 of the outdoor tubs was basically not functional as it was luke warm. Which made everyone crowd in the other 2 tubs. We waited for about 5 more hours to see if the temperature would come up, but it hadnt. We reported to the desk, to find out a technician was by, but didnt seem to get it fixed for the day. For the money spent, I would give this stay a 2/5.

The spa is very very good. Check in extremely slow and basic. The restaurant was terrible. Our pasta was too garlicky and the pizza was basically a very small naan bread and it was very over priced ($30).

This hotel was amazing from start to finish. The staff were super accommodating and made us feel comfortable speaking English, which we really appreciated. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had a lovely view. Both on-site restaurants were top-notch — great food and atmosphere. We used this hotel as a launching point to visit Parliament Hill, and the Uber ride downtown was only $20. Would absolutely stay here again!

What a great stay. Staff was wonderful. Suite was lovely (would be nice to have this room option, with 2 beds). Great having Koena Spa on site. Ono restaurant was good. Only downside is if you go with an older person, getting in and out of tub for a shower is very dangerous.
