Inn At Moss Landing Point

It was clean, the room was big we had two queen beds. The room, bedding and bathroom were clean. Good towels. Hot water and good water pressure. Comfy beds and pillows. Friendly staff. No coffee maker in the room, but had a real good coffee machine in the big reception area plus a microwave. They did not have a continental breakfast, they had stuff for one but you had to buy it, coffee was free. It was a little noisy, could hear people in the next room. Maybe needs more insulation? Nice and close to Moss Landing state beach, great for bird viewing and kayaking, whale watching. Nice beach. Not to many places to eat there, the little diner in town had a really good breakfast. We drove to Marina for other food. We stayed 2 nights. We had fun

The Inn At Moss Landing is an awesome, centrally located place to stay in between Santa Cruz and Monterey. This is our second visit. Very nicely decorated and clean. The lobby coffee machine is outstanding and they have a self serve snack bar to hold you over in a pinch. The staff and owners are amazingly friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area AND the rich history of Moss Landing alike! Can't wait to come back!

Weather was FANTASTIC. Was a VERY peaceful trip. This facility was GREAT, staff was very friendly at all times of the day or night. Coffee 24/7 but no snacks avalable "coming soon". Room had a fridge but no Microwave or coffee in room. Not a BIG deal and they are in some rooms I was told. With or without I would stay here again....the Staff was some of the best people I have meet at any lodging.

Great spot to base yourself for whale watching trips from Moss Landing! Definitely one of the best appointed inns in the area. Love the new addition of the self serve food options in the lobby since I stayed last fall.

i arrived very late after my flight got in to sfo. the drive to moss landing was easy and the hotel was right off highway 1. it was nicely lit up and my key was waiting for me in the lockbox. the communication with the management made for smooth entry. my room was warm as they had turned on the heat for me and the reception area had self serve hot tea and any snacks you could think of if you arrive with a bit of an appetite. the room was clean and the bed and linens were very comfy. so quiet! next morning i made my self a satisfying cup of cappuccino from the complimentary coffee bar then headed over to the cafe for a decent breakfast. it was a good way to start my coastal visit

Great place for overnight stay before early morning whale watching that departs minutes from Hotel. Clean rooms, friendly and responsive management and convenient location. There is no restaurant on site, but there is a vending area in the lobby that was convenient and adequate for breakfast. Room was close to the road and road noise is noticeable in the morning.

Beautiful place and very comfortable. The staffs are very helpful and attentive. The coffee machine, I mean this was a wow for me. It makes really good coffee, latte, hot chocolate and other things.

Very well maintained. Clean rooms with windows that allow sufficient light. Ample charging points. I dont like the sliding bathroom door concept with no latch. The lounge has a great coffee machine and a good variety of packed food available for purchase through self-checkout. They don’t serve breakfast. There is a nice cafe nearby just across the street serving good food. Front desk staff is really humble and polite. They are very knowledgeable about the area and helped me to plan my trip to Big Sur very well. Ample amount of parking space.

Only stayed here one night but it was just what we needed. Clean property and room. Room was also spacious and comfortable. Easy check-in process. There is a microwave and coffee machine in the lobby available for use. Would stay here again.

My family and I loved this hotel. Our 3 year old was happy to run around our spacious room. The hotel was immaculately clean and room serviced cleaned up every day for us. The hotel staff were so nice and helpful. They have a great convenience store with all the essentials and food. Location was between both locations for our trip to Santa Cruz and Monterey bay aquarium. We would absolutely stay again.

A couple were given a room that they didn't like because it was too close to the road. But they used the bathroom and got dirt on one of the beds. They complained and got another room. It was after 10pm and the staff person just gave the room a quick look and then gave it to us. So, we got a room with dirt on one bed and a used bathroom.

I chose this property because it had high ratings for cleanliness but the room that I received did NOT have clean bedding. When I brought it up, staff provided clean sheets. While changing my own sheets I discovered further issue with the bedding as well as debris from the previous occupants on the floor. After making an additional complaint I was moved to a clean room. Pricing seemed fair for the area and while the issue was resolved I would rather choose to pay a little more next time and receive better customer care (and clean room).

Check-in was quick and easy, room was very clean, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. The property backs to Hwy. 1, and with the walls being as thin as they are it’s really noisy with all the traffic. The motel itself wasn’t too loud, but once again with the walls/ceiling being so thin you could hear everything.

The Inn was too close to Hwy1. There was constant road noise. Felt like we were sleeping in middle of Highway. First hotel I have been to that provided ear plugs.

Lovely place but the lack of sound proofing in the rooms and being right next to a busy freeway made it hard to get rest. This along with a bed that was very soft and a frame that was very shaky. I don't think we will be back.

Very new and updated. Very spacious room. We loved the extra sink and extra room for our luggage. Highly recommend this Inn. Lots of room for a child to play.

Although the side of the hotel has its name, and it is lit up, it's not easy to figure out how to get there in the dark. Our room had windows that face the highway, which isn't that far away. There was noticeable highway noise, but we slept OK.

Close to Carmel/Monterey but far enough to enjoy the beach @ a reasonable price. HWY is busy but inside the room, relatively quiet. Large spacious room, very clean & modern.

I locked my key in my room on accident, now i cant get back in until a staff member shows up to go to work!... sitting in my car, freezing!..

Everything about the property and room was amazing super clean and updated parking is very accessible. My only main concern is the customer service/desk was locked out of my room at 7 AM and there was no one at the desk. I had to wait outside for about an hour, and it seems that this is A problem that happens often spoke with another customer saying that they were locked out of their room at 2 AM and it took them a couple hours to get someone they have number to call but I have to call at least a good 30 times until someone answered other than that, everything was amazing

Do not expect ANYTHING from the front desk or hotel manager. If you encounter any issues, they will just say that they cannot get a hold of the manager, and supposedly they’ll have the manager call you. This was the run-around I got when we were put in Room 107, right next to the mechanical/laundry room, where there is a very loud and irritating humming, pulsing sound on and off every few minutes all night long. Do NOT let them put you in ROOM 107. There should not be a guest room next to all that equipment – because it is NOT A PLACE TO SLEEP. The front desk is not attended after 10PM, and no one was even there in the morning. So we were not able to complain until afternoon (due to late check out after a Whale Watch with Blue Ocean = Excellent!). Hotel housecleaning staff confirmed that the noise in room 107 is very loud, and the man at the front desk acted sympathetic. He said he would refund our late-check out fee, but he DID NOT. And he said he would have the manager call us about the issue, but no one ever called. The night of NO SLEEP was bad enough, but the customer service proved to be the worst. I called the hotel 6 times trying to resolve the issue, before I filed a complaint with Hotels.com. Apparently, the manager also avoided talking to Hotels.com, so they couldn’t help me either. Now I have made a claim with my credit card company. AVOID.

Friendly helpful staff

We arrived in the middle of the night. No one was available to check us in. No one answered the phone. We could not get in. We slept in the car.

The motel is located next to a busy 2 lane section of US-1. Given that, it is quiet with the windows closed. Walking distance to 2 restaurants and great acess to a wonderful estuary.

Very clean and convenient for Whale watching stay off of Moss Landing. Also convenient as it's between Monetery and San Jose

Perfect place to stay for whale watching out of Moss Landing. Clean and comfortable accommodations and walking distance to the marina.

Easy parking, easy access to hwy 1. There are also a couple good dining options within walking distance. Property is right on hwy 1 so there is traffic noise.

Great big clean room. Very good bed. Restaurants near the hotel were surprisingly good! (Thai and Breakfast) Close to the harbor where we saw sea otters and other animals.

Lovely spacious room, good location to explore surrounding area. Next to a cemetery was a bit strange but our room had amazing views over the slough

Cute, clean, hotel in a charming location, with comfy beds, and with friendly staff and free, safe parking. I loved seeing dolphins, sea otters, seals, seagulls, pelican, and other diving sea birds from the Fish -n-Chips spot just down the way. Sunset was lovely with a tangerine sky and gentle waves. And, affordable too! What a gem! I hope to return!

Hotel was great but not much around the hotel for dining options.

Super quick stay midway between relatives and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We’d love to return to Moss Landing itself and do some exploring. The Moss Landing Cafe was an excellent place right nearby for breakfast.

Check in was quick and easy. We love the expresso machine in the lobby, and the eco friendly cups and utensils.
