Overall quiet, booked a pet room . Hotel sits a little off the highway. No breakfast but coffee & tea available & have snacks &drinks in a little store. Have laundry and work out room. Not sure but seemed like some people mY be staying there on a ling term basis. There is a pet walking area on the side. The rooms have a kitchen, fridge, microwave, toaster. Very convenient

If price is the deciding factor this place works. It is not the most spotless place I have ever stayed and slightly dated but it is secluded (quiet) and conveniently located. The $5 per day parking fee is a joke, I pay much more in NYC, Ft. Lauderdale, Vail ect. but come on in Morris Plains NJ don't nickel and dime people.

Everything was fantastic from start to end. The reception staff were incredibly friendly as check in and check out. The room was spotless and spacious. The lobby was clean. Location is fantastic, too. It's near the highways, but also in a quiet area. I would definitely stay there again.

As soon as you walk into the hotel there is an odor. There was also a strange smell in my room. My bed skirt was also dirty and had a stain on in. Disappointed because it seemed like it would be nice.

I have stayed at this hotel before and had a pleasant experience, which is why I chose to stay here again for a longer period this time. Unfortunately, my recent stay was disappointing. The room I was given had a strong, unpleasant odor from the moment I entered. I reported this issue multiple times, and while the staff assured me they sprayed the room while I was out, the smell persisted, and all my clothes absorbed the odor. I requested a room change, but was told the hotel was fully booked. Additionally, the door to my room did not function properly and was difficult to open. I would have been happier if they had provided me with a different room.

The front desk staff were great! Rest of the things horrible. Roaches, black mold in the shower, person who cleaned the room took a long time & not friendly at all. Carpets were dirty, no continental breakfast, limited food items to buy & expensive. Parking lot was not cleaned well, people smoking in their rooms could be smelt in the hallway, people smoking right outside the doors so you have to pass through a puff of smoke. Dogs barking in the hallway. Need I go on?!

Been having a bit of difficulty here at the property . When I first checked in the bathroom I noticed hair all over the bathroom walls as well as the bathtub. Afterwards I used the dishwasher to wash out my plates and the dishwasher started to leak. Also as advertised free washing and drying. The laundry room does not work so of a family of 5 coming an hour away from the hotel I was forced to bring wet dirty clothes back home. Unfortunately my stay was not pleasant at all . I reached out to the front desk they just disregarded my troubles and asked me what is management Going to do about my trouble here at Sonesta suites , why should the manager know about this . And I replied because it needs to be fixed.

We checked in at 5pm and checked out at 11pm. The room seemed damp and smelly. The HVAC was some Rube Goldberg contraption...but it did work. We left because the person above us kept pacing the floor until we couldn't take it. [Wood floors are terrible!]

Stayed one night while passing through the area. The room was clean and spacious with a mini kitchen set up including a fridge and microwave. The bed was clean and comfortable. There were good food options to choose from nearby. We chose Tommy's tavern and tap and would highly recommend. Overall this stay provided us the comfort, rest, and refuel we needed to get back on the road. We would stay again for sure.

Staying here was amazing, parking was always easy, the room was spacious and clean, the amenities were perfect, having an onsite laundry room was such a major convenience, and the price was an amazing deal for travelling with my spouse and dog. This hotel is definitely going to be our go-to the next time we visit family in NJ.

Cute, cozy, and rooms are spacious. Plenty of areas to hang your items, or store them in drawers. Nice kitchen area in the studio suite I booked. Cooking (if I cared to do so lol) was made easy with a stove top, cabinetry storing dishes made available, dishsoap/washcloths, kitchen sink, and apartment sized refrigerator to store food. The scenery outside is surrounded by beautiful trees, and hidden off a side street from the main traffic & a convenient full-serve gas station just a turn of the corner away. Three complaints I have are when I first checked in with this being a “pet friendly” hotel, my floor’s hallway leading to my room smelled like urine. By the next day it was gone. When you walk or anyone does on the hallway floors, it sounds as if you’re stomping like the big green giant. It will startle you/irritate when trying to rest at night and someone is walking by. Lastly, most of my stay it was quiet until the very last night where the people directly above sounded like they were going to come through the floor as hard (or as weak) as the floors were above. Luckily they stopped moving by the time I needed to sleep. Other than that, the stay was lovely enough.

The manager entered my room while I was sleeping and again when I was at work the next day and rummaged through my personal belongings. I was wrongfully accused of smoking in the room and charged a fee for nothing. Will never stay with Sonesta again. Extremely creepy that they enter your room while sleeping.

When my business takes me to the Morris Plains area, I stay at Sonesta Simply Suites. It is in a safe area. The staff is very pleasant. It is well taken care of, very clean. It is right next to a couple of highways, and is a good location for eating establishments.

Saw a little mold in the bathroom wall surrounded tub. No ice machines. Coffee maker didn’t work, worker couldn’t change coffee bag because she had arthritis my husband had to do it. No breakfast included. At cost if room at least a continental breakfast should have been included.
