Occidental Torremolinos Playa

Good hotel, quiet clean room, big pool area, excellent breakfast with many healthy options. Gym was a bit small if many people working out, but you'll manage. You also need to wait in line and ask key from reception to get there every day, but maybe it's because otherwise it would be too crowded. Walking distance to train station. Overall nice with the price I payed.

I stayed in a suite and it was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was impressive (though crowded) and the grounds were enormous and seem like a dream come true for a family with children, with two huge swimmings pools, a water park, putt putt and more. The location across the street from a huge beach and many shops and restaurants is also ideal.

Tolles, modernes und sehr großes Hotel in Torremolinos. Die Zimmer sind in top Zustand, das Essen wirklich lecker und wahnsinnig große Auswahl (wenn doch auch das eine oder andere wärmer sein könntr, aber bei dem großen Buffet wohl schwierig). Es gibt einen kleinen Fitnessraum, 2 Pools und vom Strand ist man nur durch eine zu überquerende Straße getrennt. In den Ort Torremolinos kann man in etwa 45 Minuten reinlaufen, es gibt wohl abef auch Busse. Insgesamt ist das Umfeltd sehr touristisch und ich habe das Hotel stellenweise auch als recht laut empfunden (z.B. durch All Inclusive Urlauber mit Bier und eigener Musikbox am Pool), aber für einen klassischen Strandurlaub/All-In-Urlaub bietet das Hotel alles, was man sich wünschen könnte. Ich habe mich auch als Alleinreisende sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt.

Great huge resort on the beach. Good fitness area, plenty of beach lounge chairs, good bars and live entertainment!

As a family of four we had a lovely stay at this hotel. The pools and water features for the kids were great. The staff are excellent and so helpful. We had the included breakfast and it was probably one of the best I've ever had. The range of food was fantastic!! Overall we had an amazing time!!

Un hôtel 4 étoiles que je mettrai perso 4 étoiles supérieur. Les repas bon malgré une offre all inclusive faible. Infrastructure adapté aux familles et couples. Attention piste mini golf a refaire

Ideally suited to families with children, large shallow pool, water park, games areas etc and yards from the beach - but as a couple, less suitable. Local restaurants ‘average’ and pool too shallow to swim

Clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff, buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. Swimming pool lovely and pool bars great. Wide range of activities on site and really close to the beach

just to confirm, the property doesn’t really look like it does in the images. the “premium” rooms are like a uk travel lodge. we paid for the premium rooms and turned up and they’re like butlins blocks. rooms were not very well kept. i went with my 3 year old son and it cost 2300 for a week, when arrived they told us it was only breakfast included and we needed to pay for food as our 2300 premium package was breakfast only and not all inclusive. the kids waterpark had a slide that was blocked off and broken for the full week the room had plenty of things broken in it, no iron, no kettle or tea/coffee facilities. the crazy golf is totally wrecked, holes in the concrete literally the size of footballs breakfast is the same each day, nothing changes it certainly doesn’t look like the images so keep this in mind the reception is nice and clean, that’s about it

Room was dirty

Had a lovely week’s stay at the hotel. Staff were very friendly and happy to help. The whole place was spotless. The grounds and gardens were neat and well maintained. Two beautiful pools with plenty of sun loungers, plus a nice little gym available to use too. Amazing food, great variety, always fresh and different each night. Very clean restaurant with great staff and we especially loved the cute little birds that fly in and out. If you have a full sea view room then bear in mind you’re above the stage area, but entertainment finishes by 11:15pm and then it’s quieter. Rooms are fresh and nicely decorated with a TV and a good size bathroom plus a very big balcony, which was an added bonus. Great promenade to walk along right outside along the beach too. Would definitely recommend!!

Excellent stay. The place is spotless and any issues will be dealt with quickly by the staff. Wonderful hotel. They made sure we had a great time.

Would not recommend! Firstly when we came to the hotel we noticed our room had really bad smelling and still air and it seemed to come back everytime when we didn't have our Windows open. Then we started noticing birds Inside the restaurant which was the first Red flag. After that we started seeing them eating from the buffets and the staff seemed to do nothing about that. At dinner we also started noticing that there were bird poop on the stools Inside the restaurant and the Last straw for us was when bird literally pooped on our table while we were eating... After that we started trying to get a refund from the hotel from our travel Agency. First when they contacted the hotel staff they denied the bird problem and we had to get picture and video footage from the restaurant and only after that they admitted it. Then when we were at the checkout one of hotel managers came to talk to us and apologise the bird problem and said they've tried everything to get rid of the birds which was a lie because I saw Nobody from the staff even trying to get the birds out or anything which made me think that the problem had been there for a long time... Also why at first then deny the problem when we tried to get the refund? Also got diarrhea and spend the night on toilet what a lovely way to start the vacation.

Lovely hotel, well kept and clean. Check in experience could be better but overall we had a brilliant time and would return

Zimmer wurde jeden Tag gereinigt , Personal war super freundlich , ruhiges Apartment , Strand direkt vor dem Hotel .

Väldigt besviken då jag bott på Occidental Fuengirola som är toppen. Inte så rent, riktigt ofräsch balkong. Otroligt mycket folk vid frukosten! Hög ljudnivå samt fåglar (!) som flög runt inne i restaurangen…Dock trevlig tjej i receptionen som hjälpte mig boka taxi vid utcheckning.

Das Hotel ist leider eher ein 2,5 Sterne Hotel. Die Zimmer in den hinteren Häusern sind veraltet und schmutzig. Im Zimmer laufen Ameisen ähnliche Insekten rum die aus dem Badezimmer kommen. Am Pool ist morgens gleich eine Schlange und alle liegen werden per Handtuch reserviert, sodass man Mittags keine Chance mehr hat eine Liege am Pool zu bekommen. Das Essen ist dafür aber sehr gut. Es muss unbedingt an der Sauberkeit gearbeitet werden. :(

Clean in all areas

The pool area and reception spotlessly clean. Be aware this is a very large complex so reception area (the only indoor area to relax after dinnner) did feel like grand central station with lots checking in and checking out. Not enough places to sit. The hotel facilitates conferences and events so can be noisy and very busy. I felt there were just too many people for the facility space they had. The pool area at the front was full all day and people queued at the restaurant in the evening. This surprised me as we were low season outside of holidays yet in April the place was packed with kids. Not a problem for a family hotel but I feel Barcelo marketed their hotel on their website as a relaxed environment, a place to kick back in. Be aware this is not the case. It was chaos most of the time at the pool. We all like to have fun but as two friends travelling without children it didn’t make for the holiday we thought we would get. That’s not the reason for just 4 stars. You drink out of plastic at the pool-this is understandable but I don’t want to drink out of scratched plastic in the restaurant. We paid for the balanese beds at the pool whilst other people didn’t. Shower hot/cold That’s the grumble done, positives the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive. My junior suite was huge and kept spotless by housekeeping. The grounds are well kept and it right opposite the beach. You are at one of the furthest points to central Torremilinos but we walked and used taxis.

Die Zimmer mit Meerblick sind sehr klein und laut da die Shows gerade vor dem Zimmer stattgefunden haben.

Lovely hotel. Great value. Room was a little noisy and by that, I mean the noise coming in from the communal corridor and from outside my balcony in to the room. My only real complaint as the rest of the hotel was kept very well, with great facilities.

We rented a suite for our honeymoon. There were no lights or tv in the living room. The attendant who helped carry our luggage to the room was told about it and it was never fixed. Upon departure asked the front desk for help with our luggage and was told they do t help with luggage. Told front desk about no lights in the living room abd they did not care about that either.

Fint hotell, precis intill stranden. Bra mat för att vara Allinclusive. Vi valde halvpension och är nöjda. Vackert på hotellområde och rent och snyggt runt poolen. Max 10 min med bil till flygplatsen. Vi fick tyvärr ett slitet hotellrum med skav på väggar, trasig fog och mosaik i duschen och hållaren till toalettpappret trasig. Vattenrören går i väggen vid sängen och höll oss vakna i två nätter då det var något fel hos grannen ovanför. Vi fick felanmäla två gånger. En trevlig vaktmästare fixade tillslut problemet och vi kunde sova gott efter det. Balkongen var gammal och sliten och städas inte. Det var dock välstädat i rummet och sköna sängar. Det står vid bokning att rummen är ljudisolerade. Även på detta rummet. Men det stämmer inte. Det är samma tunna väggar som på de flesta spanska hotell. Vi kunde höra vad grannarna sa till varandra. Så vänligen ta bort beskrivning om ljudisolering. Sammanfattningsvis är vi nöjda med hotellområdet och dess utbud i stort, men vi är besvikna på rummets standard och lyhördheten. Text och bilder på hemsidan visar ca 100 bilder på nyrenoverade rum och balkonger och vårt var inte det. Det stod inte att vi bokade ett rum av sämre kvalitet. Om det var så, är det viktigt att skriva det på hemsidan. Vi är vana resenärer som har rest mycket och vi känner oss lurade på rumstandarden. Vi hade gärna åkt tillbaka om vi visste att vi blev garanterade ett nyrenoverat rum motsvarande bilder och beskrivning på hemsidan.

Our room was veryyy small, but OK. Bed was fine. The room was right above a very noisy area, and the noise didn’t stop until we’ll after midnight! Food area was good. This is an all inclusive resort, only buffet style dining. Beach resort.

Hotel is well situated but the rooms are tired and we had to call maintenance out multiple times for air con not working and door handles falling off. Reception didnt care. However the bar staff were so lovely and the food was really good.

Mir hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen. Alles ist renoviert und sehr sauber. Auch die Außenanlage wurde täglich gepflegt. Es gab an den beiden Pool gebpgend Liegen, da auch noch eine große Wiese daneben vorhanden ist mit Liegen. Das Essen am Buffet hat sehr gut geschmeckt und es gab reichlich Auswahl. Zwei Minuspunkte habe ich: das WLAN hat in meinem Zimmer nicht funktioniert und auch auf Nachfrage konnte hier nichts behoben werden. In der restlichen Anlage hat es aber gut funktioniert. Zudem ist um das Hitel gerum leider nichts los und es gibt keine Shopping Möglichkeiten.

Lovely hotel. Quiet location. Planes/airport didn't bother us. Food was average, lack of fresh cooked vegetables, it was either greasy or fried veg. Meat cuts were poor quality. Restaurant staff were lovely and attentive. There were regularly empty cups around the pool. The worst thing for us was the unhelpful staff at front desk. They put us in a tiny room (2 ad, 2 ch). There was a sofabed behind the door, no room for cases, the air con didnt work and the tv was in the walkway to the bathroom, this was in the village area. I went to reception and they argued with me that there were no rooms available but I searched their own website for the length of our stay and there were at least 4 rooms available, I'd even said I would pay to upgrade. They said check out of that room in the morning and they'd put us in the hotel block. So thats what we did, at 11am they told us to come back at 2pm to collect new room key. I went back at 2pm and they said they were moving us to the same size room but on level 2 so it has a balcony. This was not what was agreed. They said there was no space in the hotel block and that the hotel was fully booked. I showed them their website and showed them the picture of the room I booked, and then they finally agreed to move us to the hotel blocks, so they weren't full. I don't understand what the issue was to be honest. Asked for a late check out on 4 separate occasions, for our request to be rejected at 9.30am on departure day. Disappointing.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted to the afternoon we left we received excellent friendly service especially from Jose and Juan on reception. They made sure our stay was great. Good choice felt breakfast. Direct access to the promenade and beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Har aldrig haft så lång incheckning någonsin otroligt dåligt Wi-Fi frukost och middag ganska bra men här har vi varit två gånger första och sista

Everybody in the hotel were very friendly. Starting from lovely greeting in reception through cleaners, lifeguards, barmans, maintanance and dining staff. Rooms and hotel were very clean, meals and drinks delicious. I will deffinitely come back again.

Hemskt kösystem och personalen i receptionen verkade inte kunna så mycket!

Check-in was a nightmare and the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. Also tried to tell me I hadn’t paid in advance when I had. Disco underneath my window kept me up. Room was ok though.

The property itself is very good, not much shops around , besides a few restaurants along the cost and within 10 Minutes you go be in the main shops by the center of town - but definitely recommend for a nice place to stay

A lovely well kept hotel, rooms are clean, service is good, food has a good selection. Would definitely recommend. Is however in a quiet area with a long walk or a taxi journey into Torremolinos or Malaga.

Nice clean room. The hotel had everything we needed and the location was great! The train station was just a short walk away which made it very convenient to travel around

Eine sehr schöne weitläufigen Anlage zwischen Torremolinos und dem Flughafen. Bus und Bahn in paar Gehminuten erreichbar.

Great location for the beach. Also very close to train station to get to Malaga and Belamendia.

What a lovely hotel! We had an All Inclusive package and it was great. The food was probably the best I’ve ever had in an all inclusive - really varied and plentiful. There was a really good range of drinks included too, all branded spirits and good cocktails. The staff were lovely and the hotel was impeccably clean and well-maintained.

Generally good time. Biggest plus: location, pools, room and beach Biggest minus: food - rather boring, repetitive and feels like defrosted (not self-made). Spain is not a buffet/all-inclusive country. Bonus: Very good massage service, one of the best I have had in the hotel.

We stayed all inclusive. The food and drink options were great and the food was really nice. The pool area is very nice and the hotel is very close to the beach. We didn’t walk down into the town so can’t comment on how close or nice the local bars and restaurants are.

All the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great range of branded drinks at the bar.

The nightly entertainment is loud enough to be quite disturbing in most rooms, which would benefit from some form of sound reduction. Otherwise my stay was relatively pleasant. The breakfast buffet was quite good, but lunch/dinner really weren't worth it. More a menu based or la carte dining options on the property would be helpful.

Nice property in a quiet area of nice beaches not over crowded. Food was a bit the same each day not much variation. Chips often not cooked well

Detta boende hade bra faciliteter men läget hade inte mycket at erbjuda förutom en fin strand. Maten, både frukost och särskilt middagen var katastrofal. Vi är inte kräsna av oss men efter att ha betalat 30 euro per person för att få en mycket dålig middagsbuffé som inte är ätbar blir man missnöjd.
