This property has been so beautifully and thoughtfully designed. Philippe was so hospitable and warm, he made us feel like we were at home. We had an outdoor fire one night and in the mornings I sat on the private deck and meditated. The outdoor shower was incredible and the grounds were impeccable. I can’t wait to visit again once the pool is finished in a few months. I can’t say enough good things about Casa Michaus.

un excelente lugar para quedarse!! solo tiene 4 habitaciones increiblemente bonitas y de buen gusto., La propiedad tiene una alberca muy bonita con todo lo necesario para pasar un dia increible. Tiene fogatero y terraza con techo y mesa donde nos servian diario cafe y pan recien hecho ademas de fruta y algunas otras cosas. Felipe el dueno todo el tiempo estuvo al pendiente de nosotros y nos atendieron espectacular. Sin duda regresaria siempre ahi y lo recomiendo ampliamente!!

Felipe and the staff were extremely hospitable. The rooms have a rustic comfort with many amenities and the property is quaint and easy to access. We occupied the four rooms/casitas so we had the whole place to ourselves! They even have a couple of friendly dogs who would love treats (so bring some for your arrival!)

Unique architecture design with a stunning rural view. Owner was present when I arrived, who was beyond attentive. He allowed me To charge and connect my personal Mobil Charge. Breakfast was simple and delicious.

Owner and staff were perfect, you get a remote to open gate from street and park inside compound, two big dogs will insure your car is safe and secure! Small pool and sitting area outside are nice. If you like modern architecture, you will be happy. Dirt roads also mean you will need a carwash when you get home, but its worth it. Did I mention the outside shower option? 2 showers in your room, try the outside one! Fresh bread and juice brought to you in the morning was a nice touch. Nice bedding too in rooms. I don't often do a review but this one is as close to a 10 as you can get in the Valle.

Amazing property! We loved this stay! The views from the room were beautiful and the complimentary breakfast was such a nice touch. We went in winter so we didn’t use the pool much but it was nice to lounge in the sun next to it and read and relax. Great location as it was close to lots of great vineyards. The owner was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!

The property is beautiful. Felipe, the host, was amazing and very attentive. The staff is very friendly and your room is cleaned daily. One bonus is their breakfast (granola, fruit, and yogurt bowl along with one of the most delicious warm pastry). Will highly recommend this place. It is centrally located so nothing in Valle De Guadalupe is too far. If possible, come in a truck or SUV as the dirt roads are a bit bumpy.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Michaus. Felipe was awesome and greeted us upon arrival and was responsive whenever we had any questions. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. For breakfast they brought to our room warm fig bread and yogurt parfait, the bread was amazing and such a nice touch! The property is completely gated so we felt very safe, also two dogs on property that were friendly as well! The Location was really good and close to a lot of food spots and winery. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Casa Michaus is such a special place! The rooms are gorgeous and the neighborhood is very quiet. Incredible hospitality and cleanliness. Ideal location in the Valle, highly recommend having a car to get around. Will definitely be coming back. Gracias Felipe, Patty & Bruno!!

Excelente atención y servicio por parte de Felipe. El lugar es muy bonito, muy cómodo, el pan que te ofrecen en el desayuno es delicioso. Sin duda alguna lo recomendaría, y definitivamente volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí.

In all my years of staying at hotels, I have never had the staff write me a passive-aggressive note...until now. I must have gotten some makeup on the pillowcase while taking a pre-dinner nap upon arrival. Because upon coming back from a hike the next day, there was a note in Spanish that basically read "Did you know: washing your face before bed is better for the health of your skin and our sheets!" Seriously? I'm being shamed for having rested for a few minutes pre-dinner w/o washing off what little makeup I had on after traveling just so I could put it back on for dinner? It wasn't enough that the place has multiple dogs that bark like crazy whenever guests arrive - even if it's at 2am. But then I get that note. So my friend goes to the owner to kindly discuss how inappropriate this was, and the owner ADMITS that he encourages the staff to leave notes about things the guests can do better to protect his hotel. Seriously?? I'm not in a rock band throwing a rager, I got a small stain on a pillow that I'm sure is going to come out w/ bleach. Furthermore, my friend said the owner would apologize to me directly, which he did not. Hence me leaving this review. Dear Felipe, the notes from your staff need to stop. No one on a romantic weekend at your hotel is doing anything so irreverent that they need to change. I must have gotten some makeup on the pillowcase while taking a pre-dinner nap upon arrival. Because upon coming back from a hike the next day, there was a note in Spanish that basically read "Did you know: washing your face before bed is better for the health of your skin and our sheets!" Seriously? I'm being shamed for having rested for a few minutes pre-dinner w/o washing off what little makeup I had on after traveling just so I could put it back on for dinner? It wasn't enough that the place has multiple dogs that bark like crazy whenever guests arrive - even if it's at 2am. But then I get that note. So my friend goes to the owner to kindly discuss how inappropriate this was, and the owner ADMITS that he encourages the staff to leave notes about things the guests can do better to protect his hotel. Seriously?? I'm not in a rock band throwing a rager, I got a small stain on a pillow that I'm sure is going to come out w/ bleach. Furthermore, my friend said the owner would apologize to me directly, which he did not. Hence me leaving this review. Dear Felipe, the notes from your staff need to stop. No one on a romantic weekend at your hotel is doing anything so irreverent that they need to change. The property is beautiful. Felipe, the host, was amazing and very attentive. The staff is very friendly and your room is cleaned daily. One bonus is their breakfast (granola, fruit, and yogurt bowl along with one of the most delicious warm pastry). Will highly recommend this place. It is centrally located so nothing in Valle De Guadalupe is too far. If possible, come in a truck or SUV as the dirt roads are a bit bumpy.

We had an amazing stay at Casa Michaus. Felipe was awesome and greeted us upon arrival and was responsive whenever we had any questions. The rooms were very clean and had everything you needed. For breakfast they brought to our room warm fig bread and yogurt parfait, the bread was amazing and such a nice touch! The property is completely gated so we felt very safe, also two dogs on property that were friendly as well! The Location was really good and close to a lot of food spots and winery. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!

Casa Michaus is such a special place! The rooms are gorgeous and the neighborhood is very quiet. Incredible hospitality and cleanliness. Ideal location in the Valle, highly recommend having a car to get around. Will definitely be coming back. Gracias Felipe, Patty & Bruno!!

Owner and staff were perfect, you get a remote to open gate from street and park inside compound, two big dogs will insure your car is safe and secure! Small pool and sitting area outside are nice. If you like modern architecture, you will be happy. Dirt roads also mean you will need a carwash when you get home, but its worth it. Did I mention the outside shower option? 2 showers in your room, try the outside one! Fresh bread and juice brought to you in the morning was a nice touch. Nice bedding too in rooms. I don't often do a review but this one is as close to a 10 as you can get in the Valle.

Amazing property! We loved this stay! The views from the room were beautiful and the complimentary breakfast was such a nice touch. We went in winter so we didn’t use the pool much but it was nice to lounge in the sun next to it and read and relax. Great location as it was close to lots of great vineyards. The owner was attentive and friendly. Highly recommended!
