Motel Luzerne

Cute cozy getaway with an a little private beachfront/ lakefront. (best to bring water shoes.) . Nice that there is a very clean pool on the property to the North (walk up the street). We also enjoy the use of the canoe, kayak and boat. A gem away from the crowds of Lake Georges and Saratoga Springs. Only a short drive about 20 minutes to Lake George for all the restaurants. Owners are super friendly and accommodating. Thank you, Mike and Pam for a lovely weekend getaway. We hope to visit again with our extended family the next time and rent the apartment on the property.

We had a wonderful stay at Motel Luzerne. The owner was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are recently renovated - clean, comfortable beds, streaming tv. The beachfront location is lovely with a nice swimming area with a dock, free use of kayaks and pedal boat, life jackets, picnic table, a grassy area to play, etc. It was chilly when we stayed, so my kids had a lot of fun in the heated pool. It was nice that pool towels were provided. There are a few buildings. We stayed in the building near the pool, which is not on the lake, but is a short walk to the lake area. Our building had a lot of stairs, so those with mobility issues will probably want to stay in the building on the lake. Both areas had renovated, cozy rooms. So, it's personal preference whether you want to be near the lake or near the pool. Lake Luzerne is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay, and my family is already talking about going back next year.

Nice cozy property, with newly renovated modern interior. Our queen suite fit our kids easily with the high quality sofabed. Has all the amenities you need like heated pool, its own beach with a lot of boating options, grills. The lake Luzerne itself is beautiful- quiet and lovely. Has a place for a bonfire, and the owners are hands on, usually available on site, and helpful. Bathroom size a bit smallish, well definitely be back.

The property has a lovely beach and has tons of water activities included. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved it so much, we extended our stay and are planning another trip.

We stayed in the Sunrise Kitchen. It's the only room that directly overlooks the lake. The pictures on theirs and other websites are exactly what you get. Everything was clean and well maintained. They have 2 grills avaliable and a fire pit as well some games to play as well like Connect 4 and Jenga. Although they say its a quick drive to get to either the property with the pool or property with the lake we walked and it was a 2 minute walk. We ate at the Vested Veteran Grill which is a 5 minute drive. It was very good. Overall a great place and would 100% stay again.

Love this little motel. Convent location and nice view of the lake. Lots of paddle and rowing options all for free. Had a great time in the lake and the pool was warm and newly renovated.

We had a girls trip last week (two 17 year olds) and two mom's. We rented the Family Suite and it was PERFECT! It was extremely clean, well lit and everything had obviously just been renovated. The kitchen had all new appliances. The beds were super comfortable with plenty of comfy pillows. Sheets were good quality and there were plenty of towels. The kitchen was well stocked if you wanted to cook. TV's were great and had Netflix etc. Shower pressure was good and lots of hot water. The small private beach area was perfect with lots of lounge and Adirondak chairs available as well as picnic table and fire pit. There were peddle boats and paddle boards available at no charge. Quiet lake with no motor boats, just very peaceful. We will definitely return was a lovely place and so close to Lake George Village and the outlets/restaurants.

The heated pool was very nice, could have used a vacuum but was overall nice. The lake property was extremely well kept and fun. Rooms are a bit weathered but clean, beds wildly uncomfortable. Have not seen a single staff member, check in is through a text. Overall pretty good for the price, the lake view is worth it alone.

Property was ok the free kayaks and boats to take out on lake is best thing about the property.

We loved our stay at the lakeview room! It was very clean and had everything my friend and I needed to be comfortable! The staff even went out of their way to accommodate us with a fan when asked :) The canoe, kayaks, SUP's and paddleboat are a very nice touch! There was a firepit and supplies for a nice evening fire as well! Great stay at a childhood favorite location~ Thank you!

The beds are comfy and the room has good air conditioning/heating. The door has a lock that's easy accessible wirelessly via phone. The bathroom was clean but there was a noticeable smell of urine when we first used it. Parking can be tough especially during the night. Also I wasn't informed that they have a northside branch (where my room was assigned) which doesn't have the beachfront/lakeview. I initially thought all rooms are next to the beachfront as pictured. Although it can be still accessed and walkable from the northside branch. It would be good to accurately describe the access to the beachfront experience for future guest. Overall the experience was still good!

Cabin was very clean. Checking in is a bit tricky if you don't know what building your in as there are 2 buildings but on separate properties. Other than that it was great. Thank you

The hotel has an absolutely beautiful view from the beach and the lake view rooms. We were able to watch eagles swooping and watch the sun rise over the lake. The rooms are super clean and well appointed, great showers, and firm comfy beds. Definitely a chill environment with nice staff. Absolutely love that it’s dog friendly because not many places in the area area. This is going to be one of my new go-tos.

We had a wonderful experience. The view from the beach was beautiful. Sunrises were spectacular. We found the room very clean and comfortable. Overall the motel, staff and location were perfect for us. We found the little kitchen convenient, the beds comfy and the location close to Saratoga Springs and Lake George. We were visiting family and for sure we will be back to Motel Luzerne in the future.

clean and amazing

Mosquitoes, front door sticks badly, a poorly functioning a/c unit that has gaps around it , pool was in adjacent property and was at an in appropriate temperature.. stains on ceiling tiles…

Room was spotless with new furniture. Mattress was comfortable. Good location right on the lake. Note to owner: A full length mirror would be a good addition.

Impressively clean and updated! The rain head shower was exceptional with great pressure.

There is a blue light around the property that stays on passed midnight that shines into the room that makes it harder to sleep. The shower only points in one direction.

The room had poor insulation. Very cold room. Front door lacked weather stripping. Noisy as walls are paper thin and our room was next to the highway. The hallway light stays on all night and no black out curtains. Motel is looking worn. Has room for improvement.

It was a nice clean room with comfortable beds. The shower wasn't the best due to the location of the showerhead, but overall it was a great room. I would definitely stay again.

Our room at the end of the motel overlooked the lake. It was wonderful waking up and looking out the huge picture window from our cozy bed. The motel has been busy updating and its a mixture of old and new, and everything is clean and functional. Our room had a comfy couch, a dining table, and kitchenette. Keurig with K-cups was provided. We had contactless check-in with a door code so never got to speak to the owners.

Our destination was Saratoga Springs and this was a half hour away. They were responsive in telling us we could check in automatically but failed to tell us there were 2 properties with the same name so we first went to the wrong one. Fortunately they picked up our call and redirected us. They have tried to modernize the room by painting everything white, except one wall. The result is sterile. The shower stall is tiny and looked unappealing because the paint didn’t stick. Andthe bed had a weird metal base that made a sound like thunder if you bumped into it. But the bed was okay and all the linens fresh. The room is large.

The owners did a fantastic job updating this property. The Mattresses and bedding were comfortable. The area is quaint and quiet. The check in was easy as we received our room number and door code via email/text. I was able to reach the front desk easily with questions and the staff was very helpful. The only drawback was that the walls were thin and we were disturbed by fighting neighbors.

The space was recently remodeled and it actually extremely nice. However, if you are on the pool side of the motel access to the lake isn’t easy it’s actually two separate motel buildings. The room doors stuck and you had to slam shut or slam open to be able to get them open which caused noise for other rooms. Check in and out was odd as no one was actually in the office to check in or out with so we received an email for electronic access to the room and check out we had to call to let them know we were leaving. Overall for a quick weekend it was a nice space and not far from plenty of attractions.

FALSE ADVERTISING: This property advertises "Motel Luzerne BEACHFRONT hotel in Lake Luzerne with free parking." NO WHERE does it tell the prospective renter, OR show in photos, that Northside rooms are NOT on the beach/lake. At NO POINT is there a disclosure on your reservation that your room is a Northside room and that the room YOU will be renting is NOT on the beach/lake. The beach/lake is a 500 ft. UNDISCLOSED walk from the Northside rooms. We spoke with other renters who had no idea their room was NOT on the beach/lake as well. Your view from the Northside rooms is a busy, noisy road VERY close to the property/rooms. The door to the room is NOT secure. The outdoor light is visible from inside the room through the door's side jamb that has the handle on it because of the wide gap between the door and the side jamb. VERY disappointed and angry OUR choice of where to use our hard earned money was taken away. Finding another place would be impossible with the annual Adirondack Nationals Car Show in Lake George that weekend in addition to the inability to afford it. We went away to destress and left with WAY more!

There was no front desk. No one to check you in. Room was still being cleaned at 3:00 checkin. Ad for motel made it seem like u could see the lake from all rooms but the only room you could see water from was the last one. Our view was a gross parking lot for $510 when we were under the impression we had a lake view. Very deceiving. Wouldn’t go back. No vent or AC in bathroom. No mirrors except for one small one in bathroom. Room wasn’t cleaned or tidied up in between nights. No new towels.

For some reason this place charged me over $300 a night when I booked it a few weeks back. Now the property is asking a little over $100 per night. We received a text message with our check-in info in the afternoon of our check-in day but when we showed up couldn't find out room. We called the main number and no one answered. When we finally got in the place smelled like mold, the AC was a small wall unit for the entire 2 rooms that smelled like cigarette smoke, most of the windows had no covering to the outside. The place was really poorly lit and had a tiny dark alley next to the living room which had an exposed window. There were bugs fliying around inside. The sofa bed was hardly a sofa bed. We stayed for five minutes and left to find another hotel. I sent a message to the management requesting reimbursement for our second night and they have still not responded. I would definitely never recommend that anyone stays at this place!!!

Pam was absolutely amazing! Our car broke down and she was very accommodating while we figured it out. Ended up having to stay for an extra night and she was so helpful! Thank you so much Pam and we will definitely be back to Lake Luzerne

Love this property. Stayed twice in 2 weeks and can’t wait to stay again. Admittedly the exterior needs some love. But the rooms are so clean and comfortable. The rates are good and Pam and Michael were there to answer any questions. They were very nice and attentive! The lake access is amazing. Enjoyed a nice glass of wine on one of the lakefront decks as the moon rose over the mountains in the distance and a nice cup of tea in the morning as the mist lifted from the lake. Highly recommend for a nice chill getaway

Upon reaching the motel and seeing the sign, I was wondering if I’d made a mistake. The sign is something out of a horror movie and is in need of some repair. The parking lot is definitely sufficient for the number of rooms, paved, and in good shape. I had received the code to the room (not key locks) before leaving so we were able to get into our room which was good because there was nobody in the office. The room itself was very clean, clearly renovated, and nicely decorated. It was not the highest quality renovation but definitely nice. There were 2 bedrooms (I booked the suite so we could have a separate space from the teenage girls), a living room, fully applianced kitchen, and a bathroom. Air conditioners were running throughout so the suite was comfortable. Our bedroom had a full size bed and the girls’ room had 2 full size beds. Each room and the living room had wall mounted flat screen tv’s. The motel is right on the lake and outside amenities included small boats (no motors), a floating dock to swim to, roped off swimming area, fire pit, lounge chairs, 2 barbecue grills, and some patio games. We were only there the night as a stop over so we didn’t partake in any outdoor activities. When we left, there was nobody in the office, so I guess that checkout was just understood. I haven’t received any communication or final receipt either. I would stay here again if passing through but the price was a bit high for just passing through.

We enjoyed on stay. It’s a very relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful lake. There’s a beach and waterfalls less than 4 minutes walk.

Loved our weekend at Motel Luzerne -having traveled into Lake George for a 5K, I seem to have found the perfect location, less than 10miles up the road from everywhere we needed to be. Our room was clean, quiet and had THE MOST AMAZING view of the lake. Looking forward to our next trip to the Adirondacks and post-run dip in the lake!

Over all it's a beautiful place. The highway is very very busy and the cars FLY by. Confusing check in not knowing it was two sperate properties. One is poolside and one is lake front. They are two buildings apart. Even worker was confused and couldn't call the owner due to cell signal. Was fixed easily but better property instructions in listing would help!

This was our first family trip to the Lake Luzerne/Lake George area. The family suite was a perfect fit for our family of 7! Highly recommend Motel Luzerne to anyone who enjoys a clean, quiet, comfortable and an aesthetically pleasing place to stay. Our family thoroughly enjoyed having lake access as well as a heated pool. We spent most of our time grilling, fishing, boating and swimming! 10/10 - We will back in the near future for another stay! Thank you for making our 2025 family vacation enjoyably comfortable!

The room were nicely decorated and modern. We loved our 1 bedroom with living room unit. It was comfortable and spacious. We loved the contactless check-in and check-out. The lake right at the property with private access was very nice. We're pretty happy with the equipment provided (SUP, canoes, kayaks). Doing s'mores right by the lake at night was really fun. All the activities we booked (rail bike, whitewater rafting, ropes course) were all a few minutes away. Dining options were a bit limited but if you drive 15min north to Lake George, there are plenty of options!

Wonderful, peaceful property on a small, clean lake. Ideal for mature couples and solo travelers. Rooms are simple but very nicely renovated, and the new owners have made some nice upgrades. Friendly, helpful and easygoing staff. Not an ideal location for those looking to dine out or shop. PERFECT for those just looking to unwind, relax and enjoy the beauty of the Adirondacks. For travellers trying to get away from the stress of work and city life and live simply, I rate it a 10+, on a 1-10 scale. I had a wonderful experience there!

The area itself is so beautiful. The staff was very kind, accommodating and helpful. I had a wonderful time and can’t wait to come back! There’s plenty of hiking trails nearby, food options, lots of stuff to do. Thanks for having me as your guest!
