Room has a kitchen but no utensils and unlike other studio hotels, management won't provide dishwasher soap. When we asked for it, they said we provide it. Hot water was not coming in kitchen sink and access card stopped working all of sudden before checkout time. Overall, poor maintenance and disappointing experience.

Place is kept up very nicely looks new and very comfortable. It was a plus with a medium size fridge has an electric mini stove top with a sink. Atmosphere is very warming and staff very friendly. Has a continental breakfast but wish they had some kind of meat and eggs. Butnit covers the basics. Would definitely return if i go to surf side. Just minutes awayfrom the beach.

Clean, refrigerator did cool, everything in perfect condition.

The area is new, sheets are clean, very giving for the price. Had a fridge, nice lighting and direct tv. I plan to come and stay again! I have favorite restaurants that I like to visit when in the area and will come again!

No Pool and No Breakfast

We came to stay to avoid a direct hit from Hurricane Beryl. However, Beryl hit Freeport as well as other communities for miles around. This was no fault of the hotel of course. Again, no fault of the hotel was no power which made the room very hot and the humidity very high ( made the floors wet and slippery).The entire city and surrounding areas were gravely affected.The manager was so pleasant and accommodating. She kept us informed of any news about the power.The housekeeper was great also. We have stayed at this hotel a couple of times before especially when we had to move temporarily out of our house. We had an excellent stay and.our stays have been several days at a time. We will go back if we need a hotel nearby.

This is a great low cost, no frills motel. The beds were great in both of our rooms and we had everything we needed. I did hear trains in the night as I don’t sleep well. My wife said she didn’t notice them at all, my son and his wife didn’t mention it either. We will definitely stay here again.

The building itself was kept in good condition as it was a newer motel with updated facilities. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great, the room coffee maker was good, and the hard floors made it easy to keep clean during our stay. I give it an extra "star" for the toiletries it provided during our stay. The TV offered Direct TV with unlimited channels. Though it\'s slightly off the beaten path, it has a Mexican restaurant next door which serves EXCELLENT food. We always ordered ours to go as we have a dog to look after and ate in our room. Our visit was to enjoy a little fishing and beach and it did not disappoint. It does have a little (very little) breakfast area, but you\'re truly missing out on the restaurant next door!! The grounds are kept and has room to walk your dog and keep it safe at the same time. I would stay here again with no problem!

The hotel was really nice and beautiful. It was exceptionally clean.

Smells terrible and there are flies everywhere.

First room sheets were stained, second room had to be cleaned while we waited.

Didn’t change sheets for the 5 nights we were there. Arrived and there was stains and dirt all over mattress and sheets. Black mold on trim

Property looks to be new or newly renovated. Unfortunately, the toilet had dried poop on the outside of the rim. The towels had deep stains. The sheets and the comforter were both nasty stained with blood and other disgusting bodily fluids. Replace the sheets or properly wash and disinfect them; this was disgusting. Breakfast Items were extremely limited. We're out of coffee for three consecutive days and they had NO attendant at the front desk. They were out of milk for the cereal as well. They had bagels but no cream cheese. They had a fruit basket but no fruits.

Location was good for our fishing trip. The room was clean but the bathtub did not drain properly, the sheets were worn, the hair dryer was not working and the coffee pot was missing. The coffee was like tar and the food options very basic.

Dead bugs in sink , hair everywhere, no soap , no shampoo , pillow case amd sheets dirty. I didn't even stay the second night.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, the room was clean and reasonably priced.

No working phone in room, no body shower soap, no hand soap in bathroom sink dispenser

the room had too much humidity

Checkin was fast and the attendant was very nice. The beds were clean and comfortable. When each of us took a shower, water backed up in the tub and when we used the bathroom sink water backed up in the sink also. We saw 3 or 4 roches in the room. I reported these issues when we checked out but I'm not sure the gentleman cared about the issues.

This property is brand new and everything looked pretty and clean. I really wanted to like it. The bed mattress was comfy but the covers were flimsy. The shower was good. Toiletries were pretty bare bones and instead of shampoo and conditioner in the shower, there were two bottles of shampoo. The fridge and microwave were nice. The main complaint was the paper thin walls. I really did not want to hear my neighbors concos, word for word and it was not possible to sleep past 7am which was rough since we’re musicians and didn’t get in until 2:30 from people making noise in adjoining rooms and out in the parking lot. Not that anyone was being loud or unruly, just no sound barrier from the walls. Will not stay here again.

We stayed here for the night due to business at the port. Room was nice, the beds were comfy, one did make a little noise when my son rolled over. But a good stay.

There was some sort of party in parking lot with cars and trucks playing super load music until 2:30 am Saturday night. Any of the other nights was peaceful though

Front desk was excellent in helping us. If you are going to surfside beach definitely recommend staying here.

Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was minimal. One of the rooms we rented the tv wasn’t working properly, we asked front desk to fix it but they did not. Also we ordered in one night and asked the front desk for plates, we are a family of 8 she gave 2 plates and was hesitant to give us more.

Need new staff who understand and remember to be positive and respectful when checking in and checking out guess

I strongly advise staying away! There are groups of people loitering on the stairs and in the parking lot at all hours of the night. During my first night, a fight broke out in the parking lot that required the intervention of three police cars. Less than 30 minutes later, the same individuals were fighting again. I reported the situation to the front desk, where I noticed small children wandering the stairways and parking lot, crying and looking confused. When I asked the front desk to call the police, they informed me that they were not allowed to do so. I requested to check out early and only be charged for one night, since I felt unsafe, but they declined my request. The bed sheets were dingy with yellow and black stained, and the entire room had a musty smell, as if it had been mopped with old water. The shampoo bottles were labeled as Dove, but contained a watered-down pink dish detergent. The body wash bottle was empty, forcing me to use that unpleasant pink substance. Avoid this place!

The man and woman who apparently manage the hotel are always in a back room, and are very slow to respond to the bell and come into the checkout desk area. The 'continental breakfast' has yogurts, bread, and eggo-like waffles, with a toaster. Also cereal, though I didn't see milk. When I was checking out, no one came to the desk after ringing the bell twice and waiting for two minutes, so I left the key cards and original checkin information and left.

Bad service, bad attitude. Breakfast bar not replenished. Had to ask for everything. Low replenish when asked for items that are cheap and keep people coming back. Very lack luster. Clean service at 5pm. So not clean when you got back from your day out. Just overall 2 star place!. Very noisy bar across street played music outside until 2am

Overall a nice place to crash for a decent price , the neighborhood isn’t much and there was some late night noise drama and police in the parking lot but of course that is to be expected for the area and price I suppose

Overall we like the location, affordability and cleanliness of this property. Suggestions would be to add little more to the breakfast like some fruit and peanut butter.
