Beautiful grounds. Clean place, clean and spacious room with the most comfortable bed. Great pool. Room needs where a text away and they were quick to reply. Close to shops and restaurants. Will stay here again.

Very relaxing. Ez in. Ez out. Pool was welcoming and refreshing. My dogs loved the place too. A slice of paradise in Comfort. We will definitely be back.

Nice, quiet location. Not a hotel. Walking path are gravel and hard to walk on much less pull a suitcase. Room was clean but very humid. Just stayed overnight.

Everything was so awesome here! Beautiful place, comfy bed, great people! The only little tiny thing is the parking by the street, especially if you are riding a motorcycle makes me nervous that someone will steal them. But it's a good area.

Have stayed at Meyer many times, always a wonderful experience. This time we were in rm 411, upstairs above the old dining hall. Had our own private screened in porch above the creekside meadow. Comfortable and clean room. Always enjoy the large clean pool with complementary towel service. And a quiet stay, as always. Many thanks, Meyer!

Very charming place. The hotel are multiple houses. Ours was a bedroom with a separate bath and living room complete with a fireplace. Beautiful back deck with barbecue pits and fire pits overlooking a creek in the distance. Grounds are well manicured. Nice large pool. Very quiet area.

Went for a quick get-away and it was perfect. Early in the week, and we had the place to ourselves. Had a little fire in the firepit that evening and watched the sun go down. Walking proximity to main spots in the historic downtown area. Great place to chill in Comfort.

Meyer Inn is located in a quiet scenic neighborhood off the highway which gave us convenient access to visit Fredericksburg Our room was clean, rustic, well kept and had plenty of space for my wife and I and our pup. Check in was easy and although we didn’t use the pool, it was clean and maintained very well.

What a wonderful ‘hidden gem’! We have been coming to the Hill Country for getaways for decades and had never ‘discovered’ this property, or, quite frankly, the entire city of Comfort … a place we had always just driven by on the Interstate. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds were absolutely amazing and we highly recommend that anyone staying here take a walk around the grounds and down to the river and enjoy the numerous deer and incredible huge, ancient ‘trophy’ trees! The City of Comfort was a welcome surprise, with some wonderful antique stores and excellent dining options, all within just a few minutes walk of the hotel. We also enjoyed the pool for a swim and some sunbathing. I’m not sure if I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that was more quiet than this property was. Oh, and they also provide complimentary use of their numerous outdoor fire-pits with kindling/starter kits and pre-cut wood! A great way to either end your day or start it in the morning, or both!

The place itself is cute, but my room had dead bugs all over the place. And I don’t mean just one or two, I mean literally hundreds of dead bugs. They were all over the bathroom floor, in the shower, and on the bedsheets. Basically any white surface, I could see tons of them. I thought it was tiny hairs at first all over, but no—it was tiny bugs all over. They were probably on the carpet, too, but the carpet was dark so I didn’t want to pay too close attention. Some of the bugs were still alive and would fly at me when I was trying to ge to bed. Not fun. If it weren’t for the bugs, this would be a great stay.

Enjoyed our one night stay. Check in was smooth, room was nice and clean. Will def be coming back.

The property was so neat. The staff was extremely nice!! We loved the little dining area and bright our takeout in there too eat dinner each night instead of in our room. Our stay was enjoyable. Only complaint would be things didn't feel as clean as I'd hoped. Our room had stuff splattered on the wall. Your feet felt dirty walking around on the floor with no shoes on. (Had to dust our feet off before getting into the bed) The bathtub felt grimy and felt like I should have had shower shoes with me. Under the bed was full of dust and trash..our pajamas fell under there one day and I dreaded having to put them on the sleep that night. The covers were very very soft, the bed was comfortable. Overall it wasn't terrible, mostly just cleanliness is what hurt the review the most. Every other aspect was great!

We have stayed at this location before and have had positive exeperiences in the past however, this time around, our experience was anything but positive. First, our reservation was canceled because although i had selected to pay at facility, apparently the facility mgnt attempted to bill me on an old cc that Hotels.com had on file. They also apparently tried to reach but dialed an incorrect area code. Kim was nice and pleasant and helped rebook my reservation over the telephone. The room itself was cute but felt extremely unsanitary with multiple visible stains on carpet and walls. Also, the room felt extremly humid and had a strong moldy/old smell to it that never fully went away. The shower head frm hell made us regret the option to shower and the noise for us was the worst part. With no mgnt or staff on site, guests are pretty muvh at the mercy of themselves and a bacholrette party booked on the villa next to us provided all the noise and rucus to ruin an entire weekend. We ended up packing our bags at 2am and decided to jst drive back home (5 hrs away) in hopes of getting some much needed rest. I would advise anyone looking to book to strongly consider what it is you're booking. The property caters to vintage and charm however, thats all.nice so long as the vintage doesnt cross the line into filthy and jst plain gross. The views are incredible and the property itself is very picturesque, jat be cafeful of which room you select and definitely read the fine print.

We stayed at The Meyer Hotel in Comfort, TX last weekend in the two-bedroom suite, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst lodging experiences we've had. Check-in was self-service, and I had received a text saying our room was ready. When we entered, we were hit with the noise of a loud, poorly sealed window unit air conditioner blowing forcefully into the room. But what was even more alarming were the hundreds of tiny black specks all over the white king-sized bed—dead bugs. As we looked around more closely, we realized the problem was everywhere. Dead bugs and moths were scattered all over the bathroom—on the towels, countertops, floors, and even the walls. There were also live moths flying around the room. It honestly felt like a nightmare. I found the property manager, who came to look at the room and apologized, but said that because it was near the creek, there wasn’t much he could do. He had someone come in to “touch up” the room while we stepped out for a few hours. When we returned, it looked better on the surface, but bugs were still in corners, and throughout the space. Nothing felt clean. My husband ended up sealing the air conditioner with paper towels because it was clear that bugs were coming in through the large gaps around the unit. Adding to the chaos, there was a loud wedding reception happening just outside our window that went on until about 11. We were so exhausted that we just stayed but I’ve never stayed somewhere that felt this dirty/neglected.

We love this small gem. Have been coming for years. The level of cleanliness has been a bit disappointing lately but hope this review is feedback received and that things turn around. The carpets were very dingy and the shower curtain and shower had pink slime. The towels were dingy too. But we will be back because this place has so much potential!

Great way of checking in and I requested a room with jacuzzi and they put me in one that did not have one . So they quickly moved me to a room that had a jacuzzi and it was a great room. The two rooms were great .

The room was very nice. It was clean and decorated with antique furniture. The bath was an old style tub which did give my wife difficulty. But, I would stay again.

Rooms were very homey and cozy view was outstanding very peaceful

we loved the room! it was large and cozy. The grounds of the hotel were so pretty with lots of outdoor sitting areas. We will be back again to try out the pool next time!

The rooms are part of the stagecoach station from the 1860s. Everything has been updated but still has charm and character. Very comfortable with beautiful antiques in the rooms. I will definitely come back here!

Overall experience was good. Lighting was a bit dim and AC was noisy. TV operation with Roku was complicated or we are just not techie enough. Unfortunately, we had to leave after one night because of flooding and manager said we would get a refund.

LOVELY little boutique hotel. So well kept, clean and easy check in/out. Only complaint is the air conditioning situation. We had the King Suite w/ 2-Bedrooms and the only A/C was a window unit in the double bedroom. It was late March, and the weather was cool while we were there. But if we had been there from May-Sep, I would've been miserable in the King bedroom. So if you're coming in hot months, don't book this suite, but do book here! Wonderful find!

Check in was a bit problematic. The map didn't load on my phone, so we had a hard time finding our room. When we found our room the bathroom had been flooded from a leaky faucet. They moved us to a new room and it was fine. We got a good night's sleep and moved along. The grounds are very beautiful and secluded. There is nobody on site to help with any problems.

Wonderful hotel. Very clean and comfortable. The only problem was check in. There’s no front desk so no staff onsite I didn’t receive an email or text with instructions on how to check in. Finally got ahold of a person that helped me over the phone. A hotel of this size should have a staff person to assist with check in and answer questions about the property.

The property manager entered my room after they were unable to secure me for an extra night through Expedia

Comfortable beds, had hard time getting into room, no reception. Luckily the property manager was on site. Room wasn’t as clean. Cute town.

Staff was extremely friendly and supportive. They offer a heater and extra blankets without even asking. The space is beautiful and charming. The perfect place to rest and enjoy family. Place is 28 min from Fredericksburg and 45 min from Dan Antonio.

We came here for our wedding weekend and interacted with the friendliest staff. An issue arose and the manager, Pete, promptly fixed the issues and was a gift to work with. He even provided us with a little historical tour of the property! It has such a rich history!

Very accommodating! Pete, the hotel manager, was over the top friendly and made sure I had everything I needed. Will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I appreciated our weekend stay in the Hill Country. The hotel is centrally located in the very small unincorporated town of Comfort, with antique shops in walking distance, along with a few great restaurants. Most places in the area were within walking distance, including the winery with a lovely tasting room. I will definitely return.

The Meyer Hotel is a collection of historic and new buildings offering guests unique experiences. I especially enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the river and watching deer. A very short walk from the hotel is the local bar, a pizza place, all just around the corner from an exceptional coffee shop. This historic town kept surprising me and it started with the Meyer Hotel.

This place was great! Has alot of charm, history, very close to downtown and was a very relaxing stay!

We needed a place to stay last minute and found this little place and loved it. From the minute we got there it was awesome. We were greeted by 3 turkeys and when we got to the room everything was perfect. I think our favorite feature was the old school gas stove heater. We had dinner at their little restaurant and were not expecting the perfect quality we received. Money didn’t matter at that time the feeling of being welcomed home was all we needed.

Beautiful and unique hotel. Booked one night for a wedding and wish we could have stayed longer! We will definitely be back.

Absolutely beautiful setting! We did not get the room that was provided in the photo we booked but it was still a lovely accommodation. Parking is right out front and easy to access. There is not a breakfast on site provided but there are coffee shops nearby for breakfast and tea/coffee. The restaurants in town are more for lunch and dinner. Will certainly be back. Thank you for a charming stay!

What a gem of a place! Rooms were clean and spacious. I appreciated the text messages making sure we were comfortable and letting us know of features around the property including their new speakeasy! Speaking of, Mollie is fantastic. Wealth of knowledge and a fantastic mixologist. We are planning our next trip out and we know where we will be staying.

Blow dryer was broken. Bathroom door wouldn’t close and didn’t have a lock anyway. No curtains. Blinds didn’t completely cover windows. Bed and pillows were way too soft. No breakfast included at this bed and breakfast. Iron was broken.

The room was excellent. I was disappointed that there was no food available onsite.

Beautiful area, the food was exceptional in the area , especially Comfort Pizza. Kayla at the Myer Inn was wonderful , highly recommended.
