We were shocked by how small our cabin room was, we could barely get around. And the bathroom had a mini-sink, which kept splashing over and was hard to use. But the recent renovations felt nice. The exterior was rough, lots of spider webs, not enough mats to wipe off the mud that couldn't be avoided all around the cabin. The fridge didn't close properly, which made the freezer overflow with ice, so we couldn't close it either. But the front desk person was really sweet -- even though the office was a piles of stuff and a huge mess -- she was genuine and helpful. If we were camping people, this would feel great in place of a tent, but it wasn't at all what we were expecting.

It was not very clean. The bed was clean and comfortable but the room was dusty and there was some thing on the walls where it looked like someone spilled something down it. There was not grab bars in the bathtub/shower. I’m handicapped and couldn’t get in it to shower so I checked out after one night

The Dax is super convenient to the Wild Center and everything in Tupper Lake. The beds were very comfortable and it was very family friendly. More water pressure in the showers and a table and chairs in the rooms would make everything excellent. Good value for the money and convenience.

Bed was comfortable. Air conditioning was good. Internet and TV were poor. Very limited use of Roku. Limited useable power outlets. Refrigerator and Microwave were nice to have. Location was great for accessing the ADK Rail Trail.

First the name changed from Park St motel to Dax. Was never notified and the address #was not printed in sight. $216 for one night in a deluxe cabin. Didn’t know coin was 4:00 pm and check out 10:00 am!!! When I complained we got the room about 5;30 pm and said 10 am checkout for 2 people to get showers - shower and toilet in one bathroom - 10 am was pushing it. She offered she could probably let us have till just before 11 am when cleaning crew showed up. All white Towels that were dingy or actually dirty. Shower floor looked dirty so we didn’t shower. Definitely NOT worth $216 a night!
