Nice friendly staff, their restaurant was good, but we rather go elsewhere as the menu was small. But the food we did get was good. Only thing that was not good was Saturday night they have a DJ who played music way too loud and until 12 midnight. I get that its a vacation/party vibe but the rooms are not very sound proof.Which brings me to the next, we could hear our neighbor talk and hear his tv. Im sure he could hear us too. Other than that we liked it.

Pool cloudy for first 6 days due to broken filters. AC not on upon arrival. Restaurant only open upon request Mondays - Wednesdays. Fluff sticking to my slippers so had to ask for rooms to be cleaned again. No loo roll in room 201. No complimentary water. Balcony no tables or chairs in rooms 201 and 302. Locked out of room, but no answer on the contact number for hours. Room 303 blue TV cable plugged out. Rooms not cleaned only bins emptied whilst at breakfast. Room 301, sewage smell 24th Oct Sewage smell in my room 28th Oct Hand towels taken and not replaced. No clean cups & glasses. Room 303 behind door dirty. Room 301, under door has buildup of fluff. This hotel needs some serious attention to its rooms. I checked in a room with a lot of broken stuff, the images online didn’t look the same. The parking a lot is not directly onsite and the area for parking doesn’t feel safe at night. This should be listed as a motel for the price paid!!

The hotel was nice and clean all the time and the staff was very friendly. The restaurant was close early on Mondays and Tuesday which was inconvient.

We enjoyed our stay at Maxwell del Mar. Staff are friendly and having a small bar/restaurant on-site was helpful for breakfast and drinks. The pool is small but enough to sit around and occasional dips. Best is really the location. It’s not right down on the St Lawrence Gap strip, but that’s only a 15 minute walk away, where there are plenty of bars and Dover Beach where you can easily swim with turtles. There’s also bus stops right outside the hotel from which you can easily get to Bridgetown, Holetown etc, and in the other direction Oistins (which is only a 20-25 min walk, great for the Friday night fish market).

Matthew was amazing. Sheree was rude and helpful. Rooms were only cleaned 2 times during our 7 day trip. There was no hot water for shower.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Maxwell del Hotel. It’s in a lovely spot, close to all amenities if you like walking.Beaches nearby Oistens walkable Worthing. The annoying part of the booking is if your room faces the main road.You are only guaranteed a good nights sleep from midnight to 05:00. The other annoyance is the housekeeping services were extremely poor. In 16 days my sheets with a complete makeover happend only twice! Hence I found myself begging for clean towels and loo rolls. Overall do not let this put you off. Lovely staff especially Hal and Mathew.

It's in a convenient location for transportation. Some of my towels had stains on them. They gave me a floor towel with rips and holes. Staff often was not at front desk. One staff at the restaurant, a lady that worked a morning shift was very unpleasant. She was on the phone while people were waiting to be served. There is this older guy that works at the restaurant, he was delightful! Overall a comfortable stay, but stay need to do better.

The reviews for this hotel were excellent. So I booked it for a two day stay. It’s on the main road, so it’s convenient. I arrived after 6, when reception closes, but there was someone there to give us the keys. The walk in and dining area are pleasant appearing. The room I booked was smaller than it appears in photos. I should have checked the dimensions. I was disappointed but that was my fault. The first problem I noticed was the face basin was small and not draining well so water would splash back when I had to brush my teeth. There was cold- lukewarm water only. The worst bit however was the mildew on the old shower hose. It was thick I could scrape it with my fingernail.The towels seemed to be washed in bleach and they had a very raw smell. There was mildew on the walls also. When the room was checked for readiness for a guest, I can understand how they thought putting a guest in that condition bathroom was appropriate. They broke their no refund policy and allowed me to check out early so that was a positive.

The property itself from the outside does not look inviting. Needs redorating. Inside room was clean enough but could be cleaner in the bathroom and needed updating shower & around shower floor, toilet & sink. Otherwise, Hal who runs the restaurant etc is the most helpful, polite & loveliest man I’ve met.

I’m going to need a bigger box…Arrived for our 4 night stay in an Elite Room only to be directed to a small, dingy basement accommodation. One small window that would not even open and looked out onto a concrete walkway, not the pool area we had reserved. NO hot water, nowhere to sit in the room except on the lumpy bed. TV was impossible to operate. Asked for a blanket, got a story about why we couldn’t get one as well as pool/beach towels which we offered as an amenity. We asked for a different room but were told they were booked up however we saw only 1 single guest on our 2nd day and after chatting with him he was equally disappointed. We never ate in the restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!

Del Mar is a cozy place to stay. The studio I was in was very clean and looked newly renovated. It had a small patio overlooking the pool. The ambience was nice. The rooms are very close to the front desk area and main road which can be bothersome but overall its a nice and clean place to stay especially if traveling alone. I would stay there again.

I had a nice 2-night stay here. I so appreciated the hotel staff staying longer at reception so we could check in, as our tour went later than expected. Check-in was smooth and I felt accommodated. The hotel itself is small, but comfortable and nice. The room had everything we needed, bed was comfy. I appreciated the balcony right over the pool area, as well as having on site dining. Breakfast could have been better quality, but the convenience was nice. The hotel is located right on the main street, so it's easy to catch a taxi. It's also a 5-minute walk from beautiful Maxwell Beach. I would stay here again.

Guy on reception really helpful sorted room out and early check in quickly and for free. No coffe or milk in room but waiter from restaurant sorted it. Room a bit small, shower small no hot water that we could get but otherwise ok. Comfortable for a 1-2 night stay.

The stay was excellent. The fees were very affordable. The rooms were decently sized and clean. The staff were hospitable, especially Matthew. He was extremely hospitable and helpful. The only downsides we have are: 1. Strange sounds I heard in Room 103, where we stayed, where it sounded like water dripping from an AC unit or faucet from the rooms above; 2. The walls appear to be thin, as sound travels very easily. We can hear people's conversations, the ringing of cell phones, etc. Apart from that, it was excellent. We will definitely return once God spares our lives next year.

Customer service was excellent.. Staff were very responsive to guest needs, caring and polite. The gentleman at the bar, Hal, went beyond the call of duty and provided the best 5-star service you can imagine. My room was small but very clean and quite comfortable. Perfect location along a main thoroughfare so very easy to get public transportation. It’s as close as you would get to a home away from home. I highly recommend and would certainly stay there again.

We sent the hotel a message weeks before going with questions and never got a response, we knew that front desk waa only available during certain hours but even when they were "open" the door was closed and nobody around, we ended up having to go over to the diner to get someone to help us.

A quick mention to Hal and Matthew 2 members of staff who really made our stay - they are both super helpful and really friendly and a credit to the hotel.

Checking in was easy and the room they gave me was private and had its own door to the outside. It’s near the bus stop that takes you along the beach and to town and also near the Lawrence Gap which has a lot of restaurants and clubs

Pool cloudy for first 6 days due to broken filters. AC not on upon arrival. Restaurant only open upon request Mondays - Wednesdays. Fluff sticking to my slippers so had to ask for rooms to be cleaned again. No loo roll in room 201. No complimentary water. Balcony no tables or chairs in rooms 201 and 302. Locked out of room, but no answer on the contact number for hours. Room 303 blue TV cable plugged out. Rooms not cleaned only bins emptied whilst at breakfast. I recently stayed at Maxwell and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. Mister Hal was amazing treated me like family. The waitress at the restaurant was nice. Nadia who checked me in accommodated us we were greatful. I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

The hotel was very affordable I loved the fact that it had a restaurant and bar and i didnt have to worry about walking far to find food. Mr Hal at the reception was exceptionally helpful and very kind during my stay. He made sure i was taken care of including getting me a taxi back to the airport on time. I really enjoyed my stay. Id definitely return

I love the convenience of this property, feels welcoming and homely. Always a pleasure to walk into the room on checking in. The staff are always friendly and engaging. I had a 2 night stay and was disappointed that the room wasnt cleaned and no fresh towels. I was also locked out of my room and almost missed my flight, the security had to wake a guest to open the buzz door.

The hotel is situated on a public road, providing convenient access to public transportation, including buses to and from Bridgetown and Oistins. However, heavy traffic persists throughout the day and late into the night, particularly on weekends. Access to Maxwell Beach is about 500 mts (546.8 yards). This is one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in the area, even when there are 3 resorts. There are no kiosks and bars on the beach, so come prepared. I just wish there would be restaurants nearby and that the surrounding neighborhood was not so abandoned.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay at Maxwell del Hotel. It’s in a lovely spot, close to all amenities if you like walking.Beaches nearby Oistens walkable Worthing. The annoying part of the booking is if your room faces the main road.You are only guaranteed a good nights sleep from midnight to 05:00. The other annoyance is the housekeeping services were extremely poor. In 16 days my sheets with a complete makeover happend only twice! Hence I found myself begging for clean towels and loo rolls. Overall do not let this put you off. Lovely staff especially Hal and Mathew.

I had a nice 2-night stay here. I so appreciated the hotel staff staying longer at reception so we could check in, as our tour went later than expected. Check-in was smooth and I felt accommodated. The hotel itself is small, but comfortable and nice. The room had everything we needed, bed was comfy. I appreciated the balcony right over the pool area, as well as having on site dining. Breakfast could have been better quality, but the convenience was nice. The hotel is located right on the main street, so it's easy to catch a taxi. It's also a 5-minute walk from beautiful Maxwell Beach. I would stay here again.

Ideal for a couple of nights on the island. Really enjoyed going to Oistins fish market area for dinner both nights - highly recommend!! Local buses to/from v cheap ‘n cheerful but a bit of risk (speed, safety etc) Maxwell del Mar is a well run small but very comfortable 3* hotel - great for travel on a budget 👍👍👍

The pool is small but enough to sit around and occasional dips. Best is really the location. It’s not right down on the St Lawrence Gap strip, but that’s only a 15 minute walk away, where there are plenty of bars and Dover Beach where you can easily swim with turtles. There’s also bus stops right outside the hotel from which you can easily get to Bridgetown, Holetown etc, and in the other direction Oistins (which is only a 20-25 min walk, great for the Friday night fish market).

Nice friendly staff, their restaurant was good, but we rather go elsewhere as the menu was small. But the food we did get was good. Only thing that was not good was Saturday night they have a DJ who played music way too loud and until 12 midnight. I get that its a vacation/party vibe but the rooms are not very sound proof.Which brings me to the next, we could hear our neighbor talk and hear his tv. Im sure he could hear us too. Other than that we liked it.

The hotel is very nice, clean and cozy. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious and the prices are reasonable. They also recommended me a taxi driver, so I can visit Flower Forest Botanical Garden, Wildlife Reserve and Bathsheba. Thank you for everything! I had an amazing time!

I was given a horrible room on ground floor looks like it was flooded in recent weeks..sheets dingy and even had stains..I complained they said I paid for basic. I was going to look for another hotel but then they moved me to a better room. Breakfast was also not worth the price poorly prepared. Would not go back!

Everything was great however took one star off because the shower wouldn’t get hot in our room. The breakfast at the restaurant was lovely, we had it delivered to our room. Rooms are clean and modern.
