Stayed 1 night

While Wildhaven Sonoma offers decent facilities and private river access, my stay was ruined by hostile and unprofessional front desk staff. I used the "message property" feature on Hotels.com before arriving to request an extra cot for my 4-year-old in one of our two tents. Wildhaven explicitly confirmed they could accommodate this for $30, instructing me to pay upon arrival. I have full screenshot evidence of this exchange. When I checked in around 3:20 PM on August 9, 2026, the female agent refused to honor the agreement. She claimed there was "no record," insisted they were sold out, and refused to provide an extra cot, pillows, or towels for my child. Instead of apologizing, she arrogantly blamed me for using a third-party site, flippantly suggested "it might have been an AI" who messaged me, and said I could leave and get a refund if unhappy. Furthermore, our two tents on the same order were split between Tent 1 and 12. She refused to move us closer, claiming full occupancy, yet Tent 13 next to us stayed empty all night. To top it off, before finishing my check-in or giving proper info, she rudely dismissed me, telling me to leave because others were waiting behind me. Management can check staffing records for 3:20 PM on Aug 9th. Unacceptable service—pre-confirmed requests are ignored with zero accountability.

Stayed 2 nights

Our stay was for 2 nights and 3 days. The tent and surrounding areas were clean and well maintained . The overall management of the property and Amenities was consistent and organized. Our beds were comfortable and had heating blankets under the fitted sheets. A nice touch. The tent amenities were good with electricity, heaters, and charging areas for electronics. There are also BBQ pits and picnic tables at each tent and cabin site. I will say it has a family camp vibe to it. Young families with children running about. So if you are not wanting to be around younger kids during your camp stay then I would not recommend. Also, if I do come back I will rent one of the cabins instead of the tents. The cabins are quieter and have air conditioning for hot days. The Russian River sits right next to the camp area. And float tubes are available at the front office. One last thing is the resort sits next to a busy road. You can hear the cars driving past unfortunately. But overall, it is a pleasant place and well maintained. The location is nice, too. Easy access to surrounding towns and areas of interest. A short drive to most places.

I love the cabins more than the tents. The bathroom was clean but could be updated. 3rd time going it was nice.
