It was 15 minutes from Sugarloaf, which was great. There were a lot of dead flies and ladybugs all over when we arrived, and a very steep, slippery driveway from the snow earlier in the day. The property was very cool, and a good value for the size.

Our family had a wonderful second stay at Tahoe East! The cabin is both spacious and cozy - with a great kitchen for cooking after-ski meals and plenty of space for our family to spread out or gather together. We love the furniture and the special things that the host has collected - books, art, etc. Some call this "clutter" but we call this cozy and homey. Perfect mix with great views and close proximity to Sugarloaf Mtn. The host is a great communicator and quickly answers questions - he is a wonderful person who has had an amazing life, lots of great stories - we love talking with him. We will return again!!

Frank is a true Maine gentleman with a special place up there in Kingfield. The cabin is exceptional - privately nestled among the birches just above the Carrabassett River, minutes drive to Sugarloaf and the best in local eateries. You’ll marvel at its delightful wood carvings, lose yourself in the morning view from its soaring livingroom windows, and relish in the evening warmth from the amazing stone fireplaces. When the snowy winter winds blew through the valley, we were perfectly warm and comfortable. This was the ski retreat my kids were hoping for. We very much enjoyed staying at Tahoe East and getting to know Frank through it.
