The cabin was cozy and provided plenty of room. It does not have a lake view. We tried to walk to where we thought the lake might be, but were unsuccessful. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom were clean, but bedrooms had mouse and squirrel dropping on bedding. We had to wash bedding before we could sleep. We did contact host about it-they said they would contact pest control, but didn't offer any compensation. The other disapointment was not being able to flush toilet paper. This is something we would have liked to have known ahead of time. We were not able to sign guest book as it was no where to be found. When I inquired about it the question was ignored. If you are looking for a cabin in the middle of no where this is the place to rent. We enjoyed the peace and privacy.

It was ok. We were a grandmother (me), and two daughters and their spouses, and 3 children. The beds were comfortable. The porches nice. Glad there was a grill because it was pretty hot to cook inside. And we were glad to have laundry facilities since our wet clothes didn't dry well in the humidity. We spent most of our indoor time at the table near the kitchen where there was enough light to see and do things. We gave the property manager a list of things that really should be fixed before others stay there like burned out lightbulbs, not enough lights (none overhead in rooms) inside except in the kitchen, lost handle for the dishwasher, broken towel rack, consistent noise from a draining and filling toilet, no curtains or blinds in the master bedroom, missing piece to the microwave, infestation of ants around the firepit, scratched and unusable Wi and video games, not enough forks, bowls, spoons or glasses. With better upkeep, the place is a nice escape into the woods.I'm not sure why the main photo is of the gate to the neighborhood. There seem to be only about 5 houses down the gravel road from the cabin. It is not an exclusive place as the gate might suggest. I have no idea even why there is a gate because the area is remote and down a gravel road. The kitchen is fine as is the eating area. We spent all our indoor time there because the LR was dark, small, and without enough seating given there were only two loveseats.

Stayed 3 nights

We loved everything about the Log Cabin at Nolin Lake. The cabin felt very cozy yet had plenty of room for a family of 12. The kitchen was well equipped, had everything we needed and then some. Had plenty for kids to do, video and board games, puzzles and an outdoor rope swing. Loved sitting on the back porch, with plenty of seating. Would have been fun to use the fire ring, but we had 90 degree days. Convenient in that it had a restroom on every floor. Would definitely like to come back someday.

From the booking until the day we left everything went so smoothly. This home is a great retreat, not far from the caves or boating and we had an excellent time being together as a family. There were 12 of us:adults, little children and two babies and we had a fabulous time. Everything was there for us.The homeowner was super efficient in checking in with us and making sure everything in place. He was super kind. Great to work with. The home is beautiful. We didn't get to enjoy the outside of the home as much as our activities during the day kept us away, but it was a perfect retreat for the family of 12 that we had. The furniture and the home atmosphere was super comfortable and very cozy. We all had a super great time just being there together. It was the perfect place to enjoy each other's company and love.

If you look for nice, rustic property where your kids can run free and explore the nature this one is for you. Morning coffee on the back deck and deers passing by was big plus.
