We absolutely loved our stay! It was just what 2 busy full-time working parents needed. The bed was super comfy and we loved the privacy! We walked to the lake multiple times and caught loads of catfish! We will definitely be back!! 💞

Loved this place. It was beautiful inside and out. They even had a disc golf course laid out on the property (although it was still being developed) Lake access to swim or fish, and a quaint little common area to sit and relax.

We had a great time at the property! We enjoyed cooking on the grill, making smores in the firepit, and eating dinner on the porch with a view of the lake ahead of us! The lake was just a short walk down a trail, but the catfish were biting (I caught 25 in all) and it was super peaceful. Our hosts communicated with us throughout the stay, and it was a great stay overall! We'll definitely be back

I loved all thedetails the included like the story of how the cabin was build and the several books of other people who have visited this cabin. We had a wonderful time and it gave us time away from the world to reconnect with one another. The cabin was nice, clean and romantic. The view of the lake is amazing. They thought of everything even shampoo, body wash, facial wipes and more. Water and snacks for us. The people who own this cabin put alot of care into these cabins. We will be coming back next year. Thank you so much.

I booked this property for a birthday weekend getaway for my sister and myself. We wanted a quiet place with a porch and a great view to spend the weekend reading. This was definitely all that! It was far enough out to make us feel surrounded by nature, but close enough to get to Tyler to shop and eat. The place had all the little extras to make our stay great. The only difficulties we noticed (and it wasn’t that much of one) was the very steep ladder to get to the loft where the bed is. Also it’s a rather inclined area to get to the car from the cabin. For anyone who these things wouldn’t be a problem, this is the place for you!

Was pleasantly surprised we could still handle the very steep loft ladder... Super time to read and enjoy favorite movies. They shared a fun picture album of the family together building the cabin! 👍

This was a nice place to stay. It had all the things offered mentioned in the description. The stairs to the loft are very narrow and steep, which was mentioned to us beforehand, but be aware. I wish they had stair treads on them but I am clumsy. ha ha Otherwise fine place to stay. Air is very cool inside. My only wish? We were in town for a wedding and there is not any place to hang nice items, suits and dresses, upstairs in the loft . But this is not really the place where most people might stay for a wedding weekend. It is more for Rustic activities, outdoor adventures and hanging out casually. The cabin itself was just enough away from other cabins to feel like it was completely isolated. The cabin was tiny, but perfect for 2 people, which is exactly what we wanted. The entire property was huge and we took advantage of as many amenities as we could. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

we enjoyed our stay and found the accommodations to be very inviting and comfortable. Only recommendations I would have is maybe some signage at the road as the barrels are hard to see tucked in the trees and advise full-size trucks or trim the trees back off the roads just a little. thank you for the hospitality 10 out of 10 would stay again

We enjoyed our stay great view. It’s a little tight getting in. You have to be careful heavily wooded area. Great country cabin atmosphere Very quiet and peaceful. The loft was awesome, but very steep ladder not for the older crowd.

The cabin was immaculate and cozy. The space was well utilized. The cabin experience itself was outstanding. However, the road leading to the cabin was in poor condition and foliage along the road needed trimming.

The cabin itself was just enough away from other cabins to feel like it was completely isolated. The cabin was tiny, but perfect for 2 people, which is exactly what we wanted. The entire property was huge and we took advantage of as many amenities as we could. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

We had a great time at the property! We enjoyed cooking on the grill, making smores in the firepit, and eating dinner on the porch with a view of the lake ahead of us! The lake was just a short walk down a trail, but the catfish were biting (I caught 25 in all) and it was super peaceful. Our hosts communicated with us throughout the stay, and it was a great stay overall! We'll definitely be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary stay at Uncle Toad's Cottage! The cabin was cute, cozy, and clean. We loved relaxing in the hot tub and by the fire pit. We also enjoyed the lake views and hiking around the property.We definitely woukd reccommend this retreat.

Such a cute place! The owners are very helpful and gracious. The cabin is perfect, the area... adorable! I will definately be booking again. Next time i will upgrade to the private hot tub just for convenience!!!
