Apt #2

This property is exactly as in the photos- furniture is old, apartment is sparse. It looks like it was maybe abused by some college kids in the past and not repaired. Mattresses are mediocre- not high quality. Not enough towels for the number of people (I believe there were four for the five of us staying there). Not enough dishes to be functional for meals (3 full sized plates and one small). Zero extra blankets. Without the cleanliness issue it would have been fine for the price. Problem is that it was dirty. Counters weren’t wiped down, stovetop not cleaned since prior use, one light switch was sticky and bathroom was kind of gross. The host was responsive and apologetic- said she would address it with the cleaner. The entryway was poorly lit at night and the steps to enter the home had a rotten piece of plywood that would definitely have caved in if we had put weight on it. We had to hop over this piece to enter the home. This was mentioned in previous reviews but was not yet fixed. It was definitely unsafe. The host said she had to have the property manager address it and I hope they do before someone gets hurt. Overall it gave us shelter for the few days we were in town for our sons graduation but not very enjoyable to stay in a dirty apartment. I gave the overall three stars because the host was responsive and apologetic. But that doesn’t really change the fact that it was dirty.

The pictures in the posting were misleading. The entry was rotten wood so had to step over to enter the house. Too much air freshener seemed to want to cover up a smell. The place was clean but many broken cabinets and dents in the walls. Not all the lights worked. Oh and right next to the working train tracks. Loud!!
