It seemed like we were alpha-testing the facilities. Even the WIFI in the lobby was sketchy, and in the rooms was hopeless. Shower didn’t work in one room. Breakfast appeared to be makeshift in a deserted restaurant. I wish them luck as they pull together the pieces of a functional hotel.

Decent hotel to stay if visit I g Agra. Decent room, spacious and working shower. WiFi was a bit unstable. It’s 20 minutes walking from tai Mahal and right by the metro station which takes you directly to Agra fort. Very convenient.

R1,900 a night (£16.50) for two inc small breakfast isn’t much, but we’ve stayed in far better places for less. Staff were disengaged, common areas were dirty and littered with the same debris throughout our 3 day stay. Room was decent size, but very dusty and dirty. Shower curtain and fittings etc filthy. No fridge, A/C and fan worked, but noisy. Very limited breakfast grudgingly prepared in the dingy basement restaurant Hotel probably quite nice 20 years ago, but looks like it’s been completely neglected ever since. On the plus side, it had a proper reception, felt safe, provided toilet paper and had excellent hot water if you remembered to turn the cylinder on. The upmarket Pinch of Spice restaurant next door was terrific, but is (justifiably) expensive by Indian standards.

Do not believe the reviews!!! Upon arrival at the hotel we found out international credit cards weren’t accepted! Would have been nice to know beforehand. When we got to the room the bathrooms were filthy, not just a little…but gross. Wifi wasn’t working on our floor. Street noise was a problem. We asked for our money back and they moved us to a sister hotel not far away. Cleanliness wasn’t much better but tolerable. Took quite a while to get wifi to work. Decided to give it a chance, was woken up at 3am from people on the floor checking in/getting there, this went on for an hour. Went to call front desk but no phone. Got dressed and went to complain. We got a refund for the second night and went somewhere else!

Staff was not dressed professionally and could not be differentiated from someone on the street. The hotel was dirty and not well presented. The room was dirty, the glass on the shower glass panel had soap scum making it look awful and the end table had used condom wrappers left from the previous people. Awful experience. Avoid this place.

We we arrived we realized the property qas not the one on the pictures, so they took us to other “better” property. Big waste of time! Bathroom was disguising and dirty. AC didn’t work, they provide hot water just till 3pm. So we’ve had to take a cold shower. Kettle didn’t work, as well as rhe TV, and mini fridge, guess what, didn’t work either

Everything about this hotel was terrible. Don't believe any of the reviews. We think they are all fake. When we arrived, there were no towels and the water wasn't running. The whole room is shabby and run down. The bathroom floor was wet from a continuous leak. And all of the fixtures are filthy..The pillows did not have cases and were dirty. The bathroom has no knob, the walls are dirty. We paid for the breakfast and dinner included, but at dinner the options are limited to a few choices and there were no beverages. The breakfast consists of different types of bread.

My family and I had a short stay at Goyal Hoteliers and we were really pleased with the experience. The room was spacious, very clean, and had a cozy feel to it. We were especially happy with how well-kept the bathroom was—it looked recently cleaned and had no issues whatsoever. The beds were made with fresh linen and we could see that cleanliness was a priority for them. What made the stay even better was the location. It's barely a 5-7 minute walk to the Taj Mahal, which made it incredibly easy to plan our visits. We didn’t have to worry about hiring transport every time. The staff were helpful, even bringing us tea in the morning with a smile. Overall, it felt like a comfortable, homey stay at a very fair price. If you're visiting the Taj and want a clean, reliable place to rest, this is a great option.

This hotel is a perfect example of how great service can transform a simple stay into an exceptional one. The staff was polite and always smiling. The rooms were spotless and well-equipped with everything one might need. I appreciated the quiet and peaceful ambiance, which made for a very relaxing stay. The restaurant’s food quality and presentation were excellent. I’d definitely stay here again on my next visit to Agra.

R1,900 a night (£16.50) for two inc small breakfast isn’t much, but we’ve stayed in far better places for less. Staff were disengaged, common areas were dirty and littered with the same debris throughout our 3 day stay. Room was decent size, but very dusty and dirty. Shower curtain and fittings etc filthy. No fridge, A/C and fan worked, but noisy. Very limited breakfast grudgingly prepared in the dingy basement restaurant Hotel probably quite nice 20 years ago, but looks like it’s been completely neglected ever since. On the plus side, it had a proper reception, felt safe, provided toilet paper and had excellent hot water if you remembered to turn the cylinder on. The upmarket Pinch of Spice restaurant next door was terrific, but is (justifiably) expensive by Indian standards.

The hotel was helpful beforehand and arranged a car to meet us at Tundla Junction Station. The driver was excellent and we found each other easily. I hsd been told to pay rhe hotel. On arrival after check in the mansger asked for the money.. i gave him 2000IR expecting 200IR change which never materialised. During check in the manager kept trying to sell us Taj tours and other tours. I said we had a taj tour. But asked him about another tour He came up with a quote and i said I'd go back to him the next day as it sermed expensive. That night we ate in the very strange basement restaurant- the only diners. The food came out quicly and we enjoyed it. BUT by nect day we hoth had a dreadful stomach upsets that then.lasted about 8 day's. Assisted by the Taj tour guide we got some. medication. Managed the Taj trip as it was just a short one. We arranged another trip for the next day. Bssed on how we felt. On walking back into the hotel the manager immediately wanted to know if we wanted the tour. I said no we were ill from eating in the hotel restaurant. No offer off compensation. When leaving he tried again to sell us a car and driver. I'll not be going here again!!

Decent hotel to stay if visit I g Agra. Decent room, spacious and working shower. WiFi was a bit unstable. It’s 20 minutes walking from tai Mahal and right by the metro station which takes you directly to Agra fort. Very convenient.

You get what you pay for, so it’s hard to complain about hotel samovar. While handily situated near the big sites of Agra, the hotel is a bit on the grubby side, despite its affordability. Reasonable eating options are also nearby. If on a budget, you’ll make do with this place.

Goyal Hoteliers really impressed me with their cleanliness and service. I’m very particular about hygiene, and I was pleasantly surprised to find the room exceptionally neat. The floor was spotless, the bedsheets crisp and clean, and the bathroom sanitized thoroughly. It felt like staying in a much higher-end hotel. Besides cleanliness, the location is unbeatable. It seemed like we were alpha-testing the facilities. Even the WIFI in the lobby was sketchy, and in the rooms was hopeless. Shower didn’t work in one room. Breakfast appeared to be makeshift in a deserted restaurant. I wish them luck as they pull together the pieces of a functional hotel.

The whole room is shabby and run down. The bathroom floor was wet from a continuous leak. And all of the fixtures are filthy..The pillows did not have cases and were dirty. The bathroom has no knob, the walls are dirty. We paid for the breakfast and dinner included, but at dinner the options are limited to a few choices and there were no beverages. The breakfast consists of different types of bread.

The manager either didn't understand that we had pre-booked a tour (or something more sinister), but he arranged a guide to arrive next morning despite being told no - I had to disappoint the guide, poor fellow. Not sure if there is a well-located hotel in Agra - it's all a bit full-on. Don't choose this hotel if you want to walk anywhere. The restaurant downstairs has good dinner, but the breakfast isn't great. There's a great place next door (with an alcohol licence), and a couple of good clothing shops nearby.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve experienced, particularly when contrasted with the misleading positive reviews online. The hallways were very dim with odd blue lighting, the walls were stained, and the room had a strong musty smell. We even saw cockroaches during our short stay. The sheets appeared dirty, the shower barely worked with only lukewarm water, and not even the basic necessities of toilet paper and soap were provided. Thankfully we were only there for about 6 hours, but I would not recommend this place.

The hallways were very dim with odd blue lighting, the walls were stained, and the room had a strong musty smell. We even saw cockroaches during our short stay. The sheets appeared dirty, the shower barely worked with only lukewarm water, and not even the basic necessities of toilet paper and soap were provided. Thankfully we were only there for about 6 hours, but I would not recommend this place.
