The property was very nice and quiet. The staff was easy qoing and helpful. The upper porch was a great place to sit with the firepit onand was cozy. They are still doing some construction on the property and the elevator was out is the only reason that rating is a 4. Looks like they may be completely wonderful soon.

I like having more options for lodging in Cloudcroft but I was a bit disappointed that it was similar to every other run-of-the-mill hotel. The room was clean but small and there is no sound insulation between floors. The ping-pong table just down the hall is quite loud. Guests have to walk up a hill from the parking lot to the hotel entrance.

Amazing water pressure for the shower! Everything was great but it was a little tough to get the heater dialed in. The unit seemed to think it was cooler in the room than it was, so it kept kicking on when it didn't need to. Possibly because it is right below a window and it was a low of 28*. The place is super clean and everything is pretty new as of my Dec 2024 stay. They have free parking in the lot or paid secure parking below in a locked garage. I have already recommended this place to a friend and I would stay here again.

Stay was fantastic. Hotel is super welcoming, both the staff and the ambiance. Comfortable and cozy. Room was large with 2 comfy king beds, shower was a large walk in one. Very clean. Breakfast area is very cute with a great hot breakfast and good coffee! Little nooks everywhere with games and comfy chairs. Outside patio has a fire pit and seating that is nice. Really enjoyed our stay. Will most definitely stay again.

Really nice place. I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this place was. Beautiful lobby, rooms were quiet and comfortable. Pretty sure this place had the cleanest linens and towels of any place I’ve ever stayed. Enjoyed the fireplace with my coffee in the morning. Will definitely stay here again.

Great new hotel! We’re so glad we decided decided to stay in Cloudcroft while a family reunion was happening in Alamogordo. Cloudcroft is much cooler in temperature and resulted in a wonderful weekend. This hotel is new, extremely clean and well laid out. The staff was wonderful from start to finish.

The hotel is brand new so feels very clean. The staff was very friendly at check in. The breakfast was nicer than most hotel breakfasts, although there were limited healthy options. Parking in the covered garage turned out to be a great option as there were several inches of snow overnight. The only issue was that the wifi was very weak as our room was at the end of the hall and likely far from the router.

It is a brand new hotel. All modern decor and really nice features. The beds were very comfortable and really liked the 2 king size beds in the room. Convenient breakfast during weekdays. It also had a ping pong table that was fun to play.

This hotel was clean, well lit and right on the main road, so very convenient. But the walls were very thin, and the door to our room had no seal to keep the hall noise out. The floor above us was also thin as we could hear whenever someone above us walked across the floor, used the bathroom, etc. Also, though we always appreciate it when breakfast is included, it was sub-par.

The hotel seemed to be quite new, and the room was pleasant, well-appointed and clean with a very comfortable bed. The lobby and breakfast area were attractive and the custom-made breakfast was a delicious surprise. Our only minor suggestions would be to provide glasses or at least disposable drinking cups in the bathroom, and to install a large dressing mirror somewhere in the room.

Hotel is new, clean, and well maintained. The ONLY issue is that while sleeping on the 1st floor you can clearly hear when people walk loudly on the floor above. There was a family on the 2nd floor and their kids could be heard running up and down the hallways, almost nonstop.

I went to check in. They wanted another 100 dollar charge for incidental charges and any damage we might do. We paid for the room last month. The hotel would not let us stay the night. Julie, the manager, said they would cancel the room and refund the charge.

Staff was fantastic, friendly, courteous, helpful. Hotel is new, fresh, clean, well-maintained, well-run. Management has put together a great team of employees that is a welcome change from many typical hotels. My favorite feature is their secure underground parking, protected from the elements and hotel outsiders. We wish they had self-service laundry facilities on premises, because their are no laundramats within 20 miles and 4500 feet of elevation (Alamogordo) -- and those are shabby -- go to Ruidoso Downs instead. Grand Cloudcroft Hotel is at nearly 9,000 feet of elevation, so if you have respiratory difficulties or problems, expect chronic shortness of breath. However, we will return to this very nice hotel in an amazing and refreshing microclimate. Thank you Mark, Julie, and staff.

It was clean and the staff was friendly. I called on Monday and requested a room downstairs I was told I had a room downstairs along with my daughters family and when we arrived I was told it was upstairs and that my rooms could not be changed. I was a bit upset with this.

Amazing place close to everything. This hotel is very cozy and offers 2 king size bed options; great for family trips. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only one that doesn't look thrilled to be there is the cook, seems bothered when you ask for food - other than that, it is very much worth it.

The hotel scores high on the “3 Cs”: Clean, Comfortable, Convenient. Using the word “grand” in its name is a bit of an overstatement. We found it oddly lacking in the small things that earn our higher ratings. Two bath towels were provided but just one hand towel. Three pillows on the king bed (we did find an extra in the closet). No drinking glasses or cups for taking pills, Also, you must request housekeeping which we did on one of our three days. Oddly, the bathroom was cleaned and replenished but the bed was not made. None of these things are dealbreakers, but be advised if they are important to you.

This is a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay from start to finish. The staff are very friendly. The location is very good, but you will need to drive to the shops. Can't recommend enough. Cloudcroft is a fine place to visit.

Pretty bad breakfast . The pancakes were cold and hard as rock. Biscuit was half baked. It is not buffet but a guy at a window giving you one of the 5 items on the menu. The guy was grumpy. Rooms were clean ( newer facility). Front desk staff polite and nice. Place is conveniently located. So, if you dot are for the breakfast, this is a good option.

Very clean, modern property right in the mountains. Breakfast was good but one person making everything and serving so a bit much. Rooms are good sized and the bathrooms nice as well. Great shower! You can walk up the hill to the brewery. And a roaring wood fire greeted us in the lobby when we arrived.

The room was clean, as was the facility. The staff was great. There were spring break people when we were there, and it was NOISY. People were slamming doors until late, but it finally stopped. Breakfast was limited to take and go items.This was especially disappointing given my need for gluten free options.

Our stay was very comfortable for the 8 of us with two rooms! Great having king beds instead of queens!! The hotel has fewer rooms which really gives it a home style feel and the breakfast was good enough to start the day with a very full satisfied feeling. One day the food was too salty to eat. The cook obviously had a bad day. I wish they had toast available otherwise very happy.
