Fantastic location in central Dahlonega. Many perfect aspects: Excellent parking garage with doors right by the elevators. Terrific free breakfast with a great variety of foods. Rooms are large with all the amenities you might need. Our large room had 2 comfortable queen beds, a spot for placement of 2 suitcases, closet, safe, refrigerator, work desk, large TV, quiet. Nice area in lobby with seats for socializing. Nice indoor pool and small gym. Front desk was responsive and available.

Nice modern hotel in downtown Dahlonega. Parking was free and nearby. Huge room, friendly service, and great breakfast. I did not use the pool or gym but they are on site. Good base for exploring North Georgia or the town itself. Room also had a large mini fridge, microwave, and Kuerig.

The location was perfect right on the square. Also liked the pool and exercise room, friendly front desk staff, and breakfast.

Well kept, convenient to major area, parking provided in basement area.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had a spacious room and loved the free garage parking. The breakfasts were good with a nice variety of choices. The location was perfect for us so we could walk around downtown Dahlonega. All of the staff members were very nice and helpful.

The staff was friendly and helpful. But: The foot rest in the shower was torn loose from the shower wall. The bottom of the fixed shower glass leaks onto the bathroom floor badly and needs to be caulked. The outlets for the fridge, microwave, and coffee maker were not working so we had to move the appliances around the room to working outlets. A Crack in the ceiling above the shower had been repaired with plaster, but never sanded smooth. Beds were comfortable. Generally upgraded facilities. Garage parking.

The hotel was very nice and clean. The parking garage is a nightmare for people with trucks because it is so tight! The shower water pressure is not good. The fire alarm went off around 1130 at night and the young girl at the desk was very frazzled and not really sure what to do.

Very clean! When we opened the door it smelled so good! The young lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to all my friends and family.

I did not sleep at all. The bed was so hard it hurt my legs and hip. The towels were awful and shower was dirty. I could hear the room above me with loud running wand walking. The air conditioner was hard to adjust. Food options poor. Thank goodness for outside restaurants.

Our room had a very distinct chemical smell. Even after we left, our clothes smelled like the cleaning agent. It was as if they were trying to cover up a smell. The hotel did not feel like it matched the $450.00 a night price tag.

Location is great. Breakfast is great. Everything else was so-so. Hotel is only about a year old. However, it felt older. Room was a little dirty, shower didn't drain well, mold on shower curtain, there was a run in the carpet, only air conditioner is window unit (which is linked to a thermostat in the room). The only A/C vent being against the window meant no A/C in the bathroom. TVs went out in the whole hotel for about an hour Saturday evening during football season. Beds were pretty comfy and room was large. Would probably stay again primarily because of the location. We used to stay at the holiday inn express on the hill just before you come into town. That is now a Comfort Inn. The third (top) floor facing north has the best view in Dahlonega. We might try it again next time, but will probably stay at the Holiday Inn Express downtown just because of the location.

Always like to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Dahlonega. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Workers are always helpful and nice.

Very clean/new property. The staff is very friendly and always cleaning. There is a small parking garage attached to the hotel. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Breakfast was really good. Would definitely stay there again.

A/c is noisy.

The television service was out our entire stay and when asked if there would be any compensation offered for the inconvenience we were told "no, because it was an outside service" or something to that effect...we believe having everything in working order..i.e. plumbing, electrical, TV, etc..is standard and the responsibility of the hotel and its management...I can' imagine there were too many guests happy about the outage...even offering a $20 credit would have helped...and communicated an acknowledgement of the problem...your front desk staff should have been empowered to do something or the management..if not on site but aware of the problem should have been proactive and instructed their staff to appease the patrons...not sure if will ever stay here again...

Booked the weekend for a Wedding ariirved and checked in which was super easy as I biked thru Expedia room was next to the Elevator (not good) but the room itself was nice and well laid out but only 1 place to sit without being in a Desk Chair or on the bed which was comfortable but the Pillows were awful.in the Bathroom the Shower head dripped our entire stay and of course hit the Stainless Metal covering the drain so the drip echoes thru the room Blinds do a great job of block out The “Free Breakfast” was only 3 hours and with the hotel being booked they were constantly out of food but that ended up being ok as when we were finally able to get something, we wish we hadn’t. Overall knowing our first time here we would book again because of location and would just plan accordingly for everything else

Beautiful and comfortable room; convenient location to the venue associated with my travel.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast was good. Parking easy. Staff friendly. But beds need to be replaced as they were uneven and had large "dips" in them and had very limited support.

For the price, this was the nicest, cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The room we had was big too! We were very impressed with the place and would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Dahlonega.

Perfect location. Well insulated - very little noise. Exceptional light blocking curtains. Very clean. I generally don’t sleep well in hotels but I slept great here. Convenient walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Two small parking lots with generous spaces. Breakfast was great (and free!) too.

The mechanical issues are far too overwhelming, and the response was just shy of lackluster. Personality of the front desk was warm and inviting, and you can tell they were restrained from making any kind of real amends to the customer.

We were on the way to the hotel from 4 hours away when they called to tell us that they were over booked and there was no room for us. We booked the reservation over a month prior. Extremely disappointed with this property

This is my fourth time staying at Holiday Inn Express and my go-to for a long weekend in Dahlonega. The hotel is centrally located with plenty of parking and within walking distance of cool shops, tasting rooms, restaurants, and more. The staff is very friendly and the room clean and a good size for three people.

Jackie Felix is an EXCEPTIONAL AGM! She went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Nate, maintenance engineer, was also extremely helpful, friendly and quick to respond to a minor room request. I highly recommend this HIExpress & Suites if you are ever in Dahlonega, GA.

The staff would not let anyone check in before 3pm. This caused a crowded scene in the lobby with everyone rushing to check in. I have never had this problem at Hilton or Marriott hotels.

Wonderful stay. Convenient to everything. Room wasn’t ready and was given a free hot cocoa from a chocolate shop for each member of our party. Fantastic customer service.

Very convenient being in the middle of down town. Walkable to all restaurants and shops. Very cute town. Definitely will be back.

Dahlonega is a great small town with many nearby activities. The Holiday Inn and Suites downtown is in the middle of it all!

Clean rooms, staff mostly nice, worst breakfast in comparison to other hotels: not many options, burnt turkey sausage, not enough biscuits, pancake machine broken, no waffle maker.

We booked a standard double. Was happy that it was more spacious than we anticipated. The rooms also come with a microwave and mini fridge as a standard. The location was right down town with walking distance to everything. The parking is inside or behind the building and you get access with your room pass. My family said that the breakfast on Saturday was disappointing and old tasting. However, Sunday's breakfast was better. The indoor pool was fun for the kids. We enjoyed walking to get fudge and ice-cream, as well as the jerky & tea shop across the street.

We loved this hotel – the location, cleanliness, and staff were excellent. However, I feel the breakfast could use some improvement. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely book this hotel again. An awesome place to stay!

I had planned a one night stay with my daughter-in-law and 4 year-old granddaughter. I was able to check-in with a lovely young lady with no problems. We easily got settled in our room. The accommodations were very nice, and we had a nice view to be able to see the lights. I asked for a late checkout and was given a time of noon, which worked out fine. The only disappointments were first the indoor pool seemed a little stained. The water was heated but not warm enough. My granddaughter enjoyed swimming before bedtime. The only real complaint was with the breakfast. We arrived midway through the serving hours. The room was packed with guests, and all the seating for more than two people was all occupied. There were two available tables that seated two people with very small round tables. We finally found one of those and were able to move a chair to the table. The small table was cramped with 3 of us trying to eat there. The worst problem was that midway through serving hours, they were running out of everything. There were foods that were gone, and they ran out of plastic forks. We inquired at the front desk for more, and they said they were completely out of them. The food was pretty good. However, the only available protein options were a southwestern omelette and sausage links. They were out of yogurt. Scrambled eggs and bacon or ham would have been good. The dining area was very congested and people were using the lobby. The dining area needs to be reconfigured.

Front staff was great. Elevators showed 4 months overdue on inspection. Breakfast was just disgusting. Got there 10 min after breakfast started. Eggs were totally burnt and someone stirred all the burnt parts in. Gravy was also burnt on the sides like this was the 6th time it had been reheated. Biscuits were soggy on top and hard as a rock on the bottom. Just got a yogurt and my dad, who eats anything, couldn’t even finish. Now I get that continental breakfasts are not gourmet food, but this was the worst one we have been too. Being it was $250 for a room on a Wednesday night in December. Made it even worse.
