Nice resort with a lot of “sign up” sheets for seemingly everything, including the laundry room (which has two washing machines for a very large resort). But my big complaint is the pool hours: 10:00 to 18:00! That’s too short, especially in the middle of a heat wave! Basically the resort’s best feature was only usable 30% of the time! Cretan restaurant was excellent. And the room was nice too.

Das Village Heigh Resort ist wirklich empfehlenswert für Ruhesuchende! Das Resort ist sehr sauber, ordentlich und gepflegt. Tägliche Wechsel der Handtücher und Betten machen! Einziger Kritikpunkt ist der Duschvorhang in den Bädern und die etwas kleinen Pools. Im Sommer ist es nicht möglich ein paar Bahnen zu schwimmen.

Hébergement éloigné de la ville, en montagne. Super calme et reposant. Bons restaurants, bon service, piscines, transport vers Hersonissos et la plage Stalis (beach comber avec supers installations et bonne nourriture), super massage crétois à l'huile d'olive avec Anna et Nikos au spa de l'hôtel.

Uns hat es rundum gefallen. Schöne, gepflegte und weitläufige Anlage mit kleinen Wohneinheiten. Super freundliches Personal. Schönes Buffet mit großer Auswahl (nur vegetarische Optionen könnten noch mehr sein). Die Musik beim Abendessen war uns oft zu laut, da man sich nicht mehr richtig unterhalten konnte. Für die Lage braucht man ein Auto falls man Ausflüge machenmöchte, haben wir aber bewusst so ausgesucht. Es gibt ansonsten Shuttles in den Ort und zum Strand mit kostenlosen Liegen in einem netten Beachclub (Hotelkooperation). Klare Weiterempfehlung von uns.

Wir hatten als Familie eine kleine Wohnung mit Küche. Das war super und wir waren flexibel mit Halbpension. Das Essen hat uns geschmeckt und es hat eine gute Auswahl gegeben. In unserem Zimmer hatten wir alles was wir brauchten. Die Unterkunft ist etwas älter aber sauber. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Babybett und der Babyhochstuhl bereits in unserem Zimmer. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten eine grosse Terasse mit Liegestühlen und Meerblick. Zum Meer fährt täglich mehrmals ein Shuttlebus diesen haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir ein Mietauto hatten (würde ich auch empfehlen). Der Pool war uns zu kalt. Der Indoorpool ist sehr klein und nur für Erwachsene. Wer in die Sauna möchte muss diese vorgängig reservieren, nue als Info. Die Minigolfamlage haben wir fast täglich mit unserem kleinen Sohn genutzt. Mein Mann hat auch Tennis ausprobiert und es hat ihm Spass gemacht. Die Hauseigenen Katzen sind friedlich und unserem Sohn hat es gefallen. Der Spielplatz war toll. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön mit vielfältigen Pflanzen und sehr sauber gehalten. Wunderschön. Es gibt einen Waschraum mit Waschmaschiene, Tumbler und Waschmittel. Man kann bei der Reception reservieren und erhält einen Schlüssel für drei Stunden zugang zum Waschraum (Kosten 10€). Wir durften auf Nachfrage kostenlos eine Stunde später auschecken, danke! Das Personal war immer freundlich und alle sehr kinderlieb! Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und als Familie Willkommen!

Excellent customer service with such nice and genuine people, great facilities, various sports and activities available. Great value for money. The things which could be improved in my opinion are: 1. Extending closing time for the swimming pools, from 6pm to maybe 8pm(?) 2. Spa - make it possible to pay on the room as I was requested to pay immediately at the point of booking (3 days in advance). I didn’t have my card with me so was given an hour to pay! But I wasn’t planning to return to the room and wanted to relax. I found the whole experience stressful, with hard sale attitude….. and please do not continue comment/speak to your colleague in Greek during a conversation with a foreign client, it’s rude. After a while I decided to cancel the massage as the whole thing felt wrong. Definitely will recommend this beautiful hotel, surrounded by nature, with great views and friendly vibe :)

This was a lovely place to visit but we felt it could be so much more with a little investment. The two pools were rather crowded and the hotel should make one adult only which would enhance the experience. You must have a car to get around as it’s a little out of the way. The accommodation is good and spacious and we found the staff really lovely. One last little gripe was the speed that some of the staff drive golf buggies around the paths and annoyingly never offer to give you a lift which we found strange, that said we were comparing it to Dubai where the staff that drive buggies always offer to give you a lift. I’m just lazy :-)

I stayed for two weeks with my 7 year old. We had a lovely relaxing time and didn’t want to leave! The hotel grounds are beautiful and spacious providing lots of entertainment options from the three pools to minature golf, tennis court, cooking classes, kids club and spa. The staff are wonderful - very caring and motivated. The food is delicious, fresh, varied and plentiful. Thank you to everyone for making the stay so delightful. We’ll be back! Nicola and Leo

Wonderful resort, incredible staff and service, nothing was too much trouble. very good accommodation, cleaned every day. The best food we have ever had at an all inclusive resort, the Rodies was incredible! Special thanks to the very welcoming F&B manager, main restaurant manager, Maria ( at Citrus), Theodora and every member of the team who looked after us. We will be returning.Massive thank you.

Everything was absolutely fantastic during our stay of 9 nights. The staff were very serviceminded, smiling and professional. The resort was very clean, the pools kept in mint condition and the surroundsings green and blooming. Expecially the food at Rodies was very nice and had plenty to choose from on the menu. The free shuttle service to the lovely beach club was a nice supplement to the whole experience. I give my highest recommendation to families, couples or singles who are looking for a special treat. Thank you for a wonderful stay and great memories for my kids, parents and I.

We came for the second time and enjoyed our stay at Village Heights very much. The staff is super friendly and supportive, and the facilities are very well maintained. Couldn't imagine a more relaxing vacation in a resort.

Fantastic rustic and rural getaway in Crete. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too big an ask. Everyone we met on the trip were also very friendly and kind. The resort itself is pretty faultless, every member of staff is super kind and friendly, they all looked after us so well from reception to restaurants. Food was fantastic at Rodies - probably the best meal we had as well as Sofas Taverna in old town Hersonissos. Cooking class was brilliant and well worth the money; wine tasting was very generous and we had a three-course meal. There's no huge international buffet or anything on mass scale, which for me I love! If you're not interested in the local culture it probably isn't for you as it's very traditional, tranquil and just the perfect rural holiday for a total switch-off. We'd love to be back. Pools were immaculately kept and very peaceful, even with the odd kids around (we did go in September so it was quieter). Never had to queue for anything and all maintained well, no drinks or food left lying around. The room is probably the only part which needs touching up, it's a little dated but also is a style thing - very Cretan and rustic. It was perfect for what we needed, though the bathroom was in need of a proper clean as we had some ants/dirt behind the door. Not a major issue as everything else was pretty much bang on!

Séjour d’une nuit en direction de l’aéroport. Accueil mitigé, on nous a mis dans un hébergement au fonds du complexe (chambre 713). Le logement n’avait pas été nettoyé ou pas depuis la saison estivale (nombres araignées et poussières) Il y a des traces d’humidité partout et énormément de moustiques, impossible d’ouvrir. Nous étions avec un bébé, un lit parapluie avait été prévu mais on nous a mis dans une chambre avec trois grands escaliers pour accéder (pratique avec une poussette) alors que d’autres étaient plus accessibles. Le complexe est très vieillissant, isolé des centres d’intérêts. Aucune aide avec nos bagages au départ. Et pour finir, on a voulu me faire payer une deuxième fois la chambre me soutenant que ça n’avait pas été payé par hôtel.com Bref une déception totale pour une seule nuit, pauvre vacancier qui viennent passer la semaine dans cette magnifique île qu’est la Crète avec de très beaux endroits.

We stayed for a week end of August. All restaurants staff are lovely, polite, professional and caring. Reception staff seemed a bit too cold. BEWARE! POSITIVE - The staff are excellent -helpful, polite and knowledgable. The setting of the main restaurant with views over the pool is lovely, service is great & buffet food was of a good quality. Entertainment here was great. The pool areas are very clean with plenty of sunbeds. Beautiful grounds and communal areas. NEGATIVES - The All Inclusive is terrible! It is nowhere near the standard you would expect for the price point with so many items charged at an additional cost. We would expect this for high end items like wines, seafood etc but the majority of things incurred extra costs (focaccia bread, local cocktails, all except one beer, freshly squeezed orange juice etc). You can only see the additional charges upon arrival using the App. We complained to the hotel who said that the "all-inclusive are for selected food and beverages only except the special cocktails and food due to the price”! The rooms are very dated and uncomfortable - not luxury at all. The mattress on the sofa bed was rock hard, bathrooms are dated with a hairdryer attached to the wall and over bath shower/shower curtain. No coffee machines, just a few sachets of nescafe and sugar scattered on a tray when you arrive which were not replenished. The rooms were clean but not spotless. Our towels were not regularly replaced despite being left in a pile to indicate that they were dirty. We were expecting authentic Greek with modern conveniences but these rooms could easily have been from 20 years ago.

I had the most amazing stay at this property. Everything was absolutely top notch from start to finish. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained and even better than the photos. Fantastic rustic and rural getaway in Crete. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful, nothing was too big an ask. Everyone we met on the trip were also very friendly and kind. The resort itself is pretty faultless, every member of staff is super kind and friendly, they all looked after us so well from reception to restaurants. Food was fantastic at Rodies - probably the best meal we had as well as Sofas Taverna in old town Hersonissos. Cooking class was brilliant and well worth the money; wine tasting was very generous and we had a three-course meal. There's no huge international buffet or anything on mass scale, which for me I love! If you're not interested in the local culture it probably isn't for you as it's very traditional, tranquil and just the perfect rural holiday for a total switch-off. We'd love to be back. Pools were immaculately kept and very peaceful, even with the odd kids around (we did go in September so it was quieter). Never had to queue for anything and all maintained well, no drinks or food left lying around. The room is probably the only part which needs touching up, it's a little dated but also is a style thing - very Cretan and rustic. It was perfect for what we needed, though the bathroom was in need of a proper clean as we had some ants/dirt behind the door. Not a major issue as everything else was pretty much bang on!

We stayed at the resort for 10 days and overall had a good stay — but it’s not a 5-star resort. The place feels quite run-down, especially the rooms, which haven’t been renovated in many years. Pros: - Very friendly and helpful staff. - Beautiful and well-maintained surroundings. - We were quickly offered a new room when we asked. Highly recommend choosing one with a sea view — others can have a very dull view. - There’s a cozy little backyard area behind Rodius where you can enjoy a drink in the evening. Sadly, it’s often empty since it’s far from the main restaurant. - For the price per night, comparing to many other resort, it is priceworthy. Cons: - The lifeguards are overly strict. I made a small dive in the pool and was immediately whistled at — very uncomfortable. I wasn’t the only one who noticed; several guests felt the same. - The rooms and parts of the hotel feel outdated and in need of renovation. - Half board only includes the main buffet restaurant. Although the buffet is pretty good for being a buffet. Tips: - Rent a car if you want to explore! Avoid Hersonissos — we recommend Piskopiano instead. If you’re traveling with kids, visit Acqua Water Park (5 mins away). For a great beach nearby, go to Potamos. Summary: A good stay overall, but the standard doesn’t match what you’d expect from a 5-star resort.

Wir hatten als Familie eine kleine Wohnung mit Küche. Das war super und wir waren flexibel mit Halbpension. Das Essen hat uns geschmeckt und es hat eine gute Auswahl gegeben. In unserem Zimmer hatten wir alles was wir brauchten. Die Unterkunft ist etwas älter aber sauber. Bei unserer Ankunft war das Babybett und der Babyhochstuhl bereits in unserem Zimmer. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet. Wir hatten eine grosse Terasse mit Liegestühlen und Meerblick. Zum Meer fährt täglich mehrmals ein Shuttlebus diesen haben wir nicht genutzt, da wir ein Mietauto hatten (würde ich auch empfehlen). Der Pool war uns zu kalt. Der Indoorpool ist sehr klein und nur für Erwachsene. Wer in die Sauna möchte muss diese vorgängig reservieren, nue als Info. Die Minigolfamlage haben wir fast täglich mit unserem kleinen Sohn genutzt. Mein Mann hat auch Tennis ausprobiert und es hat ihm Spass gemacht. Die Hauseigenen Katzen sind friedlich und unserem Sohn hat es gefallen. Der Spielplatz war toll. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön mit vielfältigen Pflanzen und sehr sauber gehalten. Wunderschön. Es gibt einen Waschraum mit Waschmaschiene, Tumbler und Waschmittel. Man kann bei der Reception reservieren und erhält einen Schlüssel für drei Stunden zugang zum Waschraum (Kosten 10€). Wir durften auf Nachfrage kostenlos eine Stunde später auschecken, danke! Das Personal war immer freundlich und alle sehr kinderlieb! Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und als Familie Willkommen!

This was a lovely place to visit but we felt it could be so much more with a little investment. The two pools were rather crowded and the hotel should make one adult only which would enhance the experience. You must have a car to get around as it’s a little out of the way. The accommodation is good and spacious and we found the staff really lovely. One last little gripe was the speed that some of the staff drive golf buggies around the paths and annoyingly never offer to give you a lift which we found strange, that said we were comparing it to Dubai where the staff that drive buggies always offer to give you a lift. I’m just lazy :-)

Overall a nice two week stay. Apartments are starting to look and feel really dated. Room 1104 was right next to the pool but a bit noisy with dragging chairs of the restaurant early in the morning and late at night. The resort felt a little less friendlier than we experienced in previous stays - just felt kind staff didn’t interact as they have done previously. More casual options for dinner are limited in the resort but it’s easy enough to get into town - but it would be better if the resort put on more shuttle buses after 1945pm. Overall a nice stay and a worthwhile trip. 4/5 stars!

My stay was amazing first time travelling to a resort like this solo and was incredibly relaxing the room was amazing and the view was brilliant. The bar staff were incredible and really made the evenings memorable the food an entertainment was brilliant. Loved the a la carte options and the view from the upstairs restaurant was amazing at sunset. Overall would 100% stay here again.

Hotel lovely, staff fantastic. The only two issues I have with this hotel are the Animation team, very rude and just ignore you. They have there favourites and ignore everyone else... The other issue is, the hotel is a Timeshare hotel. So quite a few of the guests are returning customers. Not all but a large majority treat it like its their own hotel. And look down, and talk down to the other paying guests. Again very rude and think they are above everyone else!

Excellent customer service with such nice and genuine people, great facilities, various sports and activities available. Great value for money. The things which could be improved in my opinion are: 1. Extending closing time for the swimming pools, from 6pm to maybe 8pm(?) 2. Spa - make it possible to pay on the room as I was requested to pay immediately at the point of booking (3 days in advance). I didn’t have my card with me so was given an hour to pay! But I wasn’t planning to return to the room and wanted to relax. I found the whole experience stressful, with hard sale attitude….. and please do not continue comment/speak to your colleague in Greek during a conversation with a foreign client, it’s rude. After a while I decided to cancel the massage as the whole thing felt wrong. Definitely will recommend this beautiful hotel, surrounded by nature, with great views and friendly vibe :)

This was a lovely place to visit but we felt it could be so much more with a little investment. The two pools were rather crowded and the hotel should make one adult only which would enhance the experience. You must have a car to get around as it’s a little out of the way. The accommodation is good and spacious and we found the staff really lovely. One last little gripe was the speed that some of the staff drive golf buggies around the paths and annoyingly never offer to give you a lift which we found strange, that said we were comparing it to Dubai where the staff that drive buggies always offer to give you a lift. I’m just lazy :-)

La terasse trés grande , par contre dommage avec une telle terasse ne 'avoir qu'une chambre Enfin la plage à hersonissos ou il y a un accord est franchement trés moyenne, de plus sans location de voiture trés difficile de faire quelque chose aux alentours à pieds meme pour aller au vieux village. vous devriez prevoir des petites navettes entre l'hotel et le vieux hersonissos. de plus il n'etait pas indiqué que nous n'avions pas de navette à l'aeroport et donc taxi. sinon le sejour s'est bien passé.

Absolutely beautiful hotel with great amenities. Staff are so lovely and welcoming. The rooms have everything you need to make your own food. We went half board and the food in the restaurant was lovely but we’re vegetarian so the choice was slightly limited.

This resort is so beautiful! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was truly magical! The staff is so friendly and the food was amazing! We are already planning on coming back for many years to come!

My stay was amazing first time travelling to a resort like this solo and was incredibly relaxing the room was amazing and the view was brilliant. The bar staff were incredible and really made the evenings memorable the food an entertainment was brilliant. Loved the a la carte options and the view from the upstairs restaurant was amazing at sunset. Overall would 100% stay here again.

Beautiful surroundings, friendly and professional staff, and delicious food. The local cats were a wonderful surprise and also super friendly. There were numerous activites at the resort and a convenient bus to the beach area. Beach Comber at Stallis beach was beautiful, relatively quiet, served excellent cocktails and amazing food. My only critics of Village Heights were: 1. What is/is not included in half board is not well explained at time of booking - I only found out this information on day 2. 2. The power cut out multiple times daily. Only for a few seconds, so it never caused an issue, but it was slightly worrying. 3. The sign at the cats feeding station states they are neutered, but they are not; kittens ahoy!

BEWARE! POSITIVE - The staff are excellent -helpful, polite and knowledgable. The setting of the main restaurant with views over the pool is lovely, service is great & buffet food was of a good quality. Entertainment here was great. The pool areas are very clean with plenty of sunbeds. Beautiful grounds and communal areas. NEGATIVES - The All Inclusive is terrible! It is nowhere near the standard you would expect for the price point with so many items charged at an additional cost. We would expect this for high end items like wines, seafood etc but the majority of things incurred extra costs (focaccia bread, local cocktails, all except one beer, freshly squeezed orange juice etc). You can only see the additional charges upon arrival using the App. We complained to the hotel who said that the "all-inclusive are for selected food and beverages only except the special cocktails and food due to the price”! The rooms are very dated and uncomfortable - not luxury at all. The mattress on the sofa bed was rock hard, bathrooms are dated with a hairdryer attached to the wall and over bath shower/shower curtain. No coffee machines, just a few sachets of nescafe and sugar scattered on a tray when you arrive which were not replenished. The rooms were clean but not spotless. Our towels were not regularly replaced despite being left in a pile to indicate that they were dirty. We were expecting authentic Greek with modern conveniences but these rooms could easily have been from 20 years ago.

We enjoyed our stay at Village Heights Resort. The staff were amazing and looked after us well. The food was great, with plenty of choice to choose from, including the variety of restaurants they have. Rooms were of good size and were cleaned daily. Only downside was the bathrooms could be modernised. Good views of the sea. The free shuttle bus from the hotel to the centre of Hersonissos was very helpful. The hotel also had lots of entertainment on offer, particularly the Cretan Night, where they had live music and a dancing show. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to relax and be away from the centre of it all.

We enjoys the property and the proximity to the airport. The resort was 5 minute drive to several restaurants off property. The small town near property was cute and had several restaurants and places for drinks. We would stay again.

This place is honestly amazing. Every member of staff is helpful and friendly. I stayed with my friends wedding party and we all had an amazing time. They took amazing care of all of us. Would love to come back and stay longer to experience everything they have. Thank you!
