The hotel was great we'd definitely stay here again. The elevator was not reliable (didn't seem to be working) but there were only two floors so taking the stairs was not an issue. Housekeeping was very responsive and helpful as was the hotel bar service.

Property was clean, aesthetic was super cute. Could walk to all major Hollywood areas. Only issue was there was no bartender and nobody as backup- they had the barista tending to the pool guests who wasn’t familiar with simple drinks. However when the drinks were incorrect they were very quick to comp the bill! Would stay again!

The hotel is lovely and the lobby and pool and bar looked great. We were both having difficulty walking, and the elevator was very unreliable. Sometimes staff had to go downstairs to send the elevator up. Honestly the door next door to. us squeaked and made a lot of noise and the people were in and out so it was crazy noisy. The beds were great, room was really nice.!

Pool was closed due to contamination. Room was never cleaned during my 4 nights stay. Neighborhood sketchy.

No housekeeping unless you request apparently… key didn’t work second day, advised you need to reset keys everyday - never come across this before Pool was feral - I’m talking clumps of hair floating around, old used towels left around the area Parking is great Overpriced for what you receive - definitely do better, and the area is bad. Close to attractions, walk of stars etc - but take your life in your hands stepping outside….

This used to be a Days Inn and you can kind of tell, but I have to say whoever did the design did a great job! It’s very very upgraded. I loved it. The location was perfect, the room was very nice, very comfortable beds and beautiful fixtures and upgrades. The parking is $48 a day not including tax, which I guess is on par with what is an LA but I almost passed out when I heard about that price (I live in Seattle). But no negative at all with that because I’m pretty sure every other hotel charges something similar. Quite an easy experience getting in and out of valet, the in room coffee is so good! I was able to drink it without any cream because it was really delicious… One of those Nespresso machines. I wish I remember the name of the gentleman for when I checked in, but he was fantastic. There were some newer employees there who were striving to do well, also. Cute pool in the center but no one seems to really use it but it’s nice to relax there and order drinks. The drinks themselves were awesome just very expensive, but again that’s probably on par with LA standards. There’s a resort fee, which I failed to pay attention to when I booked the place and that’s $25 a day… So the entire stay got a bit pricey between that and the actual room and the parking. Overall I really liked it and I would just do Uber if I stayed there again versus parking. The only thing I would suggest is have somebody available at the bar if headcount permits. I waited 15 min at one point.

Normally you want parking to be easily accessible but it was not. Our sink was clogged, the tv remote did not work and though they said someone was being sent over, no one came. I also found a small blood stain on the comforter that had been washed. Overall, really wanted to love the place as it is aesthetically pleasing & employees are VERY kind, it’s just small things that could be fixed. For an overnight trip we didn’t want to bother and just wanted to get our stay over with basically.

Hotel is instagram-friendly and that’s about it. It is filthy if you look around inside and out. Upon checking in, I realized the toilet is so close to the shower that I couldn’t sit down, the bed sheets had hair and dirt on it, the sink was clogged, the shower leaked into the main room, and the shower pump bottles were empty. Additionally, the key cards didn’t work (seemed to be a problem for many) and the surrounding area is terrifying with homeless people lurking outside. I checked out after 2.5 hours and found a nicer hotel.

Gorgeous room, very clean, extremely helpful front desk staff.

No place to sit and eat breakfast. Room had no towels when we arrived. Sink is in different part of room than toilet. Hall carpet was disgusting. Room was very dated. Asked for a drink at the bar beside check in and the guy said the full bar was closed. It was only 7pm. I would never stay there again.

The staff was really nice 10/10. Our main problem was the room was not as clean as we would hope. The bathroom vent was full of dust and the floor looks like it wasn't scrubbed thoroughly. Although the room isnt as bad. It wasn't cleaned to the standard of a 4 star hotel. We previously stayed at Pali hotel in san diego and used it as comparison for this review.

A nice little Oasis with a cool atmosphere! Clean room, amazing amenities. Great value for money. Location excellent.

The place was relaxing and cute but in reality, we chose it for its cleanliness rating only to find a large clump of dark hair in the swimming pool that was there at least one whole day and in my daughters room, they found another clump of dark hair in the corner of the shower. My room appeared clean except for the used bar of soap that was dried to the soap dish on the counter.

This was my second stay at this cute boutique hotel. At check-in, received coupons for 2 free cocktails. Great bartender and great drinks! The pool area is cute and relaxing. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Location is close to the Hollywood Bowl for our concert. Room was cute, comfortable and very clean. Would stay again.

This property had a large ball of hair floating in the pool and in the shower upon check in. I was mortified. When it was brought to their attention, the staff didn’t seem concerned. They simply came and removed the hair.

The Palihotel Hollywood was excellent in every way. It has a serene and "retro" ambience with attention to detail and comfort. The lobby, courtyard pool area, bar and breakfast area were inviting. The staff is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was large and well-appointed, and the beds were so comfortable. It is also very quiet.We enjoyed our stay and will absolutely return next year!

terrible noisy air-conditioner and cannot shut it off

Property was located on a busy street, there were a few homeless encampments across the street. The air conditioning in the room was not working. The property seemed a little first and unkept. Would not recommend staying there.

The pool area and the whole as a whole really cute, but we did however run into some issues like the WiFi connection kept disconnecting and we weren’t able to watch movies and the ac was leaking. We called and told the front desk and they said they would send someone to check both the WiFi and ac unit. On check out they told me I had to pay for parking, but when we checked in the guy never told us anything about paying for parking, we also told them about the WiFi and rudely cut my boyfriend off and said “no one else complained so maybe it was just you” like wow! It was cool that they discounted the parking because as I mentioned, NO ON EVER TOLD US WE HAD TO PAY. Safe to say I will not be booking here again.

I really disliked checking in to a room without a window, only a window to a busy hallway with windows, then paying more to switch, to a room with a tiny window that didn't open and was the room next door's balcony. Check that out when you book.

The aesthetic is great, staff are lovely, the pool is great, coffees and toiletries top notch, and the location is so convenient (if not a little sketchy). However, they only clean your room if you put a sign on the door which I didn’t realise until the last day, so it would have been nice for this to just be part of the everyday service. Also, the walls and ceilings are like paper, you hear everyone’s TVs, phone alarms, and if you’re downstairs you’ll hear your upstairs neighbours as soon as they move. Also it would have been nice to have complimentary water rather than having to pay $7 from the minibar.

I had a mostly wonderful stay! The staff was incredibly friendly, and the hotel itself is beautiful with lots of modern updates. The pool area is especially gorgeous, and while the rooms aren’t huge, they are very comfortable with excellent showers. A couple of things to note for future guests: if you’re hoping for a quiet early evening and your room faces the pool, be aware that it can get quite loud with music and guests enjoying themselves. I’d also recommend requesting a second-floor room, as I experienced quite a bit of noise from the guests above me—lots of stomping and luggage rolling. One small inconvenience: while the room includes a Nespresso machine, the hotel was out of coffee pods for two days. Thankfully, there’s a Starbucks just a few doors down, though I didn’t love spending $20 on coffee that should have been provided. Overall, it’s a very nice, affordable hotel with secure parking. I felt safe throughout my stay and definitely plan to return!

Customer service from hotels.com and palihotel were not great. There were issues with my booking that I spent over 2 hrs dealing with. I had to move rooms after night 1 and 3 different people walked into my room, even a new customer with a keycard. I will never use either again.

The customer service was so great here! Loved the vibe of the hotel, cleanliness and close walking distance to so many things. Will definitely be back

Our stay was cancelled by hotels.com (0/5 stars for this) I chose the pay-at option and our stay was cancelled. the two guys running the desk were very nonchalant about the inconvenience, so that was annoying. They moved very slowly, they didnt even greet us upon arrival. the inconvenience is one thing but to not greet guests who walk in was just weird customer service.

Staff is unresponsive.

This was our second stay at this beautiful hotel, and we can definitely recommend it. This time around we did feel that the service was a little inconsistent - it was generally good, with the exception of one receptionist who made us feel unwelcome more than once during our 11 days long stay. Our overall experience was still great due to the rest of the staff. The manager, Javier, really went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.

Check in went smoothly with kind staff. Unfortunately, the cook staff didn't show up both mornings so we couldn't have breakfast as planned. This isn't in an area where we wanted to go searching for a breakfast place, and the IHop across the street wasn't appealing. We asked for room service, but I guess that didn't include fresh towels... The pool tile is very slippery. I'm surprised a hotel would make that unsafe selection for their hotel. To end on a positive note, the staff was friendly including the bartender.

My experience was okay, could have been better. Upon check in I was told they are valet only and they charge $48 per night for valet. I honesty wish I would have known this before booking. When we checked in the front desk agent let me know that we were going to receive complementary late check out and that they were going to be waiving the resort fee. At first I was happy but as soon as we got to our room I realized immediately why we received those perks. They gave us what seemed like the smallest room in the hotel. The room was under the stair case and had one window facing the inside hallway. When you walked past the room on the outside you could literally see in our room. I felt like we were part of some exhibit. When I asked if we could switch rooms that agent said we could switch rooms but that we would not get late check out and that he would have to charge us the resort fee. At that point I just wanted to get out of that room so we agreed and were moved to a new room. My only complaint about the room that we were moved to, was that the TV was not working. When I called down to the front desk to see if they could send someone to look at the TV, the front desk agent said he would send someone up but no one ever came. I was pretty disappointed overall especially considering how much we paid for one night!

This hotel definitely had its charm and the staff were polite. If you are looking for a hotel that has good coverage in terms of staff, and expect basic requests like housekeeping, towels, soap, etc- you may want to rethink booking. In theory the hotel and services would have been wonderful, but execution and reliability were extremely short. We had used the text messaging service the hotel promoted to request for services which went unnoticed. Even when calling and being assured we were on the list to get our room cleaned we waited 3 days with the request unfulfilled. Opted staying an extra night due to spontaneous plans (we stayed a total of 5 nights) they assured us our room would for sure get cleaned and came back from a long day with our request still not met. Expedia marketed this hotel as a place we would get VIP treatment and that was further from what we got unfortunately. Another thing to be mindful of is the hotel room descriptions on expedia are not accurate, when arriving to the hotel they provided us with a room that was not the room we paid for due to the description being incorrect. Expedia did get us a small refund to try and accommodate for the mishap. This hotel would be much better if management was done well and if the staff had enough support. I can tell they were all stretched very thin- and they were trying to do what they can. A lot of leaky pipes in the hotel garage so be careful where you park.

We loved our stay at the Palihotel. The hotel is adorable, pool area is very nice and esthetic. The pool itself looked like it needed some cleaning, water was murky. Drinks were all good and service. Our room was clean, beds were very comfortable. Great shower pressure. Location was great, we walked to the walk of fame, took a 10 min Lyft to Universal Studios, and 35 min Lyft to Santa Monica. There are lots of places to eat around here also, we got Doordash a few times delivered to the pool while we swam. The hotel offers food also, but the menu isn't very diverse (I had a picky kid). We liked our stay, thanks.

Great Location! Walkable to Hollywood Blvd, In and Out is right next door and so is IHOP, Staff was VERY NICE and Welcoming! The Breakfast at the hotel was good and we had poolside tables to eat at!

Great customer service from Honde. I loved the vibe of the hotel. So comfy and modern. The bed was sooo comfy and the water pressure was awesome. I loved how there were soo many food options near by that is walking distance. Hollywood walk of fame is literally down the street. Universal studios is close by as well. Totally recommend and will definitely come back!

Excellent location; a couple blocks from central Hollywood Blvd. Very cute quiet hotel and everything is new. Attentive staff. Loved the pool area!

Great location to Hollywood sites. Could walk to Melrose shops and walk of fame attractions. Price was decent as well. Secure self parking was also convenient.

What we liked, location to Hollywood blvd. We were able to try In-N- Out burger and walk to the Hollywood walk of fame, Dolby Center, etc. Cons: the surrounding area is dirty with a lot of trash all over the streets. Overall, the area just seemed to feel way too dirty to ne that close to Hollywood.

Very cute and comfortable stay, and the staff is excellent. Only downside is the walls are a bit thin. Very close walk to Hollywood Blvd so lots to do, but the area is also a little rough around the edges.

It's a nice property, good bed and pillows. Cute design. The pool looks beautiful but it wasn't heated so we didn't get to swim. My complaints: No complimentary water, usually you get 2 bottles of water when u stay at a place like this. No ice buckets. No soda machine. No drink service from the bar after 8. We were never able to get our free drinks because the time restrictions. They wouldn't/ couldn't sell us a soda after 8 even though the bar is a part of the check-in area and the same person mans it. That's just ridiculous.

This is lovely, smallish hotel located a half block from Hollywood High. Rooms are spacious, as is the area around the very nice pool in the courtyard. Staff is very friendly and efficient. I would’ve wished that the bar stayed open a little later at night and that they served something besides croissants and muffins for breakfast, but that’s a minor issue, since there are good restaurants within walking distance, including a nine minute walk to Mel’s diner. I loved this two-story hotel with lots of character and would definitely stay here again.

The hotel looks nice, but there were some significant issues during my 2 night stay; 1. The sheets on my bed were stained when I pulled back the comforter 2. The carpet had not been vacuumed well, as evidenced by crumpled Kleenex at the base of the coffee table 3. There was no iron in the room; only a steamer. When I requested an iron, I was told there was only one on the property and that I would be given a call back as soon as it was located. I didn’t receive a call back. I called back after nearly an hour and was told that no one could find the iron. Weird, but mostly annoying that I had to call back to find this out. 4. There’s a 50/50 martini on their drink menu. During my stay, I ordered from the bar on 3 occasions. There was no dry vermouth in the bar, nor was it ever replaced during my stay. Annoying and odd for any bar to not have dry vermouth (or to replace it by the next shift), but more perplexing when the menu lists a drink that is dependent upon the ingredient. 5. Food was unavailable. Sat at the bar from 5-6pm, a typical time to get a drink and a snack and was told the kitchen was closed. Couldn’t even get nuts or olives. The next morning, the cafe served coffee, but I was told the kitchen wasn’t open to serve their breakfast menu, so I walked across the street to IHOP. Not ideal, Palihotel.

The pool was closed and we weren’t told by the front desk when we arrived. The doors had a sign saying to keep closed. No coffee in the rooms and there was no barista on a Sunday morning. There was no body wash in the large bottle attached to the wall in the shower. The mini fridge was full so we couldn’t put our own drinks in without having to remove everything else. The bed was comfortable with very soft pillows. Air temperature was good and blackout curtains did the job for a good sleep. It was ok but not a good value.

Super cute hotel has a resort feel in the middle of the city. Breakfast options in the morning were fresh and delicious, staff was all wonderful and kind.
