O Emiliano é excelente, foi nossa segunda vez no hotel. O atendimento na piscina é muito bom. O serviço de praia tb é um diferencial importante, mesmo a praia não sendo aquela maravilha. Voltaria ainda muitas vezes.. o ambiente do hotel me relaxa.

This is not a 5 star hotel. And not well maintained. Check in time is at 3 pm we were given a room 2 hours 40 minutes latee asked why no reply. One elevator is out of order for some time were told a spare part needed must he brought from Germany so it is not working for sometime and the 2 others have an erratic behavior not to mention the delay in goimg up and down ( up to 9 minutes) we had a suite the balcony door was stuck and deemed impossible to repair by the staff, toilet was Japanese electric terrible noise for a long time after. Not once was the mikibar refilled. We were charged a 2nd time the room charge staff told us per expedia payment should be done on check in they apologized on check out their mistake still waiting for the credit to arrive. Staff not smiling or greeting guests entering they orefer to talk to each other even at the reception. Food mediocre. No this is not a 5 star experience

O hotel é uma delícia.. pequeno, Poucas pessoas, ótimo atendimento. Tem serviço de cadeira na praia o q traz um conforto extra. A praia na frente do hotel não é maravilhosa, mas da pra pegar um sol. A piscina é muito boa e a vista deslumbrante. Recomendo!

Das Emiliano ist ein Hingucker, vor allem die Dachterrasse mit Pool. Der Staff ist sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war leider schon etwas abgewohnt, an einem Abend taute sogar der Kühlschrank einfach ab und bildete einen Pool Wasser auf dem Boden. Auch gibt es keinen guten Abzug im Bad und daher sind in den Fugen großflächig verschimmelte Stellen. Das Mobiliar ist recht abgenutzt. Zudem ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis bei diesem Zustand „fragwürdig“.

My recent experience at Hotel Emiliano Rio de Janeiro was deeply disappointing and entirely inconsistent with the standard of excellence the establishment claims to offer. During my stay, I encountered structural and sanitary conditions unacceptable for a hotel of this category, including: -Strong mold odor throughout the room; -Visible mold on the air-conditioning vents; -A curtain that fell during the night, preventing adequate rest; -Stained and unhygienic upholstery; -A coffee table with a cracked marble top; -A damaged bathroom floor, posing a physical safety risk to guests. In addition, the hotel prohibited visitors from entering the guest room, citing an internal policy that was never presented at check-in. To this date, the hotel manager, have refused to provide a copy of the alleged document, despite my formal request. It is important to highlight that the hotel itself authorized the entry of a professional from hair salon into my room on the day of check-in, which demonstrates inconsistency and contradiction in applying this rule, constituting a violation of the principle of good faith.

They left little treats in the room daily: hair tie, fruit, champagne, bath salts for NYE tradition, desserts. I will only stay there when I visit Rio.

Great stay at Emiliano. Service was very good, attentive staff and able to accommodate our requests. The room was comfortable and impressive enough. Highlights were the bluetooth audio system in the ceiling and the powerful, consistent and hot shower. The room also had good soundproofing as with the balcony sealed we couldn't hear any noise from Copacabana beach. Small touches like the complimentary flip flops and the birthday cake were nice. The massages we got from the on-site spa were exceptional! Only issue we had during our stay was that the sink was fairly blocked.

It’s a very nice hotel, but old and needs a lot of maintenance. They have a general problem with electricity not working properly. We walked into our room, TV was working. As soon as my husband put his phone into USB outlet, all electricity in room turned off. We called maintenance, they came right away, but after 30 min fixing wires, I asked if we can be moved to another room. It took another hour for them to find another room, eventhough the hotel was very empty. Instead of getting an upgrade for our inconvenience, they put us in exact same room on different floor. New rom was under maintenance and door to bathroom did not close, but since we are a couple we didn’t care. Electricity worked at the time!!! But throughout our 3 night stay, we discovered that only 1 of 3 USB plugs worked and there were other electrical issues. Lights turned off/on by themselves. Twice they turned off while I was in the shower - all the lights in the entire room/bathroom. Then in the middle of the night they turned on by themselves - twice first night and once second night. The other issue was the AC vent at the top of the room which kept dripping on the floor and left puddles. Breakfast was excellent, huge selection, excellent service. Be prepared that the front desk staff are a bunch of kids in very strange unisex beige outfits. They smile but barely speak English. The hotel is in a good section of Copacabana beach, toward the end near Ipanema. They have a section of beach with lounge chairs

Unfortunately, the quality of service has noticeably declined. The reception team appeared distant and unwelcoming, conveying a sense of dissatisfaction rather than hospitality. There seemed to be a significant number of staff members in training, which may help explain the lack of coordination and polish throughout the experience. The infrastructure also feels dated. The elevators are old and unusually slow, and much of the furniture shows clear signs of wear. It is disappointing, as the hotel has lost much of the warmth and charm it once embodied. Given the current standards, I would recommend considering alternatives such as Fasano or Copacabana Palace, both of which offer a far superior level of service, comfort, and overall experience.

From arrival at the Emiliano Rio, the staff was courteous, accommodating, and helpful. Special shout outs to Brandon, Leon, Fonseco, and Hugo. Brandon at the front desk concierge was helpful in securing a prime restaurant reservation, and transportation/tickets for visiting Christ the Redeemer. Leon welcomed us and gave a great tour of the hotel upon our arrival. Fonseco also welcomed us and was just an all-around joy. Hugo was incredible helpful at the beach and the hotel's beach service was stellar. Wonderful and restful trip. Much more than just a beautiful hotel, the staff takes the Emiliano to another level. Thank you!

This is not a 5 star hotel. And not well maintained. Check in time is at 3 pm we were given a room 2 hours 40 minutes latee asked why no reply. One elevator is out of order for some time were told a spare part needed must he brought from Germany so it is not working for sometime and the 2 others have an erratic behavior not to mention the delay in goimg up and down ( up to 9 minutes) we had a suite the balcony door was stuck and deemed impossible to repair by the staff, toilet was Japanese electric terrible noise for a long time after. Not once was the mikibar refilled. We were charged a 2nd time the room charge staff told us per expedia payment should be done on check in they apologized on check out their mistake still waiting for the credit to arrive. Staff not smiling or greeting guests entering they orefer to talk to each other even at the reception. Food mediocre. No this is not a 5 star experience

The hotel is excellent. Service from all the staff was excellent. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Great location right across the street from Copacabana beach. View from the rooftop pool/bar is incredible! Great place to spend a few days in Rio. Plus if you want to go to Ipanema beach it is an easy walk of about 5 blocks. There are many restaurants within walking distance. Recommended 100%

The service at this property was top notch. The staff always greeted you with a smile and were happy to help in any way. The property location was great. Walk across the street to cococabana beach and short walk to Impena beach. The views from the pool were amazing. There were some fabulous (and cheap) restaurants right outside the door of the hotel.The breakfast at the hotel was very expensive and not worth it in my opinion.

O hotel precisa de uma reforma urgente, a água do chuveiro passa pra dentro do quarto mármore quebrado no chá do chuveiro, espelho do banheiro todo oxidado, uma vergonha pra quem se apresenta como um 5 estrelas, os móveis da piscina todos oxidados, café da manhã na piscina com um preço absurdo para um café de padaria de 5°categoria, na entrada me informaram que teriam duas opções de café da manhã, no restaurante ou no Roof top, optei pelo roof em função da vista e o café foi cobrado à parte e foi péssimo, já tinha pago uma reserva de um quarto de R$ 3.200 e chegando lá descobri que meu quarto não tinha vista, optei por uma mudança de categoria e paguem mais R$ 1.300,00 pela mudança de quarto por um quarto em condições péssimas, na saída paguei minha conta de consumo, fui surpreendido com a conta do café da manhã reclamando que não tinha sido informado mas tudo bem, erro meu, paguei meu consumo +- R$ 1.200,00 e pra completar a loucura recebi uma mensagem da recepção do hotel me cobrando um consumo que não era meu, informei que já tinha paga a minha conta ainda assim houve uma insistência da recepção na cobrança por mais algumas vezes até que relatei exatamente o que tinha consumido na piscina e horas depois me mandaram uma mensagem pedindo desculpas pela cobrança!, vergonhoso para que se coloca em uma posição de 5 estrelas, fui pra lá porque o Fairmont é o Fasano não tinham vaga para nunca mais voltar!

I stayed at Janeiro, Fasano and Emiliano on this trip and Emiliano was by far the best. The food was incredible and beautifully presented, the welcome gifts were thoughtful (and this was the only hotel that paid attention to the fact that I couldn’t eat gluten) and the staff were the best and friendliest. The rooms are gorgeous and well designed and the pool is amazing, they even provide sunscreen. Next time I will only stay at Emiliano!

The service was superb. Property shows some wear after 10 years. Pool wasn’t heated as should be. Location is great and the simple but efficient beach service is a nice touch. Hopefully I’ll come back next year.
