Hotel with great location directly on the plaza with great rooftop terrace providing fantastic view of Teatro Amazonas. Hotel has 'collectables' everywhere including rooms, so it's a bit like visiting a grandmother's house with a mix of art, old cameras, books, relics, santos, furniture etc. from many decades. Some would call it like sleeping in an antique shop... others would be fascinated and call it 'eclectic'. If you want sleek and modern, this is not for you... if you like the idea of staying in a 'curiosity shop' - this is perfect. Rooms have been carved out of an old mansion, so bathrooms can be quirky but functioning. Walls can be thin - not a problem except on Saturday night when hotel is full with pre-tour groups that leave early. Rooms facing plaza are fantastic for view, but you also hear everything from the street plus your neighbor - not a problem for us except Saturday night with the parting in the plaza and noisy neighbors. Be forewarned of rooms 17, 18, 19 which have glass walls - and you know what they say about living in glass houses!!! (your neighbors will hear). Bed was firm but excellent for my back. Breakfast OK - with something for everyone, but nothing special - coffee was hot and good. Few wall outlets as expected in an older building. Wifi was sporadic with many times needing to reconnect or move to other network on another floor of the hotel. Despite this - the staff is really wonderful and the location perfect... so would stay here again.

Logement très bien situé, face au théâtre Amazonas. Secteur animé avec des manifestations culturelles et musicales type block party. Très belle terrasse offrant un beau panaorama sur la ville. On pourra également apprécier les innombrables oeuvres d'art qui tapissent les murs de l'hôtel ainsi que la décoration des pièces communes. Personnel gentil et serviable. Points subjectifs à améliorer : Un petit frigidaire dans la chambre serait utile. Notre literie était trop molle à mon goût.

Apesar da área da cobertura estar em reforma, o visual do Teatro Amazonas e a vista dos detalhes dos sinos da igreja que fica do lado, é fantástico. 👏👏👏

Muita infiltração, cheiro de mofo, roupa de cama e banho bem desgastadas e com manchas O ponto alto foi o terraço agradável e a recepcionista, empática e solícita.

Hospedagem muito aconchegante, uma extensão da sua casa, mas precisamente uma casa de avô bem religiosa. Atendimento bem humano e cordial, achei exclusivo até. A vista no terraço superior é a cereja do bolo, com toda a vista para o teatro e a praça, traz uma paz a mente.

Amazing property with bohemian chic decor, so many places to privately relax on site with amazing vistas, will return , and have already recommended to people!

Wonderful eclectic decor with lots of space with nooks and cranny’s to read and relax. Lovely roof top terrace. Rooms are great. We stayed there twice so far and will return. Breakfast is included and is very good with fresh fruit, sliced meat and cheeses. We had a great stay!

O quarto é simples, nao me atentei ao fato de nao ter frigobar e fez falta. A agua do chuveiro fica escorrendo. A recepção foi excelente em tofos momentos. O cafe da manhã é simples, poucas opcoes. Mas em relacao a sabor era bom. Ah, vale a pena subir ate o ultimo andar e ver o por do sol lindooo! De forma geral, vale pela localização e todo contexto do hotel. A decoração tem um charme a parte.

Staff is friendly and knowledgeably. Perfect location in the center of town with an amazing rooftop seating area with views of the Teatro Amazonas Grand Opera House. Nice walk to Feira Manaus Moderna port.

Gostei muito do ambiente, cada local um mais bonito que o outro. O Terraço nota 10, muito bonito. Quero deixar apenas um alerta, tem uma goteira próximo ao piano no terceiro andar e também próximo ao elevador. Fora isso, tudo maravilhoso, estão de parabéns

There were jumping bugs in the bed, we just had to turn around and leave.

Entendo que tenta oferecer um custo baixo mas coisas básicas poderiam melhorar bastante a experiência… o banheiro poderia ser melhor, as toalhas poderiam ser mais novas (estavam rasgadas de tão velhas), um café da manhã um pouquinho melhor…

As áreas comuns são melhores que os quartos. Quartos estão realmente precisando de uma reforma, as roupas de cama então finíssimas, desgastadas, manchadas e sujas. Quando mencionei para a recepção, falaram que a roupa de cama volta assim da lavanderia (ou seja, no minimo precisa trocar de lavanderia). O quarto desde 5h da manhã é totalmente claro, sem nenhum blackout. O banheiro nao tem agua quente, molha o banheiro inteiro, e as toalhas no mesmo estado da roupa de cama. O cafe da manha é tenebroso, nao tem reposicao, e colocam fatias de bananas (?) para paracer que tem mais frutas. Enfim, se eu ficasse mais dias em Manaus certamente mudaria de hotel. Parece que alguem gastou dinheiro na reforma, mas nao quer gastar na manutencao do hotel.

Die Bilder sind sehr alt und vermutlich mit Filter. Die Sauberkeit war schrecklich. Möbel verfleckt, diverse Haare in der Dusche. Einfach schmuddelig, alt und renovationsbedürftig. Die Matratzen waren die schlimmsten seit ich denken kann. Ganz einfache Schaumstoff und die Bettlaken durchsichtig ohne Schutz dazwischen. Der sehr nette Empfang und die Angestellten kompensieren dies leider nicht.

O hotel é interessante e teria muito potencial, no entanto, foi uma surpresa desagradável. A limpeza deixa muito a desejar, tinha um grão de arroz sobre um amontoado de pó. Travesseiros velhos e desconfortáveis. O banheiro não tem box e a instalação com chuveiro foi feito de forma que a agágua caia fora da área molhada. Evidenciando varoonfios de cabelo de hóspedagens anteriores. Não havia tolha de piso e tive que usar uma toalha de banho para secar o banheiro. Por fim, apesar de o hotel estar vazio, me colocaram com duas crianças num quarto .ao lado da cozinha. A porta do quarto é de vidro na parte superior e a luz do corredor tem acesso para que quem circule na área externa, accebda e apague. Assim, quando deu 6h, os funcionários da cozinha chegaram conversando alto, acenderam a luz do corredor e, coroando uma estadia péssima. Se forem reservar, se atentem para não ficarem nos quartos 5 e 6.

Localização ótima por ser perto do Teatro. Precisam melhorar e muito nas toalhas e roupa de cama. Limpeza ok mas tinha um pouco de cheiro de mofo em um dos apartamentos. Para quem busca um hotel perto dos bares, agito está excelente.

Location was excellent. The conditions and cleanness was below average.

A estadia foi muito boa. Achei que o quarto poderia estar mais limpo e achei um cabelo na roupa de cama, não sei se a troca da roupa de cama é fielmente realizada, fiquei com esta dúvida.

Can't beat the location with the theater right across the street. Plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Breakfast was amazing and the place was really clean. The decorations gave it a really homey feel. I've stayed in many places around Centro and I'll definitely be staying here again.

Boa localização, café da manhã atende bem. O ar condicionado no nosso quarto funcionou, mas a aparência dele é antiga, gerando um pouco de receio sobre ácaros. Nosso quarto tinham duas janelas e as cortinas não vedavam a claridade. Não foi algo problemático, mas acho justo relatar. O barulho dos bares ao lado e em frente são altos. Se alguém tem dificuldade de dormir com barulho deve repensar a reserva nesse hotel. Não me incomodou porque o ar condicionado era barulhento, então ele bloqueava o barulho externo.

Hotel antigo. Sensação de tudo velho. O ar condicionado não funcionava nada bem. Não devia ter o filtro trocado há anos. O banheiro não tinha box. Ficava encharcado após o banho.

Hôtel avec une décoration de caractère. Chambre correcte , grande avec un bon lit. Surtout l'emplacement exceptionnel sur la place centrale face au théâtre : musique, restaurants...

Hotel bem localizado, staff solicito . Cortinas sem black out. Wi fi no quarto muito fraco , café da manhã muito gostoso

Razoável mas um ambiente histórico antiga que era uma paróquia que é muito agradável mas infelizmente entra muita claridade no quarto no qual nós estivemos faltam Blackouts na janela e a entrada do quarto foi feito de vidro blindado ao longo de um corredor que deixa entrar luz do dia. A minha esposa quase não dormiu!!!! Além disso faltam bancadas e prateleiras para deixar mala, mochila, pastas em fim bagagens de maneira geral. Ninguém lá pensou nisso até hoje.

Localização excelente! Bem no meio do centro histórico, com uma vista de tirar o fôlego para o Teatro Amazonas. Café da manhã simples, mas muito completo e fresquinho. Frutas bem docinhas, sucos regionais e pão fresquinho todos os dias. Doces deliciosos também! As únicas sugestões que poderíamos fazer são em relação ao wi-fi, que não pegava no nosso quarto, e ao banheiro. Não havia divisão entre o chuveiro (box) e o vaso, na hora do banho, molhávamos o banheiro todo. No mais, é um lugar apaixonante.

No hot water, they offer to change room but to a smaller bed

Otima pela Localização porem o Quarto nao tem TV e Frigobar, alem de apresentar Vazamento enquanto chovia. Repito, a Localização é Otima, mas só. Nao vale o valor que cobram.

The room itself was just average. Unfortunately, the pillowcases smelled like they hadn’t been changed, so we ended up sleeping without pillows. The front desk staff didn’t seem to know how to greet or acknowledge guests, which made the experience feel unwelcoming, especially the one who was working in the early morning of Oct. 15. On the positive side, the breakfast was good, and the location is convenient. However, the property could really use some upkeep, and the staff would benefit from basic customer service training.

O hotel é bem localizado e simples, maspresta-se mais para 1 pernoite em trânsito. Má conservação de vaso sanitário (descolado, exalando mau cheiro), de toalhas, de roupas de cama com pequenos rasgos. O staff é reduzidíssimo e sem o treinamento necessário. Como são poucos, muitas vezes não se encontram na recepção. Sequer abrem a porta na saída para hóspedes com malas! Exceção é a funcionária Patrícia, que atende muitonbem.

Adoro este hotel. Localização perfeita. A equipe é maravilhosa. Chegamos aqui e a Patricia na recepção nos recebeu, como sempre, com muita alegria e carinnho.

Dos Frades ligger meget sentralt i Manaus. Rett på siden av operahuset, og i enkel gåavstand til hovedgaten, fiske-, kjøtt- og suvenir-markedene. Meget hyggelig og service-innstilt ansatte. Litt utfordring med lyd fra regn og AC som lakk på første rommet, men vi fikk nytt rom umiddelbart etter at vi ga beskjed. Pris/ytelse meget bra, hotellet anbefales!

The staff and especially the receptionist she was outstanding! She helped us with booking a new day and let us stay in their rooftop until we had to go to the airport in the evening. Highly recommend the place! Good AC and breakfast

Très animé, plein de restaurants et de musique - Propreté irréprochable et personnel très gentil et serviable. - Petit déjeuner copieux et suffisamment varié. - Décoration originale que j'ai apprécié. - Literie très confortable. Seuls deux petites critiques, toutes petites : - la salle de bain un peu petite. - Il manque un petit bureau.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Casa dos Frades — the staff were kind and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable though lighting could be improved. The location is great, close to restaurants and attractions, making it easy to explore the area. Breakfast was good with quality food, though a bit more variety would make it even better.

Equipe gentil

Beautiful old hotel in the center of town, near many restaurants and cafés with live music especially on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Much quieter on Monday night, but still many dining options. Great place to stay for taking day trips into the Amazon. The hotel has a large roof top lounge area and other spaces for sitting, reading, or talking. Our room was large. Staff are very nice and quickly gave us another when the air conditioner broke. Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of items.

Beautiful boutique hotel excellent location on the main square but this is noisy so difficult to sleep until noise dies down around 1am. Really nice decor and attention to detail and apartment concept gives lots of space for a family with lounge area.

The hotel was centrally located for walking and exploring. We were comfortable and safe.

Area is in downtown and during the day feels shady but it’s okay to walk around and at night it gets full with people dancing because of restaurants around and opera house and it feels fine

Very basic. We came a day early Viking Cruise I/5 the cos of Airport Marriott nite before Very close to where we board the ship Hotel across from Opera. Any restaurants within 100 meters or so, Perfect when arriving fatigued

Breakfast was cold due to excessive ceiling fan on full turbo. And the staff werent overly engaging.

Muito ruim, o hotel não oferecia nada de diferente, por mais de uma vez, chegamos e a porta da frente estava trancada. O café da manhã é decepcionante, os pratos que deveriam ser quentes, estavam frios, nàonhaviam talheres no buffet para se pegar os alimentos, não posso falar de opções, pois isso não existia, sem dizer que qdo acabava o que tinha no buffet o item não era resposto. O custo benefício é péssimo, o valor cobrado é muito superior ao que o hotel oferece. A única coisa que posso elogiar, foi o atendimento da Patrícia, nós recebeu com gentileza e liberou o nosso quarto no horário que chegamos.

O hotel possui uma localização perfeita, no centro da cidade. Já o conforto não eh dos melhores mas possui um atendimento muito bom. A senhora responsável por servir o café eh muito atenciosa e um café muito bom !

We love the location of the hotel, right in the main square of the town. The breakfast was delicious and authentic to the Amazon area.

Quarto muito limpo, perto do centro, confortável, banheiro limpo e claro, ar condicionado bacana, o café da manhã foi super gostoso com muitas variedades, comidas típicas, sucos, bolos. O atendimento foi bacana demais, pessoas muito bem instruídas e atenciosas. A decoração também foi uma surpresa, temática muito legal com utensílios diferentes pelos corredores.

Razoável para ruim. Em alguns quartos o ar condicionado não funcionava bem, quando pedimos pra trocar de quarto não dava pq o hotel estava lotado. Os atendentes parecem inexperientes ainda. O café da manhã não é reposto conforme vão acabando as comidas (eram 7:40 e o funcionário disse que era o que tinha ali disponível mesmo - e tava quase vazio). A localização é muito boa. Não acho que vale o custo benefício.
