A séjourné 4 nuits

Stayed 4 nights. Say was fine. Pros: - close to beach; Amtrak, and State St. where food and shopping is located - beds were comfier than expected - each bunk had mini light and shelf. Mine had a broken mini fan - guest gets a locker which holds a carry-on suitcase - bring a lock - aesthetically pleasing - staff was pleasant Cons: - clientele MUCH older than expected- people in their 60s who lacked self awareness..They were constantly loud- slamming doors shut, leaving the lights on, constant in/out of the rooms, it detracted from my stay. I anticipated drunken youth which I thankfully did not encounter - the rooms were HOT. The fan in my room pointed toward the one window- meaning rather than draw cool air IN from the outside, the fan just circulating hot air - quiet hours were not enforced - 11pm to 7am, we had a staff member come in our room after 11:30, turn on the lights to show someone their bunk. Checkin only goes until 10pm so this was odd - sketch behavior during the weekend day- the back door was propped open twice and on one day a guy (i think homeless) met another guy who showed him his room - i think they may have been bunk sharing as I saw the one guy downtown with a group of homeless people in front of another hostel the day before- this made me feel REALLY unsafe - lots of ants in bathroom, poor water pressure, broken toilet, huge table impeding mobility, no hooks in gender neutral bath - kitchen was stuffed with stuff- did not use - spiderweb in my bunk
