Fabulous location, excellent choices for food and drinks. Room was large and had a lift right into the room. This has positive and negatives for noise as guests visiting the rooftop on other side of room via same lift. The rooftop offered a great view of the Parthenon. Was noisy at night outside due to the square and busy food and drink areas. Room was not serviced at all for our 3 nights - would have been nice to have fresh towels. No black tea.

Having narrowed down our choice of hotels to 3 or 4, we eventually settled on Melo, and my word did we make the right choice!. We went for the Luxury suite, hot tub, city view room which turned out to be the entire 5th floor with an elevator that steps out right into the room (which took some getting used to). The room was huge, the balcony was fantastic and the in room fridge proved incredibly useful. The staff downstairs were super friendly and helpful with recommendations and the included breakfast was in a lovely little restaurant right across the street and was the perfect way to start each day. The location of the hotel was absolutely perfect - a 5 minute walk to Monastriaki Square and also right next to a square filled with bars and restaurants - the live music could just about be heard from inside the room although fortunately we aren't light sleepers so it didn't really affect us too much and to be fair it typically finished around Midnight (although we stayed Sunday -Thursday so couldn't tell you what the noise is like over a Friday/ Saturday night). All in all I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Melo to anyone, in fact we are already looking at going back again later in the year.

This property is in a perfect location to experience Athens as a traveller! They have a super cute rooftop as well with great views. When you walk out the front door you have over 50 options of places to eat and drink as well so it’s super convenient! The front desk staff was also extremely kind and gave us all the details we needed about the area!

MELO is located in a perfect location with easy access to attractions, food, and much more. The saff is super friendly and will help with any questions you have. The breakfast from the restaurant across the plaza is a must! The only complaint I have is the hot tub. When we filled the tub and turned on the jets the smell was horrible. They probably need a good deep cleaning.

What a quaint, little boutique hotel, just 4 mins away from monistariki metro station. This is a gem of a boutique hotel with only 10 rooms over 5 floors. Let’s start at reception, a lovely space with the warmest welcome from one of the two receptionist staff we met, katarina and Martha. If the owner of the hotel is reading this…. You could have the best building in the world but without staff like Kat and and Marsha it would mean so little, they are a priceless asset to the Melo and thank you from the bottom of our hearts. So we were in room 402 which had the spa Bath at the foot of the bed. Great room, lovely bathroom, plush amenities, it was higher than our expectations. There’s a lovely roof garden at the top that has views over Monistaraki square and you can see Acropolis at the side. Breakfast is at a restaurant about 10 steps from the hotel door with a great variety of choice. The location is so central we never caught any public transport whilst we were there. Everything was within a 15-30min walk including acropolis, Syntagma square etc. Monastiraki itself is one of the coolest, hippest areas in Athens with loads of funky bars and restaurants all intertwined by the quaintest of lanes and walkways. A lot of the reviews talk about the noise in the evenings. Well recommended

Just got back from my stay at MELO and had a great time - the room was very clean and furnished nicely - I also had a jacuzzi bath in the room which was the perfect way to relax and unwind after a busy day in the city. The area gets a little noisy in the evenings with live music from the local tavernas but it quietens down again after a couple of hours and is perfect if you're looking for a chic party atmosphere. It's also conveniently located near a main metro station and Monastiraki Square so it's very walkable and easy to get to most of the main atteactions in no time.

Want dining options, main shopping areas, near the subway? This place is 5 stars. You're surrounded by restaurants as soon as you leave the building. The tram entrance is super close, as is the next closest one in the square. Shopping is only a few minutes walk away. And the staff are absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful ! Stayed 13 days, would choose it again. Jetted tub was amazing, always had hot water. Rooftop has a great view. Only thing i would mention, the room does not have a microwave. The hotel transport is them contracting it out, expedia says 40euro but it was 48. I didn't have time to research the subway but i would recommend that instead.

This hotel is immaculate, the staff are outstanding!!! And they have a gorgeous rooftop patio! The location is close to everything. We will definitely be returning. Love the coffee maker in the room.

The staff was very friendly, location was good and the breakfast was excellent however our room smelled like cigarettes and was not very clean. There were stains all over the seating area and we also found a stain on a towel. It didn’t seem like they thoroughly cleaned the place and it is not being up-kept. It was just me and a friend so it was okay for a night, but wouldn’t recommend it for a family. Seemed like a hotel where younger people go to party.

We had an incredible stay here! The staff was SUPER friendly and helped us with all the information we needed, booking in room massages and helper contact drivers when we needed them to roam the city and head to the airport. The room was very clean and our view was amazing. 10/10 for sure. I will be recommending them for sure. Hopefully coming back one day.

We stayed in room 101 which was a 1st floor balcony room. It was immaculately clean and very well thought out. I loved how modern and spacious it was. Breakfast at the cafe opposite included and absolutely lovely.

WOW! WOW! We had the room on the 6th floor with the lift going directly to our fabulous room, we had a great balcony with egg chair, very large shower room, a fridge and even a record player

Enjoyed our suite and restaurants close by. Rainia at the front desk was an absolute gem. Lots of great restaurants close by. Any taxi driver obtained through the hotel was fabulous. Any ones we hailed were rip off $$ artists and rude.

The property was beautiful and well taken care of. The staff were friendly and helpful no matter the issue. At checking in, Martha was incredibly helpful, giving advice on where to dine. I'm not sure if the name of the other staff that was incredible, but she was a redhead. She helped us when i left my purse in our taxi, she helped coordinate getting it back. The place also felt very safe. You couldn't even get in an elevator without having a code. We were very happy with our stay.

Right by everything! Small but perfect. Irene & Martha were wonderful hosts. They made out time in Athens so much better. Always providing the best guidance. The property is neat, clean, & offered everything we needed. Would stay again mostly because of the wonderful staff. 700’ from the metro/subway & the station is a great spot to shop:walk, etc.

We had an incredible stay here! The staff was SUPER friendly and helped us with all the information we needed, booking in room massages and helper contact drivers when we needed them to roam the city and head to the airport. The room was very clean and our view was amazing. 10/10 for sure. I will be recommending them for sure. Hopefully coming back one day.

Want dining options, main shopping areas, near the subway? This place is 5 stars. You're surrounded by restaurants as soon as you leave the building. The tram entrance is super close, as is the next closest one in the square. Shopping is only a few minutes walk away. And the staff are absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful ! Stayed 13 days, would choose it again. Jetted tub was amazing, always had hot water. Rooftop has a great view. Only thing i would mention, the room does not have a microwave. The hotel transport is them contracting it out, expedia says 40euro but it was 48. I didn't have time to research the subway but i would recommend that instead.

Great room with good amenities (espresso, water provided, seating area, seating on balcony). What makes this such an excellent stay is the LOCATION! It’s right in the middle of the Plaka neighborhood with tons of restaurants and shopping right outside the door! We absolutely loved it! The only issue I had was that the shower door did not prevent water from going out from under the shower door and getting the bathroom floor wet. Design flaw. Otherwise, an excellent stay!

The hotel was modern, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was at a local cafe and tasty, the portion sizes were good. The hotel is in a great location for restaurants/cafes and sightseeing. It was noisy at night from outside the hotel but that was to be expected with the location

We stayed in room 101 which was a 1st floor balcony room. It was immaculately clean and very well thought out. I loved how modern and spacious it was. Breakfast at the cafe opposite included and absolutely lovely.

Rigtig dejligt hotel, centralt beliggende, med venligt personale. Om natten var støjniveauet fra gaden dog uacceptabel højt. Morgenmad på nærliggende cafe var fin, men de åbnede først 08:30 så med opstilling af borde og så videre er klokken 9 inden man får morgenmad.

Dejligt værelse. Vær dog opmærksom på, at ikke alle værelser har balkon. Beliggenhed er helt i top - tæt på alt og i en godt område med super gode restauranter. Man kan høre en del larm og musik - men kun til ca. 01. Morgenmad som er med i prisen er på en hyggelig cafe overfor hotellet. Personalet på hotellet er meget venlige og hjælpsomme. This was a lovely hotel in a really good position. Close to the bars and restaurants of athens. Close to the metro station to get back to the airport. Room was lovely. Water in the room. Drinkable water in the tap. Bathroom was beautiful. Only "complaint" with the bathroom is that the shower water spread under the door into the shower. Whilst there is a roof top there was nothing up there which was a shame.

Room was clean and in the heart of the city easy to walk everywhere. Only issue was no room for storage outside of suitcase but room was big so managed with just open suitcase. And shower had inconsistent temps sometimes could not get hot water. Otherwise was great location.
