The Gomerino Hotel is located in the heart of Valletta. Ideal for wandering through the winding streets or visiting all the main sights from. The port is also a short walk away, yet the hotel is on a quiet street. The Gomerino is a very elegantly styled boutique residence. We enjoyed drinks from the rooftop bar with great views across to the 3 cities and harbour. Breakfast is buffet style with an added menu to order cooked breakfast from but we wouldn’t recommend ordering the full English. The hotel is opposite a large foodhall which has a wide variety of good quality world menus for a quick tasty meal. Our room, classic double, was a good size for two people for a few nights but I think a larger room would be more comfortable for a longer stay, particularly if you want to store suitcases and have wardrobe space. The room was very clean and the bathroom was a good size for two people - be careful with the very hot water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and I enjoyed a lovely massage from Maria during my stay. Order taxis through the Bolt app rather than using the white taxis. We look forward to visiting Malta and staying at the Gomerino again.

This is a wonderful hotel, staff are brilliant. Great rooftop terrace. Breakfast was buffet and cooked to order, which was first class. Nice area with easy access to all attractions. Great pool are in basement.

Lovely Boutique Hotel in an elegant but well modernised building very close to the centre of Valletta yet away from masses of people. The public areas were extremely pleasant to use, especially the rooftop area with pool, loungers, tables and a fantastic view over the harbour. Hotel staff were exceptionally pleasant and efficient making everything seem effortless and relaxed. It all made for a wonderful holiday.

Delightful hotel. Friendly staff, superb location, good breakfast choices, balcony room... This is a lovely period hotel, built around an elegant interior courtyard. There is a small rooftop pool, with a terrace having a splendid view over the harbour.

Great stay at the Gomerino. The location is perfect for easy walk to all the main sights in Valletta and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The traditional hotel building and rooms are very nice. The rooftop pool is not huge but has a nice ledge within it to sit and admire the fantastic view from the hotel. It should be noted that there are not that many loungers and a few times during our stay we struggled to get a lounger as it was so busy. There was also a lot of loungers taken but where it seemed that the occupant had left their towel to reserve the lounger for a long time.. The breakfast was nice with an a la carte option to order fresh along with a buffet selection. The service at breakfast was very attentive and all the servers were very friendly.

The staff were fantastic nothing was to much trouble & the hotel was verry clean also good position for shops & bars etc also the breakfast was fantastic On the down side the hotel bar closed at 9 pm so if you wanted a drink when you came in after dinner then forget it.

This is a charming boutique hotel. Staff were extremely friendly and the room felt luxurious and very clean. The use of the sauna was nice. The pool could be bigger but it was nice to cool off in. The breakfast was tasty and I enjoyed the yoghurt with compote and the scrambled eggs. I’d have liked to have been here longer.

This hotel has been amazing. It’s the second time we have stayed here. Everything is very clean. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Excellent place to stay. It’s within walking distance from everything. So convenient

The hotel staff were very friendly, polite and professional. They had read their notes to know we were returning guests and they helped mark our anniversary too, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel and all areas and rooms are very clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool and sunbathing area are a great feature. James, Ellen and Raisa deserve special mentions. The food and drink on offer were lovely and the service was always good.

The Gomerino Hotel is in a great location in the centre of Valletta. The majority of the staff were very friendly and helpful. One issue is with the room cleaning. On a couple of occasions we came back to find the room being cleaned at 3pm in the afternoon, which was frustrating. Breakfast was a highlight. The roof terrace and pool area were great although there was very little service up there if you wanted a drink. Our room was very small and right by the lift. It was quite noisy. All in all we did enjoy our stay at The Gomerino.

Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us, from the cleaning team, waiting staff, bar staff and reception, everyone served us with a warm smile and plenty of enthusiasm to make our stay wonderful. Very clean and spacious room. Nice amenities at the hotel and beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and high quality ingredients. Hotel was in a perfect location with lots of restaurants nearby and easily accessible to the ferries and bus terminals. Loved our stay would definitely recommend!

We were surprised by how quiet the room was despite the fact that the street is narrow and there is traffic. Very convenient to everything in Valletta. This hotel is wonderful the staff are so helpful especially Alison who always had a smile on her face and nothing was too much trouble. When booking the room I would try and book one with a balcony as the other rooms do not have windows. It’s not a major issue as there is air conditioning. It’s central to all of Valletta and major attractions. The breakfast is excellent and plentiful

At first i loved this hotel so much despite a bathtub that would not drain. However, on the third day of my stay at the hotel the AC completely stopped working. I would turn on the thermostat but the AC unit would not kick on - not even the fan. Because that third day was a bit chillier (67 degrees Farenheidt) I thought perhaps that was the reason for it not turning on. However, the next day it was the hottest day of my trip and still the AC would not turn on. On my way out of the hotel for dinner, i stopped by the front desk to ask if they could have someone take a look and the receptionist looked at me and said “What it’s not cold enough for you?” And i explained not that the thermostats minimum temperature (18 degrees Celsius) was not cold enough, but that the unit would not turn on. She looked at me and said “that’s because it’s not cold enough for you” and then called the handy man and they both proceeded to smirk and laugh at the American who they thought needed an obscenely cold room - i didn’t i just needed the AC to work period. As they laughed, they said they would take a look. They never did and they never fixed my AC. Later that evening i emailed management about my experience and never received a response. By my sixth day in the hotel, i was sleeping with no blankets and sweating through the bedding because of how hot, humid and stuffy the room would get. I am stunned at the disrespect and unprofessional isn’t. Do not stay here.

Stylish hotel which ticks a lot of boxes. Lovely, good sized room. Generally quiet location, despite being central and convenient. (There was some noise through a connecting door; people were unaware of it and were quiet after being requested to.) Breakfast was good with lots of options, buffet and cooked. Avoid the coffee. You can’t classify yourself as a boutique hotel and serve up Nescafé instant. Great view from the rooftop bar. Tip: many of the rooms seem to have a window overlooking an open inside area. Do as we did and book a room with a balcony. It a small area and you can’t really sit out on it but it does give you a street view and outside light. Generally we were very pleased with the hotel and would certainly look to book it again if we came to Valletta.

What are the things we look for in a hotel? Welcoming and friendly people, clean and well appointed, great location and good transport links - both in how to get there and getting around. The Gomerino Hotel had all these and more. No wonder they have won multiple awards. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, and they were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. Would I return? In a heartbeat.

We have stayed at the Gomerino three years in a row. We like the location, accommodations and have always enjoyed our stay. This time the hotel was completely booked and it was often crowded for breakfast, on the rooftop and awaiting assistance with front desk. Which affected how much we enjoyed our stay. Some front desk personnel are still exceptional with others seemingly needing to be prompted for the service we have enjoyed in the past.

Breakfast service was excellent, however service at the pool bar was non-existant. I called reception a number of times, only to be told the member of staff was on break & we just had to wait! As we left, the receptionist ignored us whilst serving another couple who were taking their time deciding a massage treatment. They even told her to serve us (to call a taxi to airport). Her response, i am serving you, they can wait. We walked out after waiting over 10 mins. Really poor considering she took 2 phone calls whilst serving them, but couldn't call us a cab!

The hotel staff were very friendly, polite and professional. They had read their notes to know we were returning guests and they helped mark our anniversary too, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel and all areas and rooms are very clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool and sunbathing area are a great feature. James, Ellen and Raisa deserve special mentions. The food and drink on offer were lovely and the service was always good.

Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was also great with both hot and cold options. Pool on the roof overlooks the Grand Harbour and also has a bar. Stunning views. The hotel is right in the middle of Valletta so most things are a short 2-5 min walk.

The staff were extremely helpful especially the front desk group ( Ellen, Raisa, Mercyline ) Breakfast was awesome and the location was central to everything. We also stayed 2 nights at the sister hotel Le Brun and Gomerino is the hands down winner. If you want a great Malta experience stay at The Gomerino TKS RON

Just got back from a fabulous week at the Gomerino hotel. Hotel is fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Rooms are cosy and spotless. Fresh water is topped up everyday. TV is smart and you can watch Netflix, Prime etc. Rooftop pool is lovely with beautiful views. Breakfast menu was great and friendly staff. Also in a great location close to restaurants and supermarket. We would definitely stay again if returned to the area and would recommend to anyone.

Great location, walkable for everything in Valletta, and easy to get from the hotel to the relatively flat sections of Merchants' Street and Republic Street if the steeper parts of the city are a concern. A nice room and comfortable beds, and incredibly warm, kind, helpful, and welcoming (but never pushy or overbearing) staff. Everyone at breakfast made us feel like we were visiting friends or family, we were truly sorry to say goodbye at the end of our stay!

Overall we had a very good stay. Pros - friendly staff, good breakfast, nicely furnished rooms (also very clean) and a beautiful rooftop space with an incredible view. Cons: very limited meal options. Breakfast was included in the rate and it was very good, but although there was a room service menu in the room, the receptionist told me that room service was not available. For lunch and dinner you have to find other options. There are lots of good restaurants in the area though, so it wasn't a big deal.

The staff and the area of the hotel were perfect and the rooftop pool was awesome, super convenient. Room service was very good and rooms felt clean and the hotel had a nice vibe and feel. Areas for growth The sauna is not really very good and doesn’t give a normal sauna experience There was quite slow service for breakfast for getting coffee numerous days and often food like the bread was rock solid indicating it was quite old or over cooked or grilled- one morning it was impossible to eat in the cooked breakfast. Given the breakfast was one of the highly rated from other reviews I was surprised by this. There were also limited vegetarian options but the staff were accompanied to remove meat from menu offerings. The lack of a mirror outside of the bathroom was quite frustrating/ I think proving full body length mirrors would be an amazing addition to the rooms. Other than that we had a good stay :)

Great stay at the Gomerino. The location is perfect for easy walk to all the main sights in Valletta and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants. The traditional hotel building and rooms are very nice. The rooftop pool is not huge but has a nice ledge within it to sit and admire the fantastic view from the hotel. It should be noted that there are not that many loungers and a few times during our stay we struggled to get a lounger as it was so busy. There was also a lot of loungers taken but where it seemed that the occupant had left their towel to reserve the lounger for a long time.. The breakfast was nice with an a la carte option to order fresh along with a buffet selection. The service at breakfast was very attentive and all the servers were very friendly.

Stylish hotel which ticks a lot of boxes. Lovely, good sized room. Generally quiet location, despite being central and convenient. (There was some noise through a connecting door; people were unaware of it and were quiet after being requested to.) Breakfast was good with lots of options, buffet and cooked. Avoid the coffee. You can’t classify yourself as a boutique hotel and serve up Nescafé instant. Great view from the rooftop bar. Tip: many of the rooms seem to have a window overlooking an open inside area. Do as we did and book a room with a balcony. It a small area and you can’t really sit out on it but it does give you a street view and outside light. Generally we were very pleased with the hotel and would certainly look to book it again if we came to Valletta.

Lovely staff who couldn’t do enough for us, from the cleaning team, waiting staff, bar staff and reception, everyone served us with a warm smile and plenty of enthusiasm to make our stay wonderful. Very clean and spacious room. Nice amenities at the hotel and beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Breakfast was lovely, with lots of choice and high quality ingredients. Hotel was in a perfect location with lots of restaurants nearby and easily accessible to the ferries and bus terminals. Loved our stay would definitely recommend!

Loved our stay here! The property was fantastic. Rooms were clean and well maintained, breakfast was amazing and you can not beat the views from the rooftop pool. The location in Valletta was phenominal and allowed easy access to sites and restaurants. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Could not recommend more.

My Mother and I really enjoyed our stay at the Gomerino Hotel. The staff is attentive and facilities are clean. My only issue, is there is no outside view in the room. we had a tiny window in our room that I did not bother checking what was on the other side. there is also a lingering smell in the bathroom but we did not spend too much time in the room to be bothered.
