The hotel was nice since some renovations were done. Room was comfortable. Had a small issue with room and hotel manager made good and provided a new room without any questions. Hotel has tennis court and swimming pool. Location was convenient to our weekend activities.

This is a mixed bag. Start with positive... GREAT location and the room itself was very nice and pretty much brand new. The woman that checked us in was very nice. Not much staff interaction after that. There is no elevator and that was a bit of a surprise. There was an elderly couple checking in at same time as us and we saw them struggling. The property is under construction/renovation - so, lobby was unfinished as well as the stairs. There is a basement to the property and the damp smell from that area in the stairwell is VERY noticeable. The parking lot and ramps to the hotel are badly deteriorated, so interferes with rolling bags. Finally - and most annoying - the signage is terrible. There is a big sign at the road but when you turn in, it is unclear which building(s) are the hotel. We circled twice before finding. They really should remedy that. Keep in mind, not many hotel options near town center - so this could be a "go-to" option once they finish construction and address the (temporary) drawbacks.

Property was very hard to find. There is a big sign by the road but then nothing else. It’s hidden in the back behind another building. It looks like it could be an apartment complex without a sign.

wifi wouldnt work called they said theyd fix it and didnt. floors were dirty and door was open upon arrival for anybody to just go in. other than that the pool was nice and liked the shuffle board and pickball courts and convient location

Check in experience was difficult. The office is not marked, The hotel buildings themselves have no Vervana markings. The only signage is at the road. We found the office by asking someone we found in the parking lot and were asked by two others where the office was. Once we found the office, the check-in was fine. The hallways are paneled in dark painted wood, making them under-lighted and depressing. I understand that they are not quite finished with their remodel, but temporary signage in a place that looks more like an apartment complex is important.

First, Cliff, the front desk person, was wonderful. He gets 5 stars. The hotel itself? Not good at all. It was like putting. Afresh coat of paint on a rusted out 70 year old car. The room 2102 was in very bad condition, "jet tub" was scraped all over, was filthy and then didn't even work after filling it for an hour. Ceiling tiles were a mess. Everything was terrible. He switched our room to 2114.. it was updated more than the previous room, but we were grossed out. This hotel chain needs to step it up a notch. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!

Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Building was quiet. Wifi was fast and stable. Very relaxing environment. I would definitely come back to see what future improvements are made to the property as I was told by the front desk staff that they're making a constant effort to upgrade the facilities.

This is the best value stay in Bennington. As a parent of a Bennington College student, we have stayed at several properties in the area, including this one before it was renovated. The rooms are bright and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable. The furniture is new. The TV is smart and you can get Netflix or other streaming services. The bathroom was a shower only, but it was brand new and the water pressure was great. The temperature in the room was comfortable, I think the heating cooling system is new. Coffee bar in the lobby a little lacking, kuerig, with hazelnut coffee mate, a plain choice would be great. Staff was amazingly kind and adequate. They are not on the property 100% of the time, but that is okay.

Had a very nice stay in a clean and comfortable room at a very affordable price . The manager Cliff was helpful and extremely accommodating in helping set up a late arrival plan as office would have been closed when arrived! Thanks for a nice stay will likely be back again in future.

I have used Expedia dozens of times over the last ten years and everything has always been great. I recently booked a trip to my regular hotel in Bennington, Vermont, but not on Expedia, They weren't listed on the site when i was viewing selections. Apparently, they were undergoing a change in ownership. Iv'e stayed at the Paradise dozens of times. Always a nice, clean, comfortable establishment to stay at. I have always been happy there. On a most recent trip there which I booked directly with the hotel with the old ownership, I had a dilemma with my key. I alerted the clerk who stated he would take care of it. When I came back later that night, my room my door was open, deadbolt sticking out, Do Not Disturb sign on the knob. Anyone could have gone in the room and taken my bags, I had a laptop and cash and other valuables in the room. The mgmt. never bothered to call and tell me they hadn't corrected the dilemma. which was associated with a keycard. They just left my room door open and called it a day. When I complained, the clerk next day said he was informed my family and I were moved to another room, which was never the case. I asked for one of my two night's rate be refunded just to make amends. It took some haggling, but I was given half a night's rate back which is quite unacceptable. The new owners or staff didn't even seem to care that they put my possessions at risk. I would not recommend the Paradise Inn. They clearly show no regard for their clientele.

I deserve some kind of refund. Showed up to check in at 3 and was unable to because of an internet problem. I called many times and got no answer. I had to completely change my plans it caused me to drive 30 minutes out and back. When I came back the office was closed and my key was in an envelope on the office door.

Still undergoing renovations and not really ready for guests. No secured controlled access to building where we stayed ( door was just unlocked) and no staff after 7pm (very nice and accommodating staff present occasionally, not always by any means, during the day). So did not feel safe. Chemical, paint, dust, construction smells made my husband kinda headachy and occasional cough. No in room coffee. No jetted tub which is why we chose this over similar properties in the first place - yes, newer shower is nicer but my husband is a tub guy. Had to slam room door real hard to get it to shut/lock. No maid service. Hard to find at night coz not well marked, premises not well lighted.

Melinda did our check in and stayed a few extra moments to hand off our key. Which was extra nice as we didn’t know that there was no staff on site between 7 pm and 9 am and were arriving about 7 pm. She had great dinner suggestions as well. Overall a great experience.

Upgrades done are good. Rooms are clean and comfortable. They have a MAJOR issue with room key reader that needs to be addressed immediately. We had group of 36 guys stay for mid week golf trip. They were very accommodating but I had to have my key re-programmed 8 times in 3 days and several others needed reprogramming throughout our stay. Overall recommend this hotel for a stay. We stay here every year for almost 30 years.

There was nobody at the "front desk" when I checked in nor when I checked out. The front desk/lobby was not easy to find, so signage, nobody there when we arrived. The hotel was listed at 15 miles away from the location I put into Expedia. It was acutally 28 miles away. It had snowed on the night before we left. We checked out at 1:00 PM and the parking lot was still not plowed.

There was no free breakfast as advertised, something we had planned on utilizing since we had someplace we needed to be. Instead, we were stuck without food and we were unable to even ask the desk clerk about it as the desk was unmanned at the time (with a sign promising to be back at 9, long after we had left. The room was nice, clean and the bed was comfortable, but the property still looked a bit shabby outside. For the cost, I was expect a bit more and definitely should have gotten breakfast!

1. Asked for an extra blanket day one-never got it 2. Said in listing iron available up request-non-had to order one came day 2 3. Charged card TWICE but said it was declined-had to CANCEL my card 4. Said coffee day 2 in lobby-had to make our own-said pastries never came 5. Asked toilet paper in office-had to find on our own-luckily we found a house keeper 6. Manager and people hanging in office not being helpful 7. Shampoo and soap only one use-ridiculous tiny sized 8. Disappointing stay-we should be getting some kind of compensation for all the awful experiences…
