Another example of a hotel that's more than happy to take your money but not provide a service or facility to match the fee/charge. Don't get me wrong - I wholly appreciate that it's a 3 star hotel - I am not expecting 5 star standards or service. However, regardless of the star rating, the very least a hotel should be providing is somewhere clean, well maintained and staff who show some semblance of friendliness towards guests. Whilst check in and check out were not terrible - I certainly did not feel 'welcomed' on check in or 'appreciated' on check out. For a 3 star - the bedroom was very spacious - but very, very dated. But the lack of details was dreadful - storage shelves far too high, dirty plug sockets, in the en-suite - it was full of "screw holes" not filled in, a hand dryer that doesn't work (so just remove it) - the shower head was far too close to the wall. The room just needs to be updated and cleaned properly. The canopy out the back is littered with holes - just remove it. Listen, the above may sound "small" (to some people) - but I am tried of businesses not doing what they are supposed to. Their websites are laden with superlatives - but then in reality - I rarely see them. If you say you're going to do "A, B & C" - or that you are "A, B & C" - then do what you say. But stop under delivering and over charging - it's so insulting to a paying guest.

Stayed 2 nights

Free car park provided at the back of hotel. Lobby area and restaurant was great. We had breakfast with our stay and staff were very helpful and food was really good with decent choice of hot or cold items. Fresh coffee was included but wasnt very nice unfortunately (tasted like instant??). Stairways and corridors to rooms are looking pretty tired. Carpets on stairs are very threadbare and really discoloured (dont think they were dirty but just stained from years of use). Our room was a great size and bed was massive. Room was really clean but looking a little tired although no where near as bad as corridors. TV channels kept losing digital signal which was annoying. We reported this on our first night but nothing happened to improve it for our 2 nights. However bed was super comfy and we slept great. Overall the hotel was fine. Would i book again.......possibly although I would probably try other places first. Restaurant 8/10 Stairway/corridor 4/10 Bedroom 6.5/10 Staff 8/10
