This is a cute historical hotel that is right behind a beach with some of the D-Day relics on it. Great location close to shops and restaurants as well as historical sites. We could park our rented car for free in the neighboring lot. The bed was also one of the most comfortable that we slept on for our entire stay (we stayed in 6 different hotels) so we got a good night's rest. Highly recommended.

Very good position opposite the beach. Lady in reception was very nice & helpful. The hotel was cheap & cheerful, rooms are upstairs from the restaurant. There is no lift , rooms are accessed by stairs only. Breakfast was very good & cheap. A few free parking spaces behind hotel

We were put in the attic room not the room we had seen In advertisement we had to climb three flight of stairs as there is no lift very small and degraded room will not go back.

Stayed here for 4 nights as a base in the middle of the landing beaches. Hotel is only a few meters walk from Sword beach. Hotel is a little run down. Parking is limted to 5 spaces and always seem to have staff cars in it. Parking mext door was chargeable 7am to 7pm but parking on local streets nearby is free if you can get a space. Hotel was having scaffolding erected when i arrived so if i paid for a room with a sea view i would have been angry. Room itself was pokey and a little mould in the bathroom but nothing major. Bed was comfy.

Hôtel assez banale, nous avons dormis dans une petite chambre cosy bien pour une nuit. Cependant la déco et l’ensemble est un peu usagé (peinture écaillée, etc). La salle de bain mériterait un coup de neuf (les joints sont noircis etc.) Insonorisation des chambres nulle (on entend les voisins comme s’ils étaient dans notre chambre.) Localisation bien placée par contre parking très très petit nous n’avions plus de place en arrivant à 18h. Pour finir petit déjeuner est assez simple pour un prix de 12€ nous nous attentions à beaucoup (petit dej jusqu’à 10h) nous sommes arrivés à 9h15 et il n’y avait quasiment plus rien.

Hôtel vétuste. Moquette vétuste et sale. Chambre très exiguë ainsi que la salle d'eau. Isolation phonique inexistante. Chambre côté cour donnant sur salle des fêtes où une fête s'est tenue jusqu' a 6heures du matin. Décoration générale d'une autre époque y compris les toiles d'araignées.

The Shower head did not fit and only was for someone 6ft 5in like my partner I had to take it down and use as a handheld shower and could not turn it off had to call my partner to do it, in the Shower cubical there was highly polished tiles which were slippery when wet and no grab rails very dangerous i slipped a few times. After a couple of days we were only given 2 Bath towels no hand towel so one of us had to use a wet towel. We were given paper cups in the bathroom to start with but most days they forgot to give us these also a bottle of water again hit and miss. we had to ask every day for Tea bags and sugar and were only give 2 at a time they also did not wash the cups. Also when we came back to the room one day the cleaners had forgotten lock our room. Breakfast which was extra we had the first day but there was not much and the waitress had to go out to the Bakers to buy more bread etc.

Restaurante-hotel viejo, con moqueta vieja que necesita cambiarse, habitacion pequeña, con un aseo donde una persona grande o gruesa no puede casi utilizarlo por diminuto. Malos olores en ocasiones y buffet caro para lo que ponen, siempre lo mismo, poca variedad y con hormigas. El personal si fue amable.

Bonjour Sejour a l ascension 2022 du jeudi au dimanche Hotel beau de loin que de loin car vetuste chambre ridiculement petite en tres mauvais état table de nuite a la limite de se decrocher de la tête de lit fenetre et vitrage pas propre television ( une boite allumette) et niveau bruit insupportable monté descente des escalier qui résonne dans la chambre fortement jusqu'à minuit Quand au personnel sauf la réceptionniste de hotel et deux serveurs le reste et tres grossier et d une impolitsse !!! Le restaurant et bon sauf que un samedi soir a 18h45 impossible d avoir une coupe de champagne marqué a la carte ? Franchement les deux etoile de cette etablissement ont les cherchent encore cela et juste un marchand de sommeil un piege a touristes Je deconseille cette etablissement passer votre route si vous voulez passer un bon sejour a l hotel a arromanche

The location is good. Very close to the beach and restaurants. The hotel itself is ok. The room was very small (don't bring more than one suitcase). The condition are ok at best. Very loud staircase,you could feel the springs in the mattress and the bathroom floor was quite wet after the shower. Hotel would need some renos. Best is the friendly service and the breakfast was good too.

It was very quiet and across the street from the beach. Friendly staff. I was on the top floor which had a significant roof pitch and the toilet was against the wall. If you are a man and taller than about 5’7” you will have to sit down to relieve yourself.

Pour un hôtel bord de mer et une occasion des 80 ans du débarquement de Normandie arrêtez le service restauration à 20h15 même pour ses propres clients pendant tout le week end et surtout avec la demande importante de la clientèle c’est vraiment dommage et triste Le bruit entre les chambres aussi manque d isolation ou établissement vieillissant

We all had a lovely stay in this very authentic french hotel by the sea. 6 bikers 1 room each, top notch food to boot, whats not to like. Perfectly placed to spend time visiting everything the area has to offer, D-Day museum within 50 feet, the area was the hot bed for the D-Day landings and there is plenty to see and do.plenty of restaurants too. The staff are pleasant and although english is not their strong suit, everyone tried, as did we. I can't recommend enough

Impossibilité de rentrer dans l'hôtel car le digicode ne fonctionnait pas . On pensait rentré après avoir appeler le gardien de nuit mais cette personne était dans un état second et incompétent . Nous avons même ouvert la porte avec un outil de notre voiture.

Very good position opposite the beach. Lady in reception was very nice & helpful. The hotel was cheap & cheerful, rooms are upstairs from the restaurant. There is no lift , rooms are accessed by stairs only. Breakfast was very good & cheap. A few free parking spaces behind hotel

Great family run hotel, right on the beach. Clean and tidy , albeit slightly tired, but this adds to its charm. Breakfast nice but basic, dinner very nice, we ate there every night. Staff lovely and helpful. Would recommend and stay again .

Bonjour Sejour a l ascension 2022 du jeudi au dimanche Hotel beau de loin que de loin car vetuste chambre ridiculement petite en tres mauvais état table de nuite a la limite de se decrocher de la tête de lit fenetre et vitrage pas propre television ( une boite allumette) et niveau bruit insupportable monté descente des escalier qui résonne dans la chambre fortement jusqu'à minuit Quand au personnel sauf la réceptionniste de hotel et deux serveurs le reste et tres grossier et d une impolitsse !!! This is a cute historical hotel that is right behind a beach with some of the D-Day relics on it. Great location close to shops and restaurants as well as historical sites. We could park our rented car for free in the neighboring lot. The bed was also one of the most comfortable that we slept on for our entire stay (we stayed in 6 different hotels) so we got a good night's rest. Highly recommended.

It was very quiet and across the street from the beach. Friendly staff. I was on the top floor which had a significant roof pitch and the toilet was against the wall. If you are a man and taller than about 5’7” you will have to sit down to relieve yourself.

Stayed here for 4 nights as a base in the middle of the landing beaches. Hotel is only a few meters walk from Sword beach. Hotel is a little run down. Parking is limted to 5 spaces and always seem to have staff cars in it. Parking mext door was chargeable 7am to 7pm but parking on local streets nearby is free if you can get a space. Hotel was having scaffolding erected when i arrived so if i paid for a room with a sea view i would have been angry. Room itself was pokey and a little mould in the bathroom but nothing major. Bed was comfy.

Restaurante-hotel viejo, con moqueta vieja que necesita cambiarse, habitacion pequeña, con un aseo donde una persona grande o gruesa no puede casi utilizarlo por diminuto. Malos olores en ocasiones y buffet caro para lo que ponen, siempre lo mismo, poca variedad y con hormigas. El personal si fue amable.

Pour un hôtel bord de mer et une occasion des 80 ans du débarquement de Normandie arrêtez le service restauration à 20h15 même pour ses propres clients pendant tout le week end et surtout avec la demande importante de la clientèle c’est vraiment dommage et triste Le bruit entre les chambres aussi manque d isolation ou établissement vieillissant

Hôtel assez banale, nous avons dormis dans une petite chambre cosy bien pour une nuit. Cependant la déco et l’ensemble est un peu usagé (peinture écaillée, etc). La salle de bain mériterait un coup de neuf (les joints sont noircis etc.) Insonorisation des chambres nulle (on entend les voisins comme s’ils étaient dans notre chambre.) Localisation bien placée par contre parking très très petit nous n’avions plus de place en arrivant à 18h. Pour finir petit déjeuner est assez simple pour un prix de 12€ nous nous attentions à beaucoup (petit dej jusqu’à 10h) nous sommes arrivés à 9h15 et il n’y avait quasiment plus rien.

The hotel is in a great location in Arromanches. There is limited parking but a large public car park next door that requires a ticket for a reasonable cost. The hotel is a little tired and needs some upgrades. However, the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing - stale croissants and limited alternatives. Location of the property is excellent although parking in the town is very expensive. The hotel has a couple of parking spaces which cannot be reserved so it’s pot luck if you get one.
