It’s nice place to stay, but advertise a dining room and bar and neither are ever open!!

Fantastic reception team at the hotel makes the experience much better, the credit goes to Eros, Olga, Esmeralda, Alex, Anna and anyone else we forgot who helped us everyday for various tasks for ourselves and the baby. I would highly recommend this location as it’s close by everything, walk < 15 mins and far enough from the noise so it’s peaceful and relaxing. The breakfast, gym and massage areas are also conveniently accessible without too much waiting or need of advance reservations.

Property is under major construction. We were never notified ahead of time, and or compensated. Be sure to call ahead, loud noise, no lobby, poor service.

No on site restaurant for dinning. It it third party owned and they do not operate daily. The room service is third party as well as they order it outside. However, it is close the restaurants and bars. The breakfast dining was excellent with many options to choose from. The rooms were very spacious especially the family room. No on site laundry service at all. The website should be more specific on what is actually offered versus what you get when you arrive.

The one area that needs attention was that during our stay one elevator did not work at all and no one came in to repair. Otherwise the staff were good and the amenities great and the location marvelous

A really lovely hotel. We stayed for a few days after our cruise. The junior suite was perfect for us as it gave our teenage daughter privacy. The room was spotless and the reception staff were super helpful and friendly. Mini bar with water and soft drinks was kept topped up by the room staff who attended daily. Lovely little terrace on level 9 for a spot of sunbathing. My partner enjoyed a session at the gym with chilled bottled water available. 10 minute walk to nearest metro. Didn’t try the breakfast as it was a little pricey for us but managed to grab something on the go on the way to the metro before our day of sightseeing. Overall a wonderful base for sightseeing, in a good location and with a fabulous reception service. Couldn’t fault it

Outdated hotel under renovation works

The hotel could use some more renovation. Saw dust everywhere. The cleaning in small areas was not good. Friendly staff

From check in to check out this was a great experience for us. Excellent level of service from all staff we encountered. Always a warm welcome from reception staff and helpful any time we had queries and requests. Room was kept spotlessly clean. Older hotel so room was larger than standard Barcelona hotel rooms. Room had been refurbished though so all mod cons. Nicely decorated. Large bathroom area with separate vanity area, shower and toilet. Fridge with water replaced every day. Lor coffee machine with decaf and regular pods replaced daily. Selection of teas. Huge choice of dining nearby. Everything from bakeries/cafes to speciality restaurants. Plenty lovely local bars around too. So much to choose from within 10 minutes walk. Walkable to Plaça Catalunya, Plaça Espana or Parc Guell within 20 minutes. Many local parks, attractions and shops close by. 3 Metro stations within 10 minutes walk too. I should mention that our room was on Diagonal side so there was traffic noise. Slightly mitigated by secondary glazing but you still heard traffic 24/7. Not a deal breaker for us as the benefits of area and hotel outweighed the possible noise issues. We'd definitely stay again!

El hotel tiene un estándar de tres estrellas, y honestamente no lo consideraría un hotel de cuatro estrellas. En las habitaciones tienen edredones nórdicos, pero algo realmente extraño es que no usan fundas nórdicas, sino que colocan dos sábanas y la funda del edredón en el medio. Esto no me parece lo más higiénico. Además, las toallas tenían rotos y el elevador también estaba dañado. Durante nuestra primera noche, tuvimos que quejarnos porque no podíamos dormir debido al ruido de los vecinos del piso superior, que parecían estar saltando en la habitación. También pedimos una cama doble, pero las habitaciones solo tienen dos camas individuales que ponen juntas cuando se solicita una cama doble. Esto resultó incómodo, ya que las camas se separaban constantemente, dejando un hueco en el medio, lo que no es ideal para dormir en pareja. Sin embargo, lo que realmente destaca de este hotel es su personal. Son sumamente amables y siempre están dispuestos a ayudarte. ¡Un verdadero punto a favor! En cuanto a la ubicación, es excelente. Si te gusta caminar, puedes llegar a muchos de los principales puntos de interés a pie, y además, el hotel tiene una buena conexión en transporte público, con varias opciones de autobuses cercanas.

Checked in to one suite . The smell there was terrible was burning my eyes : went down to change rooms . They put me in another room . Same strong smell almost like bleach , was actually coming from the wall papers all around the room , same smell in my other partners room as well . Had to leave windows open 24/7 just to get some fresh air in. Also had to go up and down 7 times within 2 days just because keys stopped working .

Great hotel! Modern, welcoming and with a great location. Very friendly staff! Amazing value for the price. It has everything a hotel should have: cleanliness, tranquility and a friendly staff.

Property was very central but a bit oudated and could be cleaner in certain areas.

A nicely located hotel, but pricy and as some noise from the streets around. The reseption area is nice, and the rooms are ok. Shower and toilet without a proper door, but beds are good to sleep in. Breakfast was so pricy we skipped it.

The shower door was not tight enough because the water would leak out into the hallway once you used the jets. The elevator did not have card access and so anyone could easily access the rooms. The front staff were ok. Location was great

Room was clean and spacious. The bellman was friendly and helpful, as was one front desk staff member who assisted me with my phone. (I had issues getting wifi.) However, I found the person who checked me in and out to be unwelcoming. It is conveniently located; there are many restaurants and stores near hotel.

It was hot in the room. Had to open the windows and we had a room by the main street so it was really loid all night. If we shut the window it became too hot to sleep. Other then the temperature, it was a beautiful place. Great location

Property was nice, very walkable area to many shops and restaurants. The only problem was the hotel was very loud due to noisy guest at night and the shower didn’t have a door!

Booked a family room with 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds however was given 2 twin beds combined to make a queen bed- not what I paid for, Shower keeps flooding as the shower door does not close all the way-had to clean up mess afterwards.

Great location and reasonably priced for Barcelona. The bathroom was weird, did not have a door or even a shower curtain.

Very clean and attentive staff! We arrived early so they immediately took our luggage and we were able to stroll around the city for a few hours before checking in. The check in process was smooth and the location was central to many stores and amazing restaurants. We truly enjoyed our stay and would recommend!

We had a great stay at the Hesperia Presidente in Barcelona. The hotel was very nice, with an excellent location and high cleanliness. A big thank you to Jessica and Esmeralda at reception for their fantastic service and friendliness which made our stay extra memorable. //family with 19 letters

This property is in a prime location. The staff was outstanding friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The rooms were beautiful, and I genuinely enjoyed my stay here.

Excelente atención por parte de todo es staff. Esmeralda nos ayudó con todo lo que tiene que ver con asistencia turística y a conseguir boletos para el partido del Barca, incluso consideró que era un regalo para nuestro hijo y lo envolvió y le puso tarjetas postales de la ciudad.

Dropping off bags early, I was asked for all passport & credit card details for security. For unknown reason, had to do it all again when room was ready couple of hours later at scheduled check in time. After doing hotel pre-check in several days before my trip, had to do it all again on arrival as well. At check in I was also queried about age of my son. I stated clearly that he was 16, showed the booking and they also had his passport details. The woman on reception proceeded to tell me he is classed as an adult - their hotel (and many other she told me) class anyone over 13 as an adult. I informed her that when booking through Expedia, the child age was up to 17. Felt quite uncomfortable & nervous that they were going to force me to pay extra, or even not honour the booking. When I got to my room, there was no extra bed added for my son. When I went back to reception to query this, it was a manager who dealt with me and told me that the bed WAS scheduled to get delivered to the room - I would have thought it should have been done in time for the 3pm check in though. The first member of staff then proceeded to talk loudly to me over other customers that she was serving, to say she had already explained there was no bed because my son was classed as a child on the booking. A bed was finally delivered about half an hour later. All other staff during our stay were very good, but those on reception made it a very nervous and uncomfortable. Expedia & hotel need to clarify ages!

Easy check-in, great rooms for great prices, not far from Hop On Hop Off stop and mall. 30 min walk to pretty much anywhere.

+ Staff were very friendly and helpful. + My room was very clean and comfortable. + Probably the fastest internet that I have used in a hotel. +The breakfast was really outstanding, I really enjoyed it. +The hotel is perfectly located in an elegant quarter of Barcelona. A bit away from the most populated touristic areas, which I liked a lot, actually. But you need to walk 8-10 minutes to get to a metro station. +The area feels very safe, even late at night.

Hesperia Presidente was a great place to stay while we were in Barcelona! The location was amazing, with transportation to all major tourist spots and otherwise just steps away. The hotel itself was beautiful, despite the room being a bit dated. Bed was comfortable and amenities were great. The breakfast was good as well. Recommend!

Only problem is parking away by 10 min walking and you pay 17 euro but if you want to park close by will pay 30 Euros The street the hotel on is excellent - full of 100s of shops and restaurants and high brands

We stayed at this hotel and had a great experience. The staff were friendly; the location was excellent, right in the heart of a vibrant area. The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was also very good.

A great location to enjoy the city with family. The breakfast was excellent and the staff was outstanding. For a small fee, they allowed me to check in early which was great because we arrived off a cruise.

A nice quiet hotel just steps away from public transit and the hustle and bustle of central Barcelona. The included buffet breakfast was excellent with far more options than ever imagined. Staff were very friendly and helpful with requests including directions.

Lovely room, fabulous shower and scrumptious buffet breakfast. Our second year in a row there.

We were staying there for 2 nights after ending our Mediterranean cruise. The room is spacious and clean. It is close to shopping, transportation and restaurants. On the top of that, it provides excellent breakfast. We would stay again we visit the city in future.

Amazing! Above and beyond. Breakfast buffet and service are exceptional.
