Lokationen var fantastisk (i gåafstand til stort set alt, undtagen Sagrada Família), og personalet var super imødekommende. Lækker rooftop pool med helt utrolig udsigt, og med bar der dog ikke er åben om vinteren. Det er klart det bedste hotel, jeg har boet på i Barcelona.

Excellent location and a great place to stay in the centre of Barcelona. The rooms only have one temperature setting - though opening the windows can help with cooling down - and the pool is far too small for any swimming - though nice for an outdoor cooling soak - however, the quality of the place and the friendliness of the staff make it a place worth revisiting on a return trip.

This was a great find and extremely central. The shops were on the doorsteps and an enjoyable walk to some of the tourist attractions. Very nice loony and small rooftop pool area, but was perfect to cool down and see a great skyline view of the city.

I don’t know if I received cup room upgrade. The staff are outstanding except one at front desk when asking for change but initial check in was exceptional. Housekeeping exceptional. The smell of perfumeish masking musty odor is overwhelming. The whole place looks like it needs “polished” - it’s more of a 3.5 star hotel. Could be much better. The carpeting on beautiful staircase needs thoroughly cleaned, the dark hallways need to be repainted and it needs to either not smell or smell clean vs perfumed. Again, excellent staff but property needs attention if they are 4 star.

We were in #307 in a redone portion of the hotel (card key, not physical keys). They did not receive Expedia requests for two beds (this has happened with other hotels). Housekeeping came late in the day and wouldn’t enter if we were there, so we often missed getting room changed. The room needs a deep clean. There was a lot of grime around the handicap bars on the shower and a lot of the grout has started turning black (especially under towel hooks). The tub shower door was missing the bottom seal so lots of water on the floor.

I loved my stay there! The hotel is very well maintained and has a charming historic feel. The rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable—everyone was super friendly. We even received a surprise treat for my daughter’s birthday, including a small bottle of champagne and chocolates. It was completely unexpected and truly appreciated. The location is unbeatable—close to everything, with excellent access to public transportation, and in a very safe area. I would stay here again and again!

Excellent location, and rooftop. But, the rooms are not up to the standards (two rooms, same problem), very outdated and filthy bathrooms. You are literally taking a shower in a Petri dish with a lot of moldy grouts, water damage (the exhaust fan does not work) and dirty carpet with stains. I have to say that they have a really good location and nice staff; but please renovate the bottom floors. Even the budget hotels look better than the standard room and way cleaner.

El avenida palace hotel is in a great location. Easy for getting around and the rooftop pool and bar was fun at night for a view of the city. The hotel itself is tired. Our room was one of the renovated ones but we had to pay more. There is a phone in the room but it wasn’t working so we had to walk downstairs when we needed someThing which was a bit of a pain. It is a beautiful old hotel, but it feels old and tired for what you pay. The service was fine though. Very attentive staff.

Our room was magnificent, we stayed at the tibidabo suite and it was very very large (91m2!!). Amenities in the room were extensive and sometimes even to much for 2 people. The hotel staff was very nice, and friendly but the best thing was, they helped with whatever you asked with a genuine smile. Only downside to the room in particular was that when we showered the smell of the gutters came up through the other draining holes, so there was a bit of smell after that. But after a few minutes of ventilation it was resolved. Overal a very very pleasant, central and friendly stay.

We turned on the AC and instead of cooling down the room, it heated the room to an uncomfortable temperature around 75+ degrees. This is a very well run hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful and the property is really lovely and in a very good location. We were made to feel very welcome with a beautiful presentation of sparkling wine on ice. A block away was hub of activity and so easy walking distance to everything.

El Avenida Palace May 24-May 30 We stayed 6 nights here and were fascinated from the moment we walked through the lobby doors. The lobby is beautiful, the rooms are pristine clean, the breakfast buffet has a great selection and everything is very fresh. We loved the rooftop pool and bar, the views overlooking Barcelona are stunning. This hotel is in a prime location and close to many attractions. The customer service is excellent and we would like to thank the entire staff for going above and beyond for us. In particular we would like to thank Sr.Rafael at the front desk for making our first time to Spain a most memorable welcome. We definitely recommend this hotel and we plan to return to El Avenida Palace in the future.

Staff was wonderful!! Centrally located in Barcelona so easy walks to many sites along with close Metro stops. We dined at both eateries they suggested, and they gave us super directions. Gorgeous hotel with a very nice breakfast in the morning. Had airport shuttle there immediately. We look forward to returning soon.

Had a great stay 18-22 August. Breakfast so nice & plenty to choose from. The staff & reception so attentive to our needs. A big bonus was the rooftop pool & bar. Hotel 5 mins away from bus & metro & also 20-25 mins walking distance from Sagrada Família & beach. I would definitely recommend.

Everything was nice with staff and hotel in general. My only beef was that the hotel room smelled like 2 week old urine and staff said that they could not find us another room
