Das Zimmer in 2. Etage mit Blick zum Hof war etwas dunkel, sodass man immer Licht im Zimmer anmachen musste. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Leider ist die Zimmertür sehr schwergängig und daher sehr laut beim Schließen. Dadurch hört man die anderen Gäste auf dem Flur, wenn sie ihre Zimmertür schließen. Die Badezimmer sind sehr komfortabel. Leider wurden die Handtücher regelmäßg gewechselt, obwohl wir sie extra aus Umweltschutzgründen auf den Stangen gelassen haben, um sie mehrfach zu benutzen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr reichhaltig und lecker. Leider gibt es überhaupt kein gesundes Vollkorn- oder Schwarzbrot.Der Pool auf dem Dach sieht nur auf den Fotos der Website schön aus. Vielmehr handelt es sich um ein kleines Planschbecken. Der Pool im Spa-Bereich ist nur als Spa Circuit gegen Gebühr von 40 Euro zu nutzen.

We had an excellent stay. There are some great places to eat within a block, including at the hotel. The spa was wonderful- it is a little confusing that the pool there is not included with the hotel but that seems to be the way in Barcelona for indoor pools. Staff was great, room was comfortable and the view of the fireworks at NYE was perfect. CaixaForum, magic fountain and other great sites are right there.

Went with my family as a first city holiday. 2 adults, 2 children (10 and 7) and it was perfect to explore the city and still come back to a base with a great little pool on the rooftop. Cabs to anywhere were reasonable.

Excellent room. Very clean, comfy beds and high end in room amenities. Friendly multilingual knowledgeable staff. Perfect location. Superior room selection came with access to a VIP lounge area that included complementary tapas, snacks, beverages and breakfast. Rooftop deck with bar, pool and city skyline views. The perfect first stop in my our mother daughter celebratory vacation.

Schönes Hotel aber leider bisschen ins Jahre gekommen. Wir konnten leider Spa Bereich nicht nutzen weil es welche Bauarbeiten gegeben hat der Terrassen Bar wahr auch geschlossen was bisschen ärgerlich war weil ein schönes Ausblick hatte über Barcelona. Frühstück für 5 Sterne Hotel sehr mäßig gehalten. Würde aber nicht nochmals Buchen.

Não houve limpeza do quarto em um dia de 4 dias e nem troca de toalhas. Foi dito que havia no disturb mas ele só ficou durante uma hora durante o café da manhã. Solicitei algumas vezes na recepção toalhas neste dia e só foi atendido tardiamente a noite. Tive que deixar as toalhas sujas e o lixo no corredor. Apesar de pré-pago enviaram a conta para o cartão de crédito. Tive que voltar ao hotel após o check-out para correção.

The metal threshold between the room and the bath was not completely attached and leaving the bathroom i caught my left ankle on the sharp threshold and punctured my ankle at 3AM and spend the night in terrible pain. I asked for that night to be comped which I thought was very reasonable under the circumstances since I was unable to leave the hotel until mid afternoon because of the pain. The hotel manager did not get back to me and when we checked out the desk manager apologized on behalf of the hotel but said she was unable to offer me compensation one night but would give me a credit on the dinner we had the first night $77 and 5,000 pts on my IHG account or 10,000 points but no dinner. She was arrogant and nasty about it. I declined her offers because I do not think it is fair not to compensate for one night where I was disabled for that period because of the negligent, unsafe maintenance of the room and my last day in Barcelona was ruined. There was also a dirty cleaning rag left in the room which is why I am rating poor maintenance.

Technically this is 5 star hotel, it’s incredibly beautiful and everything has been great for the most part. However, I gave it 4 stars because the air conditioning in the room isn’t very strong and doesn’t get very cold overnight. The air is still and hot and sleeping was very uncomfortable for my friend and I. The staff is great, the rooftop restaurant is delicious, and the room is lovely. Just had an issue with the AC.

The room size was good but the service was average at best, not what I expect from intercon. First day we ordered just a plate of fries and it arrived over 2 hours later once we were heading out. I asked for house keeping in the evening and it was after the 3rd time that I pointed it out that they decided to send someone. I asked for cutlery once and it never arrived. I also had to pay 30 euros for 1 hour in the spa which I’ve not ever done in any 5 star. All of this happened in the span of 3 nights

The staff was excellent and very accommodating. Luis at the front desk and club lounge went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. We traveled with one in our party disabled. The hotel did everything possible to make things easy and comfortable. Highly recommend.

This was a very average hotel. The rooms were just average in my opinion. The service was not great either. The breakfast selection was not great at all. I ordered an omelette and waited for over 1/2 hour and had to ask twice what was going on only for them to bring the wrong thing and not even an apology they just went about their business. No one cared.

Stayed here for 5 nights with the family after reading the reviews. I will stay here again. Pros: new ish hotel with modern feel, luxurious interior and friendly staff. The gentleman at the bar (I think his name is Miguel or so) was exceptionally brilliant, going over and beyond to make sure all guests were satisfied. Cons (the word “con” is probably too harsh for this): 10 minute ish drive from Plaza Catalunya which meant cab rides to the good restaurants and key attractions. It is close to the magic fountain though. All in all, I strongly recommend this hotel.

Underbar hotell i en mycket trevlig och säker del av staden. Allt var helt perfekt, från frukosten till rooftop poolen, rummet, baren, ja hela hotellet, superrent. Det tar ca 20 minuter att promenera till innerstaden och ca 20 minuter till stranden.

Great place to stay. It is a little far from the sights ( although right next to Montjuic which we were happy about). Room was beautiful, staff was excellent. Rooftop pool and view is outstanding! Overall we were very happy we stayed at the Intercontinental and would consider staying there again. 5 stars!

I cannot say enough about this hotel. It is pricey but it is very much worth it. The rooms were well laid out and the beds were so comfortable. Having a deep bathtub as well as a separate shower was awesome, as I like a good soak before bed. The breakfast was fantastic, with anything from asian dumplings to fresh fruits, at least 15 kinds of breads and pastries and endless supplies of Iberian ham and cheeses. Cappacinos were excellent. The hotel location is wonderful, in a quiet and safe neighborhood within walking distance of both the Miro Museum and the Catalan Art Museum as well as amazing gardens that have a wonderful variety of plants and cacti. I could go on and on but.....

Lovely relatively quiet location. Hotel was well maintained and staff were helpful. I would highly commend the gentleman who was the only person at the front desk early in the morning - 4.30am of Monday 13 July 2026. He went out of his way to get us a big taxi van even though we forgot to prebook. He was amazing!
