Good hotel - near the beach and about 20 minute walk from the centre of Barcelona. Food was good in the hotel - the only drawback was the pool. It is unsupervised and sunbeds are reserved and not used for most of the day.

We stayed one night on the way to Malaga for a business trip. We were looking for a place with secure car park, dinner and breakfast. We arrived minutes before the kitchen closing time, but the waiter (a 6 language speaker man!) was so kind to organize a beautiful entrecôte for us. Very accommodating Staff. The garage bell had some issues both times, making it a bit annoying to phone/run to the reception to have it open. Direct elevator to the reception. Good breakfast, sweet and savoury options. Although we had no time to use it, there are gym, pool and jacuzzi near the outdoor dining area. Cool! At checkout the clerks was very helpful and patient helping me out with a driving permit (in BNC you need a validation for your car CO2 emissions). Wanted to stay again on the way back but was sold out.

Great facilities, pool, sauna and steam room. Some things didn't quite work, like jacuzzi, bath plug and a room switch. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was brilliant.

Good hotel ! 5 minutes of walking to the beach. Awesome for summer season. We are here 19 to 22 december in winter season. This hotel is outside the downtown area. Only 10 minutes in taxi to go downtown. For winter season, the area of this hotel are very quiet. I dont Know for summer season. But if you want nightlife party you must Book a other hotel. If you want to spent good time on family, this hotel will be very good! Breakfast is 20$ euro per person. Open : 7AM to 10hAM. Classy breakfast with a lot of choice! Our hotel room have a great size and clean. Sauna and turkish bath are nice but Small. Great restaurant and bar in the hotel! Very large terrace also in the lobby on the hotel. We really enjoy our trip me and my wife. I recommend this hotel.

The Good things: The Hotel was at a nice location, close to the beach with a really good public transportation connection. Having the pool was really nice, because in the sea, jellyfish would sting you quite fast. The Bedrooms were clean, but omg they were so loud. The Fan, and some sort of maintanance room located close to the room that we were in, were really loud. It made sleeping really hard. Cant turn of the fan, because otherwise you need to open the window and and listen to the other room. The "wellness"-area was... disappointing. The Sauna was on and off at random times. I believe it heats cyclic, but i went quite often into it with the sauna turned off and no heat whatsoever. But when it was on, it was really nice. Now the turkish bath was disgusting. Fckn disgusting. It smelled there, as if multiple persons pissed down the drain. I talked to the staff, they said they will take a look for it, but nothing changed. Me and my friend couldn't stay there for 15 seconds, it was utterly disgusting. The Gym area was way to small. You have to option to run, run cycle, or run a little different, but with the close distance to the beaches, i'd rather run there with a nice view instead of staring into a wall. Some dumbbels would have been nice. Prices at the bar are also ridiculous. When we came into the hotel, we thought we treat our selves with a Whiskey-Sprite. We payed 28€ for 2 Glasses of Whiskey Sprite. That was kinda crazy.

Great place to stay wouldn’t hesitate booking again! Rooms are very nice and staff is great. Only thing that needs some work is there gym but pool, steam and sauna are great!

Although a €10 taxi fare from town, it is a great location close to beaches. Also close to both hop on hop off lines with an easy stroll. Great restaurant and the pool was refreshing. Ideal for families. Restaurant staff in particular were fabulous. Would stay there again

The room was comfortable and very well looked after – the cleaning service was excellent. The pool area was lovely, although unfortunately the jacuzzi wasn’t working during our stay. Breakfast was decent but felt a little overpriced for what was on offer

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel du 23 au 29 et, bien que l’emplacement soit très pratique, plusieurs aspects sont à améliorer : Il est impossible de dormir le matin à cause du bruit incessant des femmes de ménage qui nettoient les chambres voisines. Elles parlent fort, claquent les portes, et ne semblent pas se soucier des clients encore présents dans leurs chambres. Nous avons également rencontré un problème avec le badge de la chambre, qui ne fonctionnait plus. Nous avons dû attendre un moment qu’un technicien intervienne, ce qui n’a fait qu’ajouter à notre frustration. Côté propreté, la chambre n’était pas très propre. Ils se contentaient de changer les serviettes et les draps, mais la poussière et les sols semblaient négligés. Enfin, l’insonorisation de l’hôtel est catastrophique. Entre le bruit extérieur et celui des couloirs, nous avons très mal dormi tout au long du séjour. Malgré un emplacement pratique, je ne recommande pas cet hôtel si vous cherchez à vous reposer.

Had baby cockroaches in my room on the ceiling. Killed at least 3. Bed has really thin sheets for blankets. Asked for a blanket and the maintenance guy who came showed me the sheet already on my bed, and was not happy. Brought a gross looking blanket with holes in it when asked for something thicker. The flooring was coming up and had a lot of water damage. The latch for the window was broken and the walls are paper thin. So with this and construction nearby you could not sleep. The shower has a half wall, so water runs down it and out onto the floor because it was installed horribly. probably the cause of some of the water damage. TV is super small. maybe 30 inches. Room is basic brown and white. pretty ugly room. Slept pretty hot, could not get AC cold enough.

The hotel is well located, and in general terms it is good. The breakfast is worth having. I didn't like that it has a plumbing smell in the bathroom which is especially bad at night. The people who clean the rooms make a lot of noise, bang on the walls, laugh and talk loudly, so it is impossible to rest for more than 8 o'clock.

Everything was spotless and comfortable. Staff really friendly. Downstairs furnishings were really cool and comfortable. Very up to date. Our room wasnt so up to date. Very basic compared to the rest of the hotels appearance - could be 2 different hotels! The furniture in the bedroom was very worn. The fridge didnt really work. Not very cold at all. Shower - difficult to find a good temperature-got very hot, very quickly. Despite it being a room for 3, there were only 2 glasses and cups. Good location for the beach and taxis outside.

Det mesta var trevligt och fint på hotellet, fin frikost och bra restaurang. Dock var det slitet på sina ställen (kakelplattor saknades i poolen, dörrhandtag trasiga etc) och städningen i rummet var halvdan med mögel i duschmunstycke och i kakelfogar och alltid lite grusigt på golvet. Läget är bra och lugnt, enkelt att promenera till t-bana och lätt att ta sig till strandpromenad.
Det mesta var trevligt och fint på hotellet, fin frikost och bra restaurang. Unfortunately our room hadn’t been cleaned properly when we checked in and the safe wasn’t working, however the hotel was full so were unable to move until the following day. The second room was much better and also had a queen bed rather than two singles which was the requested option. The WiFi in the hotel was awful throughout our stay, and although the hotel is v near the beach and its restaurants, it is quite a distance to the main city. Taxis and buses available just outside which is handy though!

Pros The hotel is located near the public beach. Bus stop is right next to hotel. Very nice local and international breakfast. Cons There were few amenities and some of them were dirty (glasses and mugs in the room were dirty and not well washed). The AC/heater was too noisy, so we were turning it off from the breaker during the night.

- The room walls and windows were not soundproof and we could hear everyone all night. We had to check to make sure the window wasn't open because the sound was so loud. - The AC didn’t work, so the room was very hot. - Our reservation was for 3 people but we only had water and towels for 2. We had to ask housekeeping for an extra towel. - The foldable bed was very unstable and kept falling during the night every time I moved a bit. - There was a stain on the foldable bed’s sheets. - The finishing on all the furniture is peeling and the bathtub has rust on it. - Our room door would only close if we slammed. Overall we had a very poor experience with the room. The staff at check in was lovely, but the room ruined our experience of this hotel that was supposed to be semi-luxurious 4 stars at a fairly high pricepoint. We will unfortunately not be coming back to an SB hotel because of this experience.

Nice hotel but some rude waitres working in the restaurant. Our son with autism and ADHD couldnt eat in the restaurant because of all the people and noice so we took him and his food to our room. A waitress with dark/red hair got angry and told us off that we have to order roomservice. We explained the situation but she just shrugged us off and said that it is no reason. Well, it is all the reason. And normaly i can take food i payed for wherever i want. Zero understanding and tolerance for neuropsychiatric disabilities, unpleasant experience.

The staff were friendly and in many ways the hotel ticks quite a few boxes. The issue however for us was that the room next door were having a party and we didn't get to sleep much. We tried to raise it using the phone which noone picked up (the staff later told us they had been too busy to pick up). We went down to let them know about the noise, and the lady at the counter did go and talk to the guests in the room next door. It however sadly didn't make much of a difference as the party went on, hence the two stars. Insulation seems to be an issue as you can also hear the traffic and doors being closed and open. All in all, the hotel looks good but it suffers from being a bit too ambitious. It would have benefited from more staff and better insulation.

We spent 4 nights at H SB I in Barcelona, where I was in town to celebrate my 70th birthday. I believe I let them know ahead of time of that occasion taking place. At check-in, I was informed that they didn't have the room available that I had booked and upgraded us to a more spacious room, like a mini-suite, that included a jacuzzi tub along one wall in the room. Loved that! On my birthday, Sept.9th, the hotel surprised us and sent to our room a bottle of Cava on ice in a champagne bucket with two flutes. Very generous, and kudos to them for making for a memorable birthday stay. All the desk staff at reception were friendly and willing to help in any way. Veronica was especially patient and helpful with assisting me with making arrangements for transportation to and from Andorra, our next stop, among other things. She deserves recognition. The breakfast buffet was excellent, covering all the bases. I would highly recommend this hotel.

My early check-in was granted which was very helpful as we arrived from an early flight jet lagged with a young baby. We got the room we wanted but no crib in sight. It was brought up shortly once we called. In a safe neighborhood, close to the beach boardwalk. However, not close to the main attractions so definitely required taxi service to get around. Has a cute and spacious outdoor patio with a pool. Overall a good hotel but doesn’t come cheap.

We loved this hotel. Was a bit far out centre of Barcelona but we don’t mind that. We loved the wee local restaurants and bar rooms about and the proximity to the beach, its bars and restaurants too. Public transport was On the door step too and taxi rank outside . Would recommend and stay here again

Downside to my trip was there was no electricity on the first day until around 9pm. I couldn't leave the hotel as couldn't charge my phone and needed google maps to travel. Somehow the staff computers were still working.

The hotel was very nice. Very lacking in service available. There was NO overnight coffee station. NO COFFEE AVAILABLE TILL 7:30AM!!! This is very very bad. There were dozens of people looking for coffee from 5:30am forward that were also disappointed. Also, the dining room is terribly UNDERSTAFED!!! When we were seated, no water was offered, no bread was offered. We had to ask for both!!! I requested a bottle of wine (the 1st on their list) ...they had none. I had to purchase a much more costly one on my dime. The food was also terrible. Much over cooked and not fit to eat. Mind, the food pricies were a fine dining level and the quality was a greasy spoon. Some of the meal was taken off our charge however, someone should have been there to get us something fit to eat for my family from what they had to offer. We went to bed discusted and hungry. I might add, the staff did their best with what very little they had to work with. Again, extreemly UNDERSTAFFED!!! SB Hotels must get this message.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Sowohl an der Rezeption als auch am Buffet. Vom Frühstücksbuffet waren wir positiv überrascht nachdem die Bewertungen doch so unterschiedlich waren.
